Speakeasy and Grocery in the heart of Fort Worth's Cultural District with indoor/outdoor seating, and to-go options offering catering for birthdays and larger corporate events. A toasted panini with turkey and sweet chutney was just right on a sunshiney day. Looking forward to a big slice of Lemon Meringue pie on the return trip!

I have seen this place several times. I think I might have gone in before but I can remember. I had an hour to kill waiting on car repairs and was hungry for lunch. The options are limited but the sounded good. I decided to have the Turkey Brie $17.00 Boars Head turkey, french brie, dijon, apricot preserve, with house dressed arugula on Empire Bakery sourdough. The price was a little high for a sandwich and a small amount of chips (in my opinion). Plus add in a drink. I spent close to $25. The sandwich was really good. Great flavor combination. Service was great. Quick. I will return to try some of their delicious looking cakes. It seems a lot of the foot traffic is from the apartment complex across the street. Good place. Will I make it a weekly stop? No, but a good spot for something different.

Cute little spot serving panini's, soups homemade baked goods and probably more I didn't notice. When entering just walk to counter to place order. I had the Cuban and the wife had the Italian sausage kale sweet potato soup which she was still raving about 20 minutes later a savory blend that went well together she ask for some crackers to go with, and was given homemade croutons that's a winner. My Cuban was good a touch sweeter than expected. We finished it off with a couple of cookies. That old time Southside charm is all over this bodega and area.

This is a unique little spot to grab a snack! The employee taking my order was so sweet and patient. I ordered the poppy seed bagel with salmon schmear and tomato as well as a black coffee. The 817 (like our area code) Roasted Coffee was delicious! It is a local brewery. I savored my cup of Joe to see what hints of flavor I picked up, I got a slight taste of cocoa in there. It wasn't a burnt taste at all, smooth yet bold. I would call it a medium bold blend and you can pick up the beans from the front entry window. The bagel with salmon smear was good, almost like a fish salad. I asked if it was made with cream cheese or Mayo, she said cream cheese. She toasted my bagel which gave it a nice crunch. I also ordered salted chocolate chip cookies, those were SCRUMPTIOUS! Additionally, they had snicker doodle cookies and cranberry muffins. I noticed she was about to pop some more cookies in the oven, yum! I spoke with the owner who said she buys from the bagel company called Everything Bagels because she is from Wisconsin and that's just her favorite brand. Very interesting! I add that in case anyone wondered if the bagels were made fresh on site. I deducted a star because parking is kind of a hassle. I thought by going first thing there would be spots close to the door but I was wrong. It's okay, I was prepared in case I had to walk a few blocks. However, if you drive down W. Broadway Avenue you will find more parking spaces. Good thing! There are grocery items and refrigerated drinks to be bought. Also, there is a print station if you need. Just email your documents OR you can start a print order online. Both websites are listed on my attached picture. Definitely convenient! It was a beautiful day to walk around downtown and I recommend stopping in!

First of all, the location is a great place for a quant getaway. Upon walking in my expectation immediately went up another level. The music was so chilled. If you are in a rush and walk in here your body and mind will go into relax mode. The shop caught me off guard and surprised me. From the outside you could not see the magic with in. There was everything (of course in moderation). Wine, veggies, chips, coffee, etc.. The owner was such a friendly beautiful spirited person. She was so easy to talk to. Well, when I received my smoked Salmon with Schmear it was amazing. She recommended the poppy seed bagel - it was spot on. The tomatoes were perfect. I may have never had a tomato thats flavor ever tickled my taste buds as this. This is my new hideaway.

Adorable beautiful bodega with all the essentials- super friendly staff. Lots of smiles and very accommodating. Super sweet. Food-We had the salmon bagel, tomato basil soup and the Turkey and Brie panini. They were so nice and very pleasant. Parking was a little tricky, but we found a spot across the street. The salmon bagel was toasted to perfection- the smear was good. The tomatoes were a little soggy. We added a little salt and pepper. The Turkey and Brie panini came with chips and a pickle. Very interestingly delicious flavors. Toasted, tangy and sweet. The tomato basil soup was very soup soothing- and robust- great consistency and just the right add-ins. Something cool- they had a printer for the community to use. I was very intrigued . One thing that would be awesome- maybe have a station for extra napkins, salt and pepper packets and utensils. They also had refrigerated items for sale- breakfast burritos, parfaits, essential items- Great place- clean bathrooms too! Thank you, Yelp for a great opportunity!

