The food here is below average with what seemed like cheap or old ingredients. The eggs tasted like the yellow stuff in a carton and the corned beef has was straight out of a can. Had a bit of time this morning, so I decided to visit one of my favorite breakfast places. I had been wanting a chicken fried steak for about a month, and was excited to see it on their menu. I chose hash browns and a biscuit for sides with scrambled eggs. The steak was good, but the breading wasn't very crispy. Also, I was hoping to have a bit more gravy to put on the biscuit, but the did bring some jelly. I want to say a word about the biscuit. At first, I thought it was under cooked, but it simply didn't get as browned as I expected. The FLAVOR, though, was EXCELLENT! it was as good as I've had anywhere. As always, I thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of the surroundings, especially as I sat after my meal, savoring my excellent cup of coffee. And finally, the main reason I keep going back: the service. They do wind up with a new face or two each time I go, but I also see mostly familiar faces. They are friendly and efficient. That order is important to me. I don't feel well cared for by getting efficient service, but by friendliness. However, if you spend all of your time chatting with me or someone else, that friendliness is out if balance. They don't let things sit in the window here so it's nice to get everything when it's made. I am gluten-free and I can't tell you how hard it is to find flavorful gluten-free options. I had to ask again if this was really a gluten-free pancake because they have the exact flavor you want from a pancake. I thought it was a generous portion of berries and fruit with the breakfast and the bacon is delicious. I did ask for it extra crispy. Went to breakfast this morning for my birthday. The waffle was good on the waffle special as well as the eggs were okay. I ordered sausage, the sausage patties looked like they were the ones you buy in the stores that are already pre cooked, I asked that I get bacon instead, they brought out extra crispy bacon that obviously had been sitting out for awhile as the bacon was stone cold! Maybe the bacon was a precooked item also, I'm not sure. But whoever heard of getting bacon brought to your table that was cold as ice. I didn't eat it, to say the least. This is pretty much a standard breakfast diner disguised as a restaurant with some different items splashed into the menu here and there. Overall this is a place you go when you want the standard breakfast items. The reason I gave them a 4 and not 5 star review is because the pancakes were a bit tough but everything else tasted good. Tried at 1:54 pm on October 17th. They let it ring through to not take the order. The website and the door say they close at 2:30pm. When I got there to place my order in person the cashier ran to lock the door in my face. He said to me oh we close at 2. I replied to him it doesn't say that anywhere. It's says 2:30 on every business form you have. I then asked him if he was the person answering the phones and he said yes and so I respond so not only are you closing early you aren't even doing your job up until your early close. He asked me what he wanted him to do about it and I told him to do your job while your clocked in. If you close at "2pm" answer the phone until 2pm. It's pretty simple if you're going to close early. read more

Came here with my best friend for a quick brunch. This place is near my house and I have always seen it, while driving home. I'm so glad we came here. They have a very friendly staff. Our waitress was pretty amazing, she made sure our coffee stayed full. I had their meat lover's skillet with over easy eggs and a side of pancakes. The skillet was delicious and so flavorful. I loved the perfectly cooked pieces of meats, and the consistency of the hash browns. The eggs were ooey gooey perfection, and their pancakes were nice and fluffy. We had about 5 cups of coffee each, their coffee was just that good, and like I said they keep it full. The ambiance is very family style, they place is cute with pink and blue walls. The food here is legit, service is top notch. Owners are very engaging and are a very reasonable couple. The servers are very responsive & respectful, the table guy & host are very quick with the tables. The wait is bearable here, 5 min wait for the most parts. Kitchen is clean and the cooks are very quick with replacing something that wasn't satisfactory. Just approach them with a reasonable case and they will help you, don't be a dbag about it. I've seen some grumpy people here causing a ruckus over something that can be resolved. But that's the atmosphere here, expect to be around lots of old folks. Nothing bad about that it's just that the food is too good and the OGs know where to go find good food. They're treated here well so they're always coming back for more food and the engagement they find here. Good spot and best bang for your buck! read more
