First place I ate in visit to Dallas. I'm was skeptical at first as the place in a small shopping center where most stores were closed or empty understandably because it was before 10. The entrance door is tinted out w no signage to know if the is was the correct entrance but it was (store next door was vacant w tinted windows). When I entered it was night and day, definitely don't judge the place from the outside. The server was very friendly and attentive. The menu was overwhelming to say the least, she noticed I was lost help guide me. I ordered OWC French toast, 2 eggs, turkey sausage patty, and cheese grits. The French toast was fire. I had 2 4 triangles and was upset I didn't get more but I didn't need it. The sausage and eggs were normal, Grits ok. Nothing to Bragg about but good. They had a lot of Western style art and decor. I would recommend this place. I would even come back.

Cowgirl breakfast

Ambiance was really cool - old west, heavy wood carved tables, nice decorations. Service was good, no complaints there! Food: I had the Cowgirl breakfast which was the perfect size and really good. The pancake is huge, and tasty although could have used more blueberries. I think the is a good breakfast spot with reasonably priced options.

Great service, good food, fair prices and large portions. Can't complain at all! We came on a quiet weekday morning and it was perfect.

Typically the earlier you go on the weekends the sooner you'll grab a table. The food is good! Like a cute cozy carb filled meal. I love their biscuits and gravy - ugh so good. This particular time I dined alone and just asked for a small table, but the waiter still took very good care of me. Whatever you do, make sure you order something with bacon. It's amazing too. Xoxo.

Decent service, large portions of food that has the potential to be great in an attempt at a western atmosphere. Not the best visit to this local chain. But still good. Came on a Saturday morning. Checked in. Was told 15-20 minutes. After 25 minutes and seeing others go in that showed up after, checked my wait time through the text message, and we were not in line any anymore. Went inside and we were not in the list anymore, they scrambled to find us a table. Service was ok. Kitchen was defiantly slow. I understand it was a Saturday and we had a lot of food come out for 4 people, but no one's food was hot. Inside it almost just an open space with as much western stuff on the walls as they fit. I got the Warrior French toast. Very tasty. Sausage patties were good. Wife got the Trail Boss French toast. On the menu it is described as "cinnamon" crisp. There was no crisp, but still tasty. Friend got the "tacos" with a "flapjack". Her tacos were as big as quesadillas and the flapjack was bigger than the plate it came on. Her meal could have fed the table! We have been to the Grapevine location a few times, based on this visit the Grapevine location is better and will be a preferred visit. Still not bad, great menu and food would have been great if it was hot!

I don't think I've ever seen a pancake as big as my hand!!! My kids were so full after all this food we had to wheel them out! I had the French toast and it was so so good. I enjoyed it and my husband enjoyed his omelet as well. We got here early and by the time we left the line to get I was out of the door. It also looks like this is the gathering place for family gatherings after a long night!! HAHA!!! Our waiter was great and I am so glad that we got to experience Oldwest! We don't live close but plan to come back here if we are visiting!

Y'all. For real. If you haven't visited an Old West Cafe, you MUST try it. It's definitely not your everyday breakfast place, but indulge at least once and eat your heart out. The pancakes are bigger than your head. The hash brown casserole is so yummy. And the service is always on point. Be prepared you might have a bit of a wait as it's always busy for breakfast, but worth it! So it might be a tad noisy but not overwhelming and still enjoyable. Just an all around great southern breakfast spot.

Omelette with their homemade cinnamon roll.

For a breakfast place they had a pretty good selection of food options. The portions are very big so going as a family and sharing would be ideal.

Been hearing so much about this spot, glad we finally can try! It's a no-frills diner that hits all the right marks. The menu had tons of options; from steaks to omelets to migas, there is something for everyone. The cinnamon swirl jack was massive, bigger than my face. It was soft and tasted like a Cinnabon. The Night Hawk omelet with chorizo was really good too, I loved the smokey flavor. Another great thing was the portions are massive, we had enough leftover for plenty of lunch. Truly makes it a great deal.

Grandson and his giant pancakes and bacon Yummy!

Most of the food has no flavor and is not seasoned (grits, potatoes, omelettes). Staff were very kind. But I went for the food.

