Sweet corn & crab hushpuppies were really good. I even enjoyed with a dab of both the hot sauce and charred corn tartar sauces. The pimento cheese was also good. Not as amazing as I remembered it but the focaccia bread sure was! Eat it while it's warm! Little gem salad was okay but nothing to rave about. Wouldn't order again. (And I love a good salad!) The biscuits with butter, honey & homemade berry jam were delicious! Somewhat sweet and even perfect for dessert in my opinion! Eat them warm!! I got the redfish as entree. It was really cooked perfectly and really good. It was served on top carolina rice grits with local beans which were probably my favorite bites of this meal. I did not prefer the sweet corn chow chow that was drizzled atop the fish. Unnecessary, not my preference, but easy to push aside and continuing to enjoy the meal. The service was decent. Slow on filling our water. My pet peeve is having food, especially hot sauce (wish the hush puppies) on the table before the water. Parking is easy out front or in attached parking garage. Casual elegant decor. I still need to make it back for brunch some day.
All the food here is so good! I love that I can count of its reliability. No matter when I come and with whom ever, it's a hit. Our server was polite and the restaurant is always clean. Is it a little on the pricey end? Yes. Is it worth it? Also a big yes. It's so good we always take a set of the biscuits to go. Love me some Fixe Biscuits!
1st time at Fixe Southern House, the restaurant is too cute. I had a great server that knew a bunch about the menu. Babyyy those biscuits are as good as they look y'all. I do wish the fried chicken sandwich was bigger. I was hungry afterwards. I feel like the food needs little more seasoning to match the amazing presentation. Highly recommend the biscuits and cinnamon rolls.
You ever walk away from an establishment and think "meh" . . . Unfortunately this was it for me. The location of this establishment is surrounded by lots of great shopping, it's next door to a parking garage and the place itself has a nice inside as well as patio seating. So I walked in excited for what was to come. I met my friend for brunch as we took a seat on the patio, (apparently they are pet friendly as there was a dog at the table next to us and at one point it jumped up and started growling and barking at a passing dog), Veronica came over to take our order. I asked for water to start and then got the honey old fashion, my friend also ordered the biscuits to start off with. The drink (honey badger) was nice and STRONG (my friend did not like her drink) and the biscuits (3 to the order) were absolutely delicious (it came with honey, butter and strawberry jam), firm on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Seriously, I was thinking I was in for a treat based on how this started. We put our food order in (fried fish) and when it came to the table, I noticed there were no condiments besides what came on the plate so I was waiting for someone to come back and check on us. Now, they have the salt and pepper fries that came with the order as an appetizer, however there was NOTHING special about the fries. Found out they charge you for hot sauce cause they make it there (response we got was "thought you knew" when asked about the charge) and the fish to me tasted muddy. I found myself constantly looking up and around for the server as I needed more ice, more water, more napkins. I'm hoping that this experience isn't the norm but as I said, I would come back for them biscuits if nothing else.
Did the Woodford Reserve and Old Forester 5 course dinner at Fixe Southern House tonight. Every course was fantastic but some major standouts were the Deviled Egg, Shrimp and Grits and the Filet course. I don't drink alcohol so I was very happy they paired a mocktail with each course. Fabulous service tonight!
In 2021, I said... "best biscuits in town." I'm pretty sure that still holds as of now. The biscuits are fluffy, buttery and paired with the best spreads: salted whipped butter, golden natural honey and sweet seasonal jam. You always need to start with an order of these here. Heck, you could go and just get coffee or a cocktail with them. You'd be happy with your breakfast! We were last there with a group so we had an order of biscuits, pimento cheese and entrees. I tried their chicken biscuit sandwich. It had a fried chicken thigh, kale apple slaw and honey. It was delish! Surprisingly, I also really enjoyed the pimento cheese. I'm not a typical pc gal, but this one seemed to have more flavor and heat to it. Overall, we had a really lovely brunch! The entire party seemed happy with the food, service (shout out to Melody for all the water refills and being patient with us!), ambiance and (of course)... the biscuits!
I tried Fixe for a Saturday brunch. Simply put, the food and drinks are good. We tried the shrimp and grits, French toast, and fried chicken. I'd order each item again. The blueberry mimosa was good too! I wish they had some holiday themed menu items and cocktails. There were several reservation times available days before Saturday. It's family friendly and there's space for small private events. I haven't enjoyed many brunches in FW, so I'm happy I tried this place. I'll be back.
Great spot for a special occasion dinner. Biscuits are crispy in the outside but pillowy soft inside (and made to order, served with more butter than you'll ever need plus honey and jam) Deviled Eggs: not the creamy type I prefer but good. Pimento Cheese: oh yeah! Chop Salad: loaded with flavor. Grits: very tasty but I've had better. The Pork Chop: huge but tender and flavorful, the potatoes is comes with were ok. Blueberry Crumble: ok, fruit was out of season. Banana Fosters Crème Brûlée: creamy but left an after taste I did not enjoy. Honey Badger: strong just the way I like it. Service was immaculate.
Love the vibes here and the chairs definitely make you never want to leave. The biscuits are a little toooo salty for me but the inside was so fluffy and the jelly is really good. Mimosas that aren't pictured were fantastic! This fish wasn't the best and was kinda greasy but the potatoes were great. The server we had was great and didn't mind getting our questions answered but would go back for the drinks and biscuits.
We had brunch on a Saturday morning, and the restaurant was busy but not overwhelmed. The decor is comfortable and upscale, and the menu has a bit of variety with southern flair. We ordered a plate of biscuits for the table, and everyone was raving about them! The brioche French toast was good, but nothing particularly special. Our waitress was nice, but not very attentive as our drinks were empty and required waiving her down for refills. Overall a nice place for tasty southern food!
Had brunch on the patio today with a friend at Fixe. Our server was Veronica, she was kind but wished that she had checked on us a bit more. We both ordered the fish fry and shared Fixe biscuits. The biscuits were DELICIOUS!! I enjoyed the fish fry but my friend wasn't impressed. One star removed because I asked for hot sauce and was charged a $1 yet my friend wasn't. I brought it to Veronica's attention and she said that she assumed I knew since I had some already. I explained that the server who delivered our food never mentioned a cost associated with a condiment. It's the principle that I was charged yet never informed of the cost beforehand. I'd return but during happy hour to explore more options and bring my own hot sauce.
So I needed to do a review for a brunch spot ! My dear friends that I don't get to see much agreed to join me and oh my goodness was this a special treat ! I love the design of the restaurant we felt like we were in our own little world as the chairs are so comfy and the music was just loud enough , Oscar are waiter was wonderful and so attentive. The food was literally outstanding and I love the open kitchen design , I spoke to the manager ( Raleigh ) and she showed me the spaces that you can rent out for a event ! Y'all please put this on your list for your next special dinner .. dinner menu is a little different , we had the chicken sandwich , the amazing French toast , and the pimento cheese , I'm craving all of it and I think I want to come back this weekend and bring my family! Clearfork has some amazing restaurants but this is for sure a 10/10 ... I promise your taste buds will thank me and it is such a relaxing experience as well !!! MK Tell them MK send you :)

