Seven Mile Cafe is an outstanding breakfast and brunch spot in downtown Keller. My go-to dish is the Migas--they come with a generous portion of eggs and meat and are always packed with flavor. I'm also a big fan of their eggs benedicts, which are consistently excellent. If you order the hash browns, do yourself a favor and ask for them extra crispy. They come out incredibly crunchy--almost like savory candy--and they're fantastic. I'm personally not a huge fan of their coffee, but I know plenty of people who love it. The patio is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is always top-notch. If Seven Mile Cafe isn't already in your breakfast/brunch rotation, add it immediately. Seven Mile Cafe has a LOT of incredible sounding menu options- if this place was a breakfast buffet, it would probably be the most amazing breakfast restaurant ever! I so wanted to try a little bit of many different options. The restaurant was extremely crowded when I went (weekend for lunch), so we had to wait outside. It was pleasant weather for walking, though, which passed the time. We enjoyed friendly service once we were seated. I got something very basic- oatmeal with poached eggs, which I enjoyed. It was artfully prepared and everything was very fresh. Overall, my heart for brunch spots still goes out to First Watch which knocks the ball out of the park for me, but this was a fun place for lunch definitely worth visiting. It's on the pricier end for sure for brunch, but that's my main reason for the four stars. The interior was cozy. read more

I lived in the Keller community for about seven years, and I've always been hesitant to visit 7Miles Cafe. I dislike that I can't make changes to my meal. For instance, I can't add eggs to my sandwich or switch the tortillas in my breakfast tacos if I wanted two and one. There's always a problem, and it's sad that the staff and management can't explain the reasons behind these restrictions. Wow, who have thought you'd find a place like this in Texas? For anyone from Texas reading this, I don't mean offense! But I was shocked that they had such a large vegan selection. Even in SF, getting good vegan breakfast options is very difficult. Beyond that, I appreciated that it was a welcoming atmosphere for all types of groups. I came with my sister's family and they were very accommodating to the little ones. Price is too high and not customer oriented service, especially when as the customer you cannot customize your order. If you order tacos you cannot ask for flower and corn tortillas. It's either or. Or if I order the BLTA I cannot add eggs to the sandwich, they bring it on the side and one must add it. It is very noticeable that the employees hands are tied when it comes to customer service, imposed by a controlling ownership. This takes away from the family friendliness. Server was polite but lackluster. I measure breakfast by coffee refills offered. Total failure on this aspect. 3. Food came quickly but very disappointing. Benedict was already cold (eggs, hashbrowns). Waffle was not fully cooked and crisp - more like doughy bread that was compressed. Had to struggle to get to 2 stars. One might be enough. This is permanently scratched off our list of potential breakfast spots - too many others that have wonderful, enthusiastic, attentive service and food that is delicious, cooked and served properly, and worth the more than $50 this failed experiment cost. The ambiance is cute and homey inside with string lights up for the holidays. Service: Our server was very nice and attentive. I really wanted a latte & he recommended the maple & cinnamon latte (which was delicious) . Javier had regular coffee & said it wasn't that good. Again mine was. Javier was disappointed they didn't have omelettes but went with the TX plate (I think). The hash browns were so hot he burned his tongue, but was glad it was fresh & good. Great service, okay food, and horrible coffee. This is a well put together cafe and the staff is attentive but the food and especially the coffee were a huge letdown. The coffee was bitter so I informed my server and she took it off but not before she told sometimes it tastes like that. I always enjoy Seven Mile Cafe and have been several times to the locations in Lewisville, Highland Village, and Keller. I suggested meeting a friend and business colleague for a weekday breakfast at the Keller restaurant, knowing it would be pretty quiet (which it was) and we could linger at our table a while to talk shop after eating (which we did). I've gotten the Migas in the past, which I definitely recommend. This visit, I had the Pappas Rancheras and was very pleased with the flavor, presentation, and portion size. Very yummy. My friend ordered a scrambler with bacon and toast, and commented that her eggs were cooked perfectly. The coffee was great (and plentiful) and our server friendly and attentive. The menu is a smidge pricey, in my opinion (especially the cost of substitutions), but the food is always fresh and flavorful, and I appreciate the wide variety of both sweet and savory offerings. I had the Avocado Tacos (since I'm taking a short break from processed meat) and they were AMAZING! The amount of crisp on the hashbrowns in those tacos was mind-blowing. And the flavor of both the red and green salsas was wonderful. Judging by the lack of chatter, the boss loved his tacos too (he said the bacon in his was yummy!).
