Big breakfast sandwich
John Q.

Sunny Street Café has become one of our go-to spots for breakfast. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the food is consistently delicious. It can get busy--especially on weekends--but they do an excellent job keeping things moving and getting your food out quickly. My personal favorite is the Big Egg Sandwich, but honestly, everything I've had there has been great. The muffins are huge and perfectly baked, usually topped with a drizzle or crumbly topping--so if that's not your thing, just ask for it plain. Sunny Street Café is a warm, welcoming spot that always hits the mark. Definitely worth checking out!

Now that is a BLT!

The service is what's always expected here, great!!! Great service great food and you can get a BLT before 11 AM, unlike 7-Mile Cafe.

Buttermilk pancakes and grits
Blessing B.

I ordered a buttermilk pancakes with a side of grits. The staff didn't take long to complete my order and I picked up the food shortly. The buttermilk pancakes were huge and smelled and tasted delicious. The grits were yummy as well. The portions are generous and the food is filling without being greasy. I appreciate that they put plenty of butter and syrup in my bag with the plastic ware. The inside of Sunny Street was clean with an inviting atmosphere. I look forward to dining in or ordering carry out again in the future.

Very nice small cafe style restaurant. It is a chain restaurant but good. Very clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I had the fresh squeeezed orange juice, the hearty breakfast with 3 eggs scrambled soft, hashbrowns, pancakes with bacon. I added a side of ham and 2 English muffins...I know...I was hungry!!! Everything was delicious! The kitchen made my eggs exactly like I enjoy them. I love crispy bacon and it was how I like...I know not everyone likes crispy bacon, so that may be an issue for some people. Highly recommend...a very enjoyable meal

the breakfast menu

I'm always looking for something different. Here we live just a few miles away and have never tried Sunny Street. It's a block off of Keller Parkway so you won't necessarily stumble on it. I brought my teenage here for a vacation breakfast. It's very clean inside and definitely has that cafe feel. The menu is not too overwhelming so it made the decisions a little easier. The waitress was super friendly and checked in on us often. So I ordered the country omelette that comes with gravy. However, I opted for that on the side and ordered a biscuit. The country omelette has cheese, onions, sausage and hash browns in it. My side was grits. WOW!!!! those grits were awesome. So good that next time I'll order just a bowl of them for breakfast. The omelette was good and the biscuit also. The gravy was good but slightly too runny for me. My daughter liked her big bite breakfast. Overall it's a solid 4/5. I'll definitely come back.

Tex-Mex Omelette

The Tex-Mex Omelette from the "Off the Menu Favorites" seemed the most tempting. While a lot of restaurants offer a variation of an omelette with chorizo, I do not recall any which included chili. The omelette was tasty, but the recipe needs tweaking. Whether it was from the tomatoes or the chili, there was excess liquid in the omelette which softened the eggs. Those who like putting salsa or ketchup on their eggs may enjoy the softened omelette. The hash browns were crispy but too dry for my preference. And we are back to restaurants which only offer one slice of toast. The staff is very friendly and professional. I never had to ask to get my coffee refilled. Although I could have easily gotten a table, I chose to sit at the counter and not take up an entire table. Eventually, the restaurant got so busy that even the bar was getting full.

Great spot for good food.(coffee could have been stronger for my liking..just being honest) they are open at 50% and handling it VERY well The staff was friendly and the food was good. My order did get messed up a little however the waitress was more than happy to correct. In the middle of a pandemic, I told her I would eat anything SO NO WORRIES!! Not a hug place but there is seating outisde and the prices are average for brunch spots in the area.. nice bar seating too if you like that

The space is small, there is no service attitude, and the crispy shredded potato are too greasy.

Another great meal today. Busy but no wait again on a Sunday morning around 1030am!…read more Friendly staff that appear to work well together. Today I finally ate off the lunch menu and was not disappointed! I got the California Wrap ($12) which is massive! Should have split it. Burrito sized tortilla stuffed with grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce tomato & bacon (I asked for no mayo). Portion of fries was huge and they were good. Crunchy on outside, soft in middle. My Mom got the Turkey Bacon Club & Fries which was also massive!! We brought more than half our meal home. Will share next time. My only two wishes for improvements (and reason for removing 1 star) - need a homemade ranch & decaf coffee. If can't do homemade ranch, switch to a better one than what's currently being used. Love this family owned small business! You will not be disappointed if you want good casual food for a good price! I look forward to trying the newer location off NE Green Oaks & Collins (where Al's used to be) sometime soon.

Sunday breakfast around 830am. Seated immediately in a booth. Waitress took our drink order and…read moregave us a minute to review the menu. Location has lots of seating and is new. I like the booths by the windows, allowed us to see outside during our meal. The breakfast menu has LOTS of options, so it may take you a minute to find what you want. I picked the 4x2 which comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage and 2 pancakes. I asked if I could opt for a waffle instead and the waitress said I could but there would be a unchanged for it...she thought $2-3...no problem. As she delivered our food, she advised the charge is actually $5. I'm expecting a good waffle for the price increase....and I was completely disappointed when she brings out what looks like a thin, non-belgium waffle (even though the menu said it was a belgium waffle...) you'd get from another place that serves waffles and has waffle in its name and gets a bad rep for attracting some wild characters. Not knocking that other place, I like their food and you know what you are getting. I digress...but my mention of that "other place" can be tied back to this place in that the food quality is about the same, except here my meal (2 plates) cost $40 and would have been about $20 at the other place. For what its worth, my eggs were cold and the bacon was waaaaay overdone. Not crispy, rather it was burned by grease and old bacon scraps. With the number of breakfast places in the Keller/Alliance area (including that other place..lol), I think I'll pass on this spot. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either.
