We came here for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. They were not busy at all...it was just us. We stood at the front for a few minutes, and nobody acknowledged us. We could literally see people in the kitchen, and they could obviously see us, but no one came to greet us until we finally yelled, "Hello?" At that point, I was ready to leave, but someone eventually came out. She seated us and then left us there for a good 10 minutes before returning to ask if we were ready to order. This place always has such welcoming servers every time I come. I will always and forever order their Kale Tonic because of how refreshing it is. I also truly believe their french toast is in my top places to order french toast BUT I do ask for a few alterations such as adding pecans and powdered sugar which makes it simply devin in my own opinion. Lastly, the ambiance is very homey and down to earth and I do need to mention thai place is small and popular so just consider that when visiting that their may be a wait but I believe it's worth the wait. read more

My first time to First Watch - we had a large table of 8 people. Everyone ordered something different. I had an unsweetened iced tea that never saw a refill. Unfortunately it sat empty for half of our visit. She even brought me the check without a refill. But if you order water, they bring a carafe so you can continuously refill. Get the water. I also ordered the turkey BLT sandwich with a cup of Italian wedding soup. The bread was stale and just didn't taste right. I had to send the soup back because it was cold, and they brought it back slightly warm. I did not like this either. However, some of my family thought their breakfast tacos were delicious. One also had the hash special that she raved about. The family "likes" raised up and evened out my rating to a 2 star. The restaurant was clean. Good location. I think if you're going to visit, try their pancakes or a basic breakfast item first, then branch out. Maybe it was just a bad day when I went. read more

We decided to visit this First Watch as we'd never been here before. I'll say I have mixed feelings and wanted to rate a 3, but it wouldn't have matched my individual ratings for Food, Service, and Atmosphere. The food was tasty, well seasoned and came out fast. Unlike other places, they leave the coffee pot so you're not waiting for a refill. However, it did cramp a 2 person table a bit. I was disappointed by the orange juice as it tasted like an off brand Sunny Delight instead of real orange juice. The service was fast and attentive. We were seated right away at 9 am on a Saturday and were checked on multiple times. The atmosphere was quiet and there was enough space between people. However, I was disappointed by the cleanliness. I had to watch were I was sitting because my seat was covered with jelly (2 person booth closest to the kitchen). Paying was fast and easy. read more

Very disappointed in wait staff and in house management. The front hostess was very nice and sweet. Sat us at our table (which was in clear view of the kitchen). We watched as several wait staff walked by us but didn't ask if we needed anything or at least acknowledge that we were sitting there. Both in house managers walked right by us and didn't say anything. Mind you, we never got asked for any drinks so we just sat there with empty coffee cups. 1 staff looked at me and rolled his eyes as if he didn't want to help us (I was praying he wasn't our server) After 10 MINUTES.... me and my husband decided to leave. It was to have my husband talk to 1 of the house managers to complain of the lack of service we were provided. The house manager acted as if she really didn't care and was very nonchalant about the situation. I have been to several First Watch restaurants and even signed up and a rewards member. Large menu Clean venue Friendly staff Table is set with coffee mugs. A part of me appreciated it as I am a coffee drinker then the other part of me felt that could be a little wasteful as I was the only one at the table drinking coffee. So an unnecessary re-run through the dishwasher. They left the insulated coffee pot at the table which again I had mixed feelings about. I enjoyed the convenience of having right there if I wanted more but I only planned on having one glass so On the other side, it was was unnecessary. We loved they brought a carafe of water so we could refill our own glasses. There are so many delicious sounding items to choose from but we ended up with the trifecta breakfast plate and frittata rustica. Both were delicious! The syrup served warm is a nice touch. If I had one suggestion for improvement- the salad served with the frittata could have benefited from being tossed in the dressing a bit with a tad of salt for flavor. We look forward to going back to First Watch to eat our way through the menu. read more