The food was great, in abundance, in reasonable for what you get. My only issue, was the last time I was there. The food was not very hot.

Anyone know if they have some gluten free menu items? We have a couple family members with Celiac disease in our group.

If you have celiac, I would not recommend it due to cross-contamination since they do not have a separate prep area. That said, I am also gluten free and enjoy the omelettes, bacon and fresh fruit without any problems. I have also enjoyed the hash… Read more

I just did not get the vibe that it was going to be great. We had spent all morning looking for a brunch place that wasn't a two hour wait and this place although it had a wait was not two hours we may be waited for about 20 minutes. The service was extremely kind and hopeful, but I will say that they cook your food to order so you will have to wait and I think it's worth it. The bacon was superb. I actually ordered some to-go because it was delicious! I had the apple pecan French toast and my God!!!! It blew me out the water!!! My husband had pancakes and bacon, and I actually stole his bacon because it was so good. They serve my favorite coffee, which is Segafredo and it was just a pleasant surprise to eat here! We will absolutely be back!

I initially gave this place 5 stars, but after returning recently for the first time in a long while, the experience was extremely disappointing. We came in, got seated, and a guy named Omar handed us the menus. I asked if we could get two hot waters with lemon, and in a very dismissive tone he replied, "Anna will get that," then just walked away. We then saw Anna walk past our empty table three or four times before finally coming over with two glasses of cold water, which we never asked for. I told her we would've requested hot water with lemon, but she barely even acknowledged us. She took the cold water away, turned around, and later came back simply setting the hot water down without a word. When we were looking at the menu, my husband asked what the side options were. She replied in an annoyed tone, "It's right there," while pointing at the menu. My husband then asked if she could just tell us, which she eventually did. From start to finish, there was no smile, no pleasantries, no sense that she even wanted to serve us. Mind you, this was 9 AM on a Monday, and there were only three occupied tables in the restaurant, including ours. When the food arrived, one of the plates had dirt, a dead bug, or something similar on it. We pointed it out, and instead of apologizing, she took the plate away, came back, denied it was a bug, and still seemed visibly irritated. Later, I asked for extra napkins. She returned and aggressively dropped them on the edge of the table without even looking at us before walking away. Throughout the entire meal, she passed by our table several more times and never once checked on us. We left feeling dismayed, disappointed, and honestly feeling like the service did not deserve a tip--so we didn't. This used to be one of our go-to spots after church on Sundays, but unfortunately, that will no longer be the case. Suffice it to say, we will not be returning.

Super traditional diner food, done right. Nothing fancy, just solid, well cooked comfort food. The biggest standout was the speed. Our food came out in about ten minutes, and from the time we sat down to the time we paid and walked out, we were done in under forty five minutes. The service was excellent. The waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and clearly used to handling a busy crowd. The place was packed, which tells you everything you need to know. Despite how busy it was, we were taken great care of the entire time. My buddy ordered the chicken fried chicken and said it was delicious, with fantastic gravy and huge portions. The restaurant itself was clean and well kept, including the bathrooms, which always matters. This is not a fine dining spot, but it is a top notch diner that delivers exactly what it promises. If you are in Fort Worth and looking for a reliable breakfast or brunch spot, this is an easy recommendation.

It is a smaller spot with a great atmosphere that feels like an old school diner, but a little more polished and comfortable than your typical hole in the wall. Easy to get to and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Service deserves a special mention. My server, Marcus, was outstanding. Easily one of the best waitstaff experiences I have had anywhere. He was friendly, attentive, polite, and genuinely appreciative. Yes sir, no sir, always checking in at the right times without hovering. He made the experience even better. For food, I asked Marcus what his favorite item on the menu was and went with the Big Tex Omelet. Fantastic choice. Huge portions, hearty and filling, and cooked perfectly. It came with a generous bowl of grits and two biscuits, all of which were excellent. You really cannot beat the value for the price. I also grabbed a slice of pecan pie to go on Marcus's recommendation and it did not disappoint. If you are in the area and looking for a great breakfast spot, this place should be at the top of your list. I will absolutely be back next time I am in town.
