SummerMoon continues to be one of my favorite coffeeshops. The friendly faces, menu variety, natural light and seasonal drinks add to the warm atmosphere. I came here recently to meet up with my friend. We ordered the cinnamoon latte (substituted oat milk for 2%milk) and a slice of gluten free pumpkin bread. Summer moon is my fav!! They were having a little technical difficulties while we were ordering, but no worries!! They took and made our order and allowed us to pay once everything was up and running. No waiting necessary. The harvest spice 1/4 moon was amazing and we paired them with a pumpkin cheesecake Bagel and a bacon jalapeño bagel. Sooooo good!!! read more

Got another coffee spot for you to check out. Summer Moon looks a lot like Starbucks when you walk in. Very similar in layout and feel. However, there are some incredibly unique aspects of SM that intrigued us. Coffee beans that are roasted in a wood fired process and they offer what they call Moon Milk. First, the roasting. The coffee at Summer Moon has a rich, deep flavor profile without any harshness or bitterness. Not sure if it is the beans or the wood fire or a combination of both, but it puts to shame any "chain" coffee house brews. Now for the Moon Milk. They don't divulge what is in it, but it has hints of a tres leches sweet cream taste. While I am not one who wants sweet in my coffee , this was a nice change of pace. They offer the Moon Milk in four recommended combinations that have varying levels of the Moon Milk, espresso, and skim milk. We both tried a 1/4 Moon. My wife had a medium half caff version that has two shots in it. I went 20 ounce which is four shots. Mine had a great kick underneath the Moon Milk. My wife really enjoyed her half caff rendition. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the coffee is terrific. I understand there are other locations so you will probably be able to find one nearby. Definitely a "try it" coffee spot. read more

I've never had an issue with an order, and always find a spot to sit. Everything here is consistent. It's noisy, but outside seating is usually quiet. I've tried a few foods and the chai. The coffee here is absolutely delicious--my favorite is the Mochamoon. I'm not sure what's in it, but wow, it's amazing! The atmosphere is peaceful (perhaps even more so for me since I'm deaf), and the servers are all incredibly kind, with the warmest smiles. A special shoutout to Anna, Caleb, Eli, and Rebekah for always making the experience extra welcoming by bring me my coffee because I can't hear anyone calling out names. The shop features plenty of real wooden tables, perfect for 1-2 people, as well as a large wooden table that seats up to 8. There's also a cozy kids' corner and covered outdoor seating for when you want to enjoy your coffee outside. It's always beautifully decorated for the holidays, especially Christmas. If you have time, ask for a "for here" cup, find a seat, and stay a while--you won't regret it! read more

It's been a rough couple months for me at Summer Moon. I've ordered coffee on three occasions but only received my coffee once, let me explain. A couple weeks ago I ordered coffee for pick up using the app (UPDATE new app no longer charges $.50 service fee) on my way to work mid week. The confirmation of your order always tells you when your order will be ready for pickup and I arrive on time or within 5 min after. A few weeks go, I waited 25 minutes past my pickup time before I had to leave and make it to work on time. I thought it was fluke until this past week when the same thing happened and I waited 20 minutes before canceling. Now cancelling is easy, you just give the cashier your name but they also don't apologize for waisting your time and failing to meet the timelines their system provides to the customers. The third visit I had was in between the two pickups mentioned, I ordered inside on a weekend, and had no issues so the problems must be on the online ordering side which is unfortunate for us commuters that don't have be time to place an order and wait at the establishment but still want a good cup of coffee. I know I'll be back, I like the coffee, but I'll frequent at a much lesser frequently given the time I've already wasted staring at blank pick up shelves. I do hope whatever the disconnect is gets fixed. read more

Very interesting! If you like sweet and creamy! This is your place to be ! Not strong in coffee though, I ended up adding more espresso in at home. It is pricy but your cup is mostly the moon milk (a creamy concoction they created similar to sweet cream foam). It is creamy thick and sweet. You can get different levels of the moon milk. I went with 3/4 moon milk today. It was very milky and needed more coffee. Once I added more espresso, it was almost like a very rich and sweet Vietnamese iced coffee. You can also purchase moon milk for $6.50. I did just to try it out since I ran out of creamer at home. The consistency is like heavy whipping cream. So for my daily cup of coffee, 1-2 tbs will suffice for sweet coffee! Prob next time I'll buy moon milk alternative like the oat milk. Similar creamy consistency with that added nuttiness. read more

This is a hip, trendy little place If you are looking for a place to chat with friends or just take your laptop and work while having a nice cup of coffee, give it a shot. The staff isn't overly friendly, but it doesn't take away from the place. The decor is eclectic, music trendy but not too loud. Coffee was hot, fresh and delicious. The selection is not too big, mostly coffees, lattes and teas, but you should find something you like. First time here. I love summer moon coffee and food. The lower star rating is purely because of the quantity of trash coming out of the coffee shop. There was no option for regular glasses for our iced coffees or plates for the pastries we ordered. So even dining in, we threw away two containers from our food and 2 plastic cups from our drinks. I'm a dummy and waited wayyyy too long to try this top-notch coffee shop that's located 15 minutes from my home. I feel like this review will not add anything that anyone who's visited Summer Moon doesn't know. So, I write to the audience trying to decide if Summer Moon is worth a try. It is. Coffee shops require several things to be great in my book: 1) cozy design, 2) social atmosphere, 3) great coffee & service, 4) a sense of brand & originality to their menu, and 5) an underground vibe. Summer moon scores highly on all categories. Their moon milk is truly a selling point, with the instantly understandably "phases of the moon" menu for creating your drink. The baristas are helpful and friendly. And the dining room is nicely laid out with Covid-caution in mind without sacrificing the "I could study here for hours" sensibility. I've tried the Summer Moon (drink) and a nitro cold brew. Both were excellent. Killer swag is available. And, the three times I've visited, the crowd was never overwhelming. The esthetic at every location is on point and they have cute merch for sale too. They have tea options for the non coffee lovers and they have food to choose from if you are in need of a light breakfast or snack. Their moon milk is what they are known for and you can purchase it to take home as well. The coffee to me tastes a bit too smokey/a bit on the burnt side now that they add four shots of espresso in the standard 20oz latte. The moon milk cuts it or you could always ask for less espresso!
