    Eggs, Onions & Lox

Carshon's Deli has been family-owned for nearly 100 years and is one of Fort Worth's oldest restaurants. The moment you walk in, you can feel that history. It's an older, well-worn place without trendy décor or manufactured ambience--and honestly, I felt right at home. It was a quiet Saturday morning with only about four tables occupied. The staff was busy preparing for the lunch crowd, while the customers who were there clearly seemed to be regulars. I ordered the eggs and onions with lox, and it was absolutely delicious. I'll be back for a sandwich sometime soon. I understand why people keep returning. Sometimes you simply want a quiet, comfortable place where nobody bothers you and you can enjoy a genuinely good breakfast. Carshon's has been providing exactly that for almost a century.

This is definitely a local spot. I came to Carshon's for a quick lunch after receiving a glowing recommendation from a friend. I was seated and ordered a Reuben since it's one of my favorite sandwiches. The waitress asked if I wanted corned beef, pastrami. or half-n-half. I chose half-n-half because I wanted to try both. I will probably choose the corned beef next time as I thought it tasted better than the pastrami. I have nothing bad to say about the sandwich. It was pretty good. Exactly like how I expected a Reuben to be. I would definitely order it again. The service was good. I was informed that Carshon's was a cash only restaurant so I brought cash. It turns out they apparently take cards now but with an extra processing fee.

this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I was craving pastrami... and wondering how this place would live up to Langers in LA or Katz in NYC. i've had this place bookmarked for a long time. Every time i try to come here, its either closed (sundays) or sometime comes up and i can't make it down to Fort Worth. When we stopped in, the exterior and interior looks very dated. Also... it was an interesting observation, but everyone eating here when i went were old. I felt like the average age of the room was like +60. Not saying its bad, but just something interesting i noticed. For food, we got a rebecca and ruben. Both great, but i think rebecca was better out of the two. The cream cheese on the rebecca really works with the pastrami. Honestly, for 13 bucks, this is a pretty decent deal. bathrooms are very small, but clean. One thing that scared me, was that i thought this place was cash only. I was looking through my wallet midway through lunch and was afraid i didn't have enough.... Luckily they take credit cards.

Carshon's is a Jewish deli in the Near Southside neighborhood. The food is good, basic deli fare. The service is ok, kinda slow (30 minute ticket times). The dining room is basic, with the AC leaving us wanting more. Overall, not bad but not great, just decent. Will I be back? Yeah probably so.

Love finding time to go to Carshon's when I'm off and they are open. Hard to find really good pastrami here in Fort Worth and they've got one of the good ones. I tried the Rebecca today and that will feed me for 3 meals. It was huge! Also love their Matzo ball soup. Friendly staff in casual dinner/deli setting. Definitely worth a visit.

I started working near here and was excited to finally stop in after hearing how good it was. It lives up to the hype! We have been here twice in less than a week and I'm sure we will be regulars from here on out. First off, the sandwiches are top notch! Their meat is top quality, bread is fresh made, and their Cole slaw makes me want to choose every sandwich that features it. Even the slivers of purple onions are better than other delis. The employees are so friendly and they definitely make you feel at home. If you are in the area, you have to stop in. They close at 3pm, so don't wait too late.

Sandwich was just okay. Odd that the toppings all come on the side. It was easily a 45 minute wait for a sandwich, but it was st patricks day and they were busy! They also ran out of several of the desserts :( but the ones we got were tasty! This feels like a very iconic Fort Worth joint that is worth a visit, but left something to be desired on the quality

We stopped in for a to go order. My husband ordered the turkey and peppered beef on wheat with pepper jack, and I ordered the chicken with provolone on pumpernickel. When we got home, we realized they had swapped the breads on our sandwiches and put pepper jack on both. After switching the bread myself, I had to add my own tomato and onion because apparently no toppings are included or if they are they forgot to put them in the bag. The pumpernickel was also incredibly thin and the crust was thicker than the actual slice of bread. The chicken was stringy, had a strange texture, and honestly tasted like something you'd get in a hospital cafeteria. We also ordered the potato salad, which had one of the oddest flavors we've ever tasted, and the cucumber salad was anything but fresh. 2 bites of each and threw in the trash. The cucumber slices were wilted, soft, and tasted like they had been sitting for days. The only thing we actually enjoyed was the lemon bar. I honestly could have saved my money and made a much better sandwich at home. I don't understand the hype, and unfortunately, we won't be back.

Another great lunch from Carshon's. Best corned beef in town and the lemon squares make an excellent dessert.

Fast service and delicious filling sandwich! I dropped by after hearing terrific things from Reddit about this "New York Level" deli. Glad to say I was not disappointed. I ordered a 1/2 size pastrami sandwich on rye, with a side of coleslaw. The sandwich was very filling with plenty of meat. The pastrami was flavorful and tender, and the perfect amount of seasoned. The coleslaw was a nice compliment, as it was lighter and vegetables. Glad to have made this stop while in Fort Worth!

Carshon's is a Fort Worth staple and I'm glad I've finally tried it. Excellent sandwich shop and deli with staff that treat you like family and sandwiches made with love. I enjoyed the delicious Ruthie with roast beef. I loved how thin the meat is, but sandwich is loaded. The thin slices help the flavors all work together. PS- try the house stone mustard- yum!!

I found Carshon's on the Internet. I went by there and had their lox and cream cheese bagel plate. The food was good. It really took me back. I'm gonna come back and try their pastrami sandwich next.

Wow! One of the best Pastrami sandwhich I've had in a while. I got a half sandwich with chips and drink for $13.50. Service was efficient and nothing to complain about. They have sauces on the tables to dress your order however you like you it. Definitely worth coming back to in the future for a good pastrami sandwhich.

Totally underwhelming. Rueben was meh. Service was nonexistent. Plenty of staff. 2pm on a weekday. No excuse. Will not return.

I've heard nothing but good things about this place and their food but I have yet to check it out until I saw their entry for Burger Week With A caramelized onion jam and melted Brie which sounded delicious and I'm happy to report it was! It was a very flavorful and delicious Burger, the caramelized onion Jam was awesome and a great combination with the melted Brie on the brioche bun unfortunately I was only able to try three burgers this year mostly because a few of the locations are closed on Sunday which is crazy but this burger definitely is the winner of the three that I tried. That would certainly recommend the meat board to anyone looking for a quality Burger and some very high quality meat sold at the counter.
