They have a fun summer menu with unique seasonal creations alongside all the classic favorites. But what I loved most was the space itself. It's inviting, calm, and beautifully designed. The neutral tones paired with the greenery make you feel like you've stepped into a peaceful little oasis inspired by nature. Here's a version that flows with the rest of your review while keeping your style: Coffee was served in a real glass, which is always a nice touch, and had the perfect balance of flavor, creaminess, and coffee. After chatting with the friendly barista while ordering, I decided on the Raspberry Danish latte, and it did not disappoint. We noticed this spot on our last run through Roanoke and decided to give it a shot! For starters, the vibe is so fun. It's incredibly well decorated and has a really earthy, fun vibe to it. Everyone was friendly and the woman taking our order was especially helpful and accommodating. I had asked to try one of their seasonal drinks, but was concerned about dairy content. She was able to recommend some dairy free drinks and offered to make the drink I was asking about dairy-free. I went with her offer and really enjoyed how they made it! I was grateful for their accommodating service and consideration. We're in Roanoke often, so can't wait to make this a staple! read more

This spacious yet cozy coffee cafe is located on the south end of downtown Roanoke directly behind town hall. It has so many windows I wondered rom the yelp pix whether it was in a hotel. Decor is brown and green, with a large number of tables, some bar seating and comfy leather sofas and chairs. Some of the spaces seem a little cluttered, and the reliance on plastic greenery was a bit heavy. But, overall the room feel welcoming and like we could settle i and enjoy a comfy chat. We came for coffee and found the specialty menu full of yummy driks to try. We opted for a Crème Brûlée and Tiramisu latte, both large and hot. They were served in mugs and were pitch perfect blends of sweet with the robust espresso flavor. The cold foam on the Tiramasu was particularly nice. The large size comes with four shots, which we felt pretty strongly. We also tried an Asiago bagel with cream cheese which was deliciously toasted and packed with melty whipped cream cheese. The blueberry muffin may have been the biggest surprise, a jaw dropping sweet, citrus, cakey masterpiece. Service was friendly and swift. The staf was helpful, answering all our questions and made excellent recommendations. My only nit is some of the bar seating was cluttered with what looked like groceries on a busy Sunday morning. And the first seat was chose had been left with half-drank glasses and some trash. They tree staff working had a lot to do, so not a huge deal. We just had to clean it ourselves. Overall a great experience we will repeat. If you want to make a morning of it, come Sunday between 9-1 and enjoy the weekly Roanoke market across the street too! read more

Incredible cafe with beautiful decor and amazing coffee. Really impressed with the layout. It was packed but the seating arrangement gives just enough space without feeling crowded. The coffee itself was excellent. I had a creme brulee latte. A great balance of smoothness and sweetness. Plus the prices are very fair (which is hard to find nowadays) The outdoor patio is large with plenty of space. This is the best coffee shop that I've found in Roanoke. Check it out. read more

This is a nice coffee shop located within an apartment complex, with lots of street parking nearby. The interior offers lots of comfy seating for work or meetups. The staff was super friendly. Their menu was extensive, lol it took me a while to get thru everything. I ordered a simple caramel latte, it came pretty good. They adjusted the syrup level like I requested. We ordered a few different things. The Teddy Bear Latte HOT with whole milk was really good and probably the favorite. The Teddy Bear Latte ICED with whole milk tasted more like milk than coffee, though the topping had a little more flavor. The Coco Caramel Latte hot was okay, but the Teddy Bear Latte hot was better. The apple turnovers were warm on the outside but cold in the middle and a little chewy. Overall, the place is pretty spacious, but I wouldn't make a special trip just for the coffee. read more

Coffee is so delicious and the inside is beautiful, cozy, and inviting! Coffee came out super quick and they even have a "grounds for your garden" basket. Not just a stale aesthetic coffee shop Aromas has such a neighborhood feel regardless of being newer to Roanoke! So happy we have a great coffee shop now. Went for the first time yesterday to meet with friends and I'm excited to go back. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. I ordered a drink and wasn't a fan. I asked if I could exchange for something different and was treated amazingly to say the least. This shop has a beautiful set up and the main thing I love about it other than the green and gold theme is that it's Kid friendly!! There's a corner with a dollhouse fill with toys to play with. It's not the closest coffee shop to me however this experience was 5 stars across the board. Thank you to the man who came from the back to help me choose my replaced coffee and the two young ladies working the counter! I also had their jalapeño kolache. Aromas is a charming local coffee shop located in downtown roanoake. Aromas has plenty of natural light, places to sit and a little library area. They have an extensive menu of drinks and pastries. The treats and drinks are on par with local coffee shops, so this will be an occasional treat. I opted for the chai latte and the gluten free sea salt chocolate chip cookie. The staff are friendly and quick with the order. The chai latte was delicious, however I wish they filled the drink to the top. The cookie was drier than expected, however it was delicious as well. Aromas is across from city hall which has plenty of benches and space to walk around. I look forward to returning. read more

The staff is lovely and very knowledgeable! I also got a piece of the lemon blueberry gluten free pound cake from pinch of salt bakery, it was so good! If you're picky about the taste of your coffee then this is the place for you. My go to drink is a Cortado and most coffee shops I order at serve up a sour under extracted shot of espresso but Aromas has their stuff dialed in. I've ordered on two different occasions and both times have been on point! Their blend of espresso has some really nice chocolate undertones and just tastes full and rich. They have a huge menu of drinks and even some yummy sounding seasonal ones but I just like mine a little more simple. The service has been great too. The staff is happy to see customers when they walk in and actually greet you and smile! I know that sounds silly but not all coffee shops check that box sadly. The vibe is pretty good but feels a little too quiet for me personally. I'm sure a lot of people love working or studying with it being so quiet but I tend to like it a little more lively where you can have a conversation without you feeling like the entire place is listening. Our new favorite. My husband and I have had a long standing tradition of going out for coffee on Friday evenings. A good way to wind down from the week. This is our new Friday coffee spot. The drinks are so good. I usually get a mocha and have enjoyed both the hot and cold. My husband gets the Tiramisu latte and speaks highly of it. I've not had any bitterness in any of the drinks I've ordered. The atmosphere is beautiful. It feels very relaxing and peaceful. Also the customer service has been so helpful and friendly.