Brunch is my favorite of the meal of the day! With that being said, my standards are pretty high when it comes to breakfast. First Watch has won me over again and again!!! Let's just say when I'm feeling plain and simple on a nice summer day, I go for their iced coffee. When the weather gets a little cooler, their regular black coffee just hits the spot. Out of all honesty, my all time favorite drink is the morning meditation; it's so colorful with a nice blend of orange, lemon, turmeric, and ginger aka all the immunity booster ingredients. I will tell you there's a different mood for every dish. If you're feeling classic, get the trifecta with the Belgian waffle. That waffle is so soft and fluffy. I love pairing this with bacon and 2 sunny side up eggs. For those with a voracious appetite. I would get the farmhouse skillet hash. You will not be disappointed as it has everything delicious - bacon and avocado. The potatoes are well-seasoned and the roasted tomatoes & onions are very tasty. If you're in a healthy and hungry mood, get their Florentine egg benedict. It has the veggies (fresh spinach), protein (poached eggs), and carbs. You are left very satisfied and not overly full. I can probably review their entire menu at this point. They also have a seasonal menu. With fall coming up, I remember when I had their delicious pumpkin spice donuts and elote Mexican street corn hash. I feel like everyone is familiar with first watch but if you're not it's a great spot for versatile, delicious and affordable breakfast and brunch they have healthy options and fresh juices and even a variety mixed alcoholic brunch drinks. We did have one small misshap in which we weren't expecting anything it was so small and the manager came over and offered us a coupon. I'm really a big fan of First Watch, I think their frittata rustica is absolutely delicious and when I eat it I actually feel like I'm eating something that's good for me.. the frittata itself has large, "rustic" pieces of veggies like kale, tomato, and mushrooms, and then it's served with a big pile of greens on the side in a lemony vinaigrette. The plate is beautiful, bright, and green -- it looks lovely and tastes even better. I also really like the ham and Gruyère omelette but prefer the frittata because it's really the perfect size for me. The omelettes aren't crazy huge like IHOP's (which are fluffed up with pancake batter, by the way), but they're still a little too big for my breakfast-appetite. read more

For a chain-- I really like first watch. This location specifically is my favorite in Fort Worth/Keller. It's not overly crowded during brunch hours like some other places. I do wish it had a better patio though. But the food is consistently good. It's a little on the pricey side-- but what isn't these days? I like the homey feel to all the first watches. I've been going to First Watch at Lakewood Hill since 2014. I typically come here once a week and get the same order everytime (with exception, of course). Overall, I've been to five different First Watch locations in the DFW area, and the staff at Lakewood Hill is by far THE BEST! Bambi, Julia, Davis, Kevin (now at the Glade location), Cynthia, Carla, Noah, and Logan are always friendly and helpful. In fact, shout out to those servers who have my order memorized so well that I don't even have to tell them what I want. They just ask if I want the usual. I say yes and voila! Moments later, my DELICIOUS chocolate chip pancake and egg whites are ready in no time. Plus, instead of bringing me coffee like they typically do for most of the tables, they know to bring me hot water, lemons, and a cup of ice. Yes, I know I'm specific - lol. The staff at Lakewood Hill also knows that I have a certain spot I like to sit at more than any other seat in the restaurant. Whenever it is available, server Bambi will tell me that my throne is ready - lol! Yes, the staff at Lakewood Hill is AWESOME! Finally, as a certified yoga instructor, I've had the chance to share my knowledge of yoga, posture and flexiblity with several of the Lakewood Hill staff. When Kevin was at this location, he and I would talk often about specific yoga postures, ball rolling for self massage, and mindful breathing exercises he could do to help ease is hip pain. Despite his discomfort, Kevin always would offer GREAT HOSPITALITY to everyone regardless of how he felt. It never seemed to thwart his ability to provide EXCELLENT SERVICE to all the patrons who entered Lakewood Hill locatipm. I LOVE First Watch at Lakewood Hill and everyone who works there. The wait wasn't that bad for a Sunday, and the food was delicious, our waitress was so wonderful and on top of things. Great experience.

