OK... This place is phenomenal. We have eaten here probably a dozen times. While it may be a little pricier for breakfast food, it's worth every penny. I think I have tried most of the things on the menu. My favorite is the omelets with the small pancakes. The coffee is amazing and the ambience is charming. They have a bar, so our guest this last time had mimosas' with their breakfast plus the brewed coffees. It's a small place in a strip shopping center close to Sam Moon so it's not a place one just finds, but once you do, you will be going back. On a snobbish note: The plates and silverware are not something expected at a little diner, they are quality products expected from a fine diner. As a former restaurant owner, that added touch (and expense) really made a statement as to how important quality is to them. It 100% reflects in their restaurant as well as their food. Eggtastic was fantastic! A bright and cheerful spot for your breakfast and brunch, with a bar no less. The menu is full of options to get the day started or an afternoon delight. We enjoyed the Waffle Combo, Avocado Toast, and the Chicken Carnita Skillet with a couple of Salted Caramel Mocha Lattes. Everything was well prepared and served as ordered. The Lattes were a little sweeter than we're used to. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the vibe was festive. I came here with my friend and we were instantly welcomed in. Eggtastic Brunch Cafe has plenty of natural light and a cheery atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the wait time for our food was quick. I got the chicken carnita which had hash browns as the base. The entree also came with sides. I picked scrambled eggs which came with avocado and mini pancakes. I was surprised by the portion size, this could easily be two meals. The chicken carnita plate with scrambled eggs were delicious. I really enjoy Eggtastic Brunch Cafe. While it's not my wife's favorite spot--as she's had a few just-okay experiences--I personally think this place absolutely rocks. My go-to order is the chorizo benedict, which is honestly one of the most flavorful benedicts I've ever had. Once again a place that we live right around the corner from and never knew about. We had friends in town for the weekend so look for a good brunch spot on a Sunday. I was impressed that when we showed up at 9:45 on a Sunday morning, we were able to get a table in less than five minutes The service was really good. Our server checked on us quite often. The latte that I got was really good and moderately priced. I got the cowboy omelette and that's the reason for the one star drop. Being gluten free, I've tried the gf pancakes (fluffy and good consistency), the veggie skillet and chorizo eggs Benedict (hash browns on bottom instead of bread, but fyi they do have gf bread, I'm just not a bread lover). Fantastic spot for breakfast, brunch and coffee. Not only was the esthetic of the restaurant beautiful (down to the glassware & dishes & the bar) but most importantly the food was spot on amazing! And the coffee drinks were equally delicious too. Loved seeing that they have a giant coffee bean roaster. Me and my family of 12 were visiting from California and were so fortunate to have found this place truly. Each and every one of us was happy with our meals. No mistakes just great food. Our hostess did a fantastic job as well. I feel so bad that I forgot her name but she was a young hispanic woman with beautiful green eyes. Okay, food was ok and service was good . We asked the server what was good and she recommend THREE different steak dishes so we thought "wow, steak must be amazing here." Food was all in all ok. HOWEVER. Why do you market it as a steak "skillet" when it comes out in a bowl?? When you order a skillet meal, you expect it to come out in a sizzling (shocker) skillet. When ordering my husband even said "I'll do medium rare since it's coming out in a skillet" thinking it would continue to cook and end up medium. Steak came out rare and it came out as a bowl with a whole steak on top. He had to pull steak out and take everything off his bread plate to cut the steak and then put it in his bowl. We wanted to try out a new to us place for brunch and selected Eggtastic Brunch Cafe. Even before entering I was already pleased with easy access parking in a very large, shared parking area. It's trendy decor with sky high ceilings. Our group was all over the menu ordering omelettes, biscuits and gravy, salads, chicken tenders and gluten free selections. I ordered the 2x2x2 selecting eggs fried over hard, chicken apple sausage and crepes. Instead of icing and powdered sugar I subbed whipped cream. The server didn't mention it but there was a small 50 cents up charge. All of us enjoyed everything we tried. As a heads up Eggtastic does not take reservations on weekends and holidays. Also this is one of the places were the servers tip themselves 20% when there's 6 or more in the dining party. There was 7 of us. Our 2nd time eating here and we were just as happy as the first. We came a little later on a Saturday with a larger group (8) so we did have about a 45min wait but we expected that and were happy to wait. The guys went to the small bar to wait and the girls went and walked around some stores in the shopping strip. Service was great. Food was excellent. Everyone cleaned their plates. I tried lunch this time and got the Ranch Chicken melt. My Mom got the turkey bacon club. Fries were delicious. I want to try their okra soon and sooooo many other things on the menu. Their coffee is smooth and delicious. We purchased some beans on our way out to be able to enjoy it at home. I got a abuelita con cafe from cocktail menu and there was no question their was tequila in there. It was strong. I appreciate a strong drink. I did add some more coffee to it to meet my taste preference. Highly recommend this place if you want great food with good service. No reservations on the weekends. My brunch buddy and I love trying all the brunch spots the metroplex has to offer. Eggtastic checks off every must have- good coffee/cocktails, food variety, good service, and good ambiance and vibes. The decor is modern and trendy. I wish I had gotten more pics of the decor but I try not to make it seem like I'm taking pictures of everyone eating. There's great lighting and the space is nice and open. And if you are sat at a table with a booth and chairs, you are squished next to the neighboring tables. The service was good and the food came out in less than 10 mins. We both ordered a cup of coffee...outstanding. It's very bold and delicious and the table has all your coffee needs. I ordered the chicken fried steak, eggs over easy, hashbrowns, and a slice of sourdough toast. The chicken fried steak was great- crispy crunchy batter and the steak was just the right thickness and overed in a cream gravy. My only complaint is that the steak itself was very bland, a little more seasoning and it would have been a 10/10. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hashbrowns were crispy. The sourdough toast was thick and buttered but didn't really taste like sourdough. We will definitely be retuning to try some of the sweet offerings, they all looked so good! read more

Glad this brunch place isn't too far from my house. It's located in the same lot as Ashley furniture store, right across. Parking should not be an issue at all. We ended up getting an omelettes with grits and pancakes. The wife got eggs benedicts with hashbrowns. Both entrees were delicious and we actually had to ask for a to go box, since it was a lot of food. The service was really great. When ever the coffee was getting low, they came by to refill, and even asked if we wanted coffee to go. The place was really clean, and the interior décor was nice. Super bright and the place felt really inviting. They also have a separate bar area. Of course you can get the typical brunch drinks like bloody mary or the mimosas, but i'm sure if you ask they can make others drinks as well. read more