Very upscale area so the inside is upscale PRICE: ~$70 I think WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! **** Overall Rating: 9/10 - I was surprised by how fancy this place was (it is in the Clearfork shopping area which is known as a bougie shopping center so not super surprised). - The biscuits were so so good I wish that I took a picture of them but I recommend those for sure! The fried chicken and kale salad complemented each other so well I highly recommend as well. - The deviled eggs were good but they are just basic so you can skip those (unless if you were craving it). - The pimento cheese was very good too it was packed with flavor. Went for the biscuits, but our very wise waitress, Adriana, warned us that the biscuits were made with lard. Well that knocked out a bunch or breakfast options. She was so sweet and actually went to the kitchen and marked the menu pointing out lard-free menu choices. On the menu. Using black ink dots. Above and beyond. So we regrouped our breakfast plans and went mainly vegetarian. The Herbivore was absolutely delicious! Antebellum cheese grits topped with garlicky kale, romanesco and a soft boiled egg. We added a second egg. Split with my hubby. So good!! My sister-in-law had the brioche French toast. French toast topped with honey better, fresh berries and pecan granola. Served with maple syrup. Amazing! Added the duck fat breakfast potatoes. Who knew that the flavor would be so enhanced with the onions, peppers and duck fat. Get this side! Not a coffee drinker, but my hubby really enjoyed the coffee that is sourced from Cusco, Peru. Adriana made sure that the cups were always full and hot. The restaurant was very clean and the mood was welcoming and warm. Lighting and mixture of warm wood tones and accent leather created an upscale yet homey vibe. We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night. read more
I wasn't aware you could mix fine cuisine with southern comfort food, but Fixe has done just that. You must try the Fixe biscuits as they're one of a kind! I had the Lobster & Crawfish pot pie and it was fantastic! I do suggest you make reservations if you're planning to eat there as they were not taking walk-ins when we had dinner there. If you're enjoying dinner with others, have everyone check out the menu before going to make sure their cuisine is everyone's cup of tea. read more