I ordered the Roast Beef & Harvati sandwich, which had a good umami flavor that was really enjoyable. I also had the Toasted Basil soup that was a great addition to the sandwich. Overpriced and too try-hard. Million Dollar Bacon - too much maple, not enough pepper or cayenne. Not worth $5. I could make bacon at home and add some seasoning and do better than this. Trifecta - two eggs (asked for one extra, but the pile still seemed tiiiiny), Belgian waffle, and one single lonely link of sausage. Everything was mediocre and the quantity was definitely not worth $11.78 ($9.79+$1.99 for the extra egg). Total ripoff of a plate. It annoys both me and my husband to look back on how much this cost for what we got. No value. Chickichanga - I mostly loved this. The chicken breast wasn't dry (hooray!), the chorizo was spicy and earthy, I could distinguish the chiles, onions, and cheeses in the mix, and they were not chintzy with the avocado. But that vera cruz sauce... hollandaise mixed with pico de gallo? That is just. A big no. Nonono. Also, this needs to be served with a sharp knife. Trying to cut it with the butter knife means it just falls apart into a piled mess instead of being an actual wrap. It was a ridiculous effort trying to eat this in single bites of cohesive ingredients. Coffee was very good. And I loved that you could have water or coffee for free while you wait and also that they leave a carafe of water and pot of coffee on the table. Service was warm and attentive and the ambiance was okay. But overall this place is utterly pedestrian and trying to pretend that it isn't. Not at all worth the wait or the prices. I go out periodically to take a break from cooking... but this is one of those times I easily, easily could have made a better brunch at home. What a disappointment. read more

Great menu selection and several vegan and vegetarian items. I come here fairly often for the good food. The challenge is that it gets so busy during peak weekend hours that it's not as enjoyable a dining experience due to the wait and the noise level. I've learned to come early for the best breakfast experience. I usually order the omelets like Morning Market Veg without meat and they are delicious. My soup cup along with the other was filled half way and the toppings on the omelet were next to nothing. Went here for brunch on a Sunday and it was definitely bustling! I highly recommend joining the waitlist ahead of time so you don't have to wait as long when you get there, because there was definitely a long wait. Brunch on a Sunday is a busy busy time for them. I joined the waitlist for a group of 3 and wait time was estimated for 10-15 minutes, but by the time I got there.. I was already 2nd in line. I checked in with the host and we only waited a few minutes before we were seated. They have free coffee and fruit-infused water for those waiting. I have to admit that their roast is absolutely delicious. Our waiter was kind and helpful. He took our orders in no time and our food came out in a fair amount of time, for how busy it was. Everything tasted delicious! And the portions were more than filling. I definitely recommend the million dollar bacon, it only comes in 4 pieces, but they were delicious! The steak and egg hash was also another favorite! I definitely recommend this place and will most likely be coming back for brunch another time! read more

Don't normally eat breakfast out, but personally on a health kick and knew I'd get that here. Hubby loves a hearty breakfast and knew he'd get that here as well! We weren't disappointed. I ordered avocado toast and eggs. My eggs did come out very over cooked but that was quickly remedied. The toast was very good and hearty. Just the right amount of EVOO. Hubby ordered a breakfast platter. Eggs pancake with strawberries and whipped cream (they forgot whipped cream but he didn't mind) and bacon. I ordered him the millionaire bacon so I could eat one of his normal pieces. . He enjoyed that a lot. They do not have Splenda or sweet in low. Only stevia. Because of this we did not order coffee or tea. That was the only real bummer. They also only have the prepackaged half and half which I don't care for but that's a me thing and doesn't take away from the dining experience of others. They also put parsley on EVERYTHING which we HATE and will know next time to leave this off. It's just not necessary and has an over powering effect on something as gentle as eggs.