Umm.. Yes!! Bodega South Main is where it's at, it's an all stop shop. Literally bodega style & I love it. While waiting on my salmon bagel I browsed the shelves. Quick grab household items (think dishwashing soap, paper towels, etc) to snacks and dinner (chips, dips, frozen Indian meals, Boars Head meat and cheeses, pasta & different sauces) So much more... See pics for the variety! The salmon bagel was delicious. I also ordered a piece of quiche, which I'm saving for breakfast in the morning. ***updating.. that quiche was amazing!*** Locally brewed from 817 also very good! Staff were incredibly welcoming & sweet. What a treat! I will be back. Couple takeaways.... *Free 2 hour street parking. * Outdoor tables * Shop while you wait on your food (wine, tea, food, more) *Take a book, order a coffee & a bite to eat. Relax. *The music isn't too loud, it's perfectly "just there" in the background

This place is just super cute. Bright my niece and we had a lovely time. It's 75° outside and my niece wanted hot chocolate so I followed suit and had coffee. The coffee is good quality. My niece had the apple cinnamon muffin (delicious and pretty big) and a banana and I had the sesame bagel with smoked salmon schmear. Holy smokes, bud. That was sooooo good. It comes with tomatoes and capers but I asked for no capers. This schmear was freaking legit. It's not fishy, it's delicate, and don't be like me and eat it like an ogre and you won't get it all over your hands. =D I don't live close to here but I would definitely come back to try their paninis if their muffins and bagels are this good. Great experience. Actually taking a turkey and brie panini to go. Excited about lunch already.

I had a great sandwich and cupcake from Bodega. The staff there is very friendly and the restaurant itself is very clean. They do offer some seating, but I imagine when they're busy it may be hard to eat inside. I had their Cuban sandwich, which was really good. The next day, I tried their quiche for breakfast which was really good as well. Can't wait to go back and try more goodies.

This is a lovely little spot, and pretty unique for Fort Worth. You don't come by boutique bodegas around here often. I really enjoy the casual, minimalistic atmosphere. This is a simple little grocery store and deli with sandwiches, paninis, salads, soups, baked goods. Local coffee and cold pressed juice. Kombucha. The grocery is small and has essentials, plus speciality items like alternative flours and milks, etc. Find some interesting wines and beer. I purchased a cab franc I really loved for $20! Bodega South also puts together some speciality items like custom charcuterie boards and a "Texas Themed" gift bags filled with local goodies... Browse a bit for present ideas!

This place is awesome! They have great options at the deli, my favorites being the pulled pork panini and their Cuban sandwich. You can order in store, place an order online through their website, or call it in. They make it easy to get what you need in which ever method you prefer. The staff has always been very kind and welcoming and I recommend it to anyone wanting to grab a nice lunch or if you're needing a quick pick-me-up from the section that's not the deli. If you haven't been then what the heck are ya waiting for?

Best quiche I've ever had! I ate one and ordered one to go before leaving! They have season soups and grab and go as well.

An amazingly cute spot on south main! The front of the shop acts as a mini grocery for those living nearby on south main. A bonus is that this is a short maybe 5 minutes walk from T&P station if you are wanting to take the Texrail. That has a few basic necessities like some Morgan's cleaning products and a few frozen goods. Service was top notch during our visit. They went above and beyond taking care of me during my visit. Check out those cookies they have! The coffee was delicious; for sure much better than Starbucks. For the salmon bagel I requested capers and tomato on the side so that the person I was with would try it. More tomatoes and capers for me! The bagel is honestly the stand out part for me. The salmon spread is more of the cream base tasting than the fish. (Possibly something Mayo or cream cheese blend?) I'm sure there's a lot of folks that like it that way, just not necessarily my speed! Overall an awesome place to check out for a coffee and quick snack.

The oldest sub shop in Texas is not a title you stumble into, and one visit makes it clear they've earned it. First, the parking situation, because someone has to say it. The spots up front are scarce and competitive. Don't give up, there's additional parking in the back with its own entrance. File that away before you go, or you'll spend ten minutes circling a strip that has not gotten larger since the 1970s. And speaking of the 1970s, the interior leans fully into its vintage identity. Small, dark, and unapologetically retro, it feels like a sub shop that missed the memo on modern restaurant design and decided it didn't care. Honestly, respect. Now, the subs. Galligaskin's cuts their own meat and cheese in house and bakes their rolls fresh daily, which is the kind of thing that sounds like marketing until you take a bite and realize it actually matters. The roast beef and cheese, loaded with toppings, is a proper sandwich. The house-made Galli Oil and pickled pepper finish that goes on every sub is the secret weapon - not spicy, just deeply flavorful, the thing that makes each bite a little better than the last. We also tried the burger, which came as a genuine surprise. A sub shop doing a burger well feels like it shouldn't work, but here we are, soft bun, flavorful patty, no notes. For sides, the Tater Tots are the undisputed champion of the table. Crispy shell, fluffy interior, the ideal tot. The fried okra was a strong runner-up, well breaded and served with ranch. The French fries, however, were a swing and a miss. They looked the part, golden, fresh cut, promising - and then arrived soggy. A limp fry is a tragedy in any zip code, and these were no exception. No one wants a sad potato. Order the tots. Skip the fries. You've been warned. Galligaskin's in the real deal, a Fort Worth original that's still earning its reputation one fresh-baked roll at a time. One last night: they're closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly. A cruel fact to discover in the parking lot.