I had initially tried the Fixe biscuits while on a shakeout run in Austin. Despite the biscuits being cold at that time, I knew I had to try this place in person. The biscuits at the restaurant are made to order so that they're fresh and warm for serving. The steam was still coming out when I cut the biscuit in half!! They offered honey, apple butter, and butter which perfectly complemented the biscuit. The food was delicious as well. I am pretty sad I discovered this restaurant pretty late. Would highly recommend :) read more

A good southern style comfort restaurant right next to the Fort Worth farmers market! Their brunch menu has a good variety of southern meals that will put you into a food coma! I got the fried chicken sandwich and i loved the kale slaw that was on it! The service was very nice they gave us a whole pitcher of iced tea! read more

First time eating at Fixe and it won't be the last! The patio is perfect, our server Veronica couldn't have been any better!! She is incredibly sweet, helped with menu recommendations and brought me the sweetest birthday surprise. Truly exceptional experience I cannot wait to come back read more

I've tried Fixe out a few times and every time the service is good, the drinks great, but the food tolerable. I like their unique drink selection not always the typical cocktails, but the boozy tea and coffee options. I just don't think the meals feel complete, I feel like maybe we should order multiple items and share almost family style, but I digress. The location itself is nice; feels cozy more so on busy days, dimly lit with comfortable seating. Location is prime so I may swoop through for drinks at the bar if I'm in the area and the mood strikes. read more

We made reservations and were quickly seated on time. Our server was super friendly and made great recommendations. We went for a girls night out and really enjoyed it. We got the biscuits, which are some of the best biscuits I've ever had, especially with the preserves. We also got the bacon crab dip and it was very tasty. I got the pork chop and it was huge!! I've eaten left overs twice and it was amazing each time. I wasn't crazy about my watermelon drink, it was sour and not super flavorful. Other gals got the Summer Is Coming cocktail, one as a mocktail, and both loved it. Overall we had a great nice out in a cute atmosphere with amazing food. read more

Me and wife came to Fixe to celebrate our anniversary and they did not disappoint. Due to the special occasion we were give a complimentary glass of champagne as we sat down and that was the start of great service. It was Friday night but it wasn't a big crowd. The ambiance gives off a warm comfortable feeling. That also may be due to the open kitchen which I personally love. When you go there you must ordered the biscuits. They are warm, moist and everything you think of when it comes to a biscuit. Not to mention they have a jam and fresh honey to top them with. Chef kiss amazing my favorite thing there by far. While eating biscuits we ordered our drinks which were amazing as well. I ordered a play on an old fashioned style drink and my wife got something with cucumber both were really good. Our entrees were both fish I got mine with grits that was cooked perfectly as well as a seasoned and flaky fish. I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts as well to share as a side. They are well seasoned crispy and very flavorful. We ended our meal with crème brûlée that made me wish I could eat it forever. 5/5 highly recommended between the service food and prices I think it's a great date night spot. read more

The ambiance was soothing and upscale. The shrimp and grits were good with a side order of bacon. Now, the bacon topped off my brunch craving. The shrimp needed its own cajun gravy since it is a southern cuisine and mostly credited to the bayou area. Just grilled shrimp didn't really give off the ',viola' affect. The server, I think Trent, was excellent. I hate I didn't remember his name. He was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I just know he drove from Bedford (shame on me for not remembering his name). Anyway, he was great! All of the servers seemed to love what they were doing. They each cruised with a smile on their face. I will probably try dinner next time. read more

Went today to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was our first time to visit. Our server, Sophia, was kind and attentive. The food was spectacular. We started with the appetizer of biscuits, both kids had friend chicken, my husband had the filet with shrimp and I had the salmon. Nothing was left on the plates! It was a Sunday night so not overly crowded or busy and the atmosphere was warm and cozy but still elevated. We absolutely plan to return. read more
