My friends know how much I love Trader Joe's and going to a new Trader Joe's is a treat for me. This was my first time at this location. I was able to get everything I needed for my trip. Thanks to Santa at checkout who made everything come together at the end of shopping. She was such a big help helping me to find everything I wanted. I bought some lotion that's new to me. It's is moisturizing feels smooth, not sticky, on my skin. Definitely a good find. Even though you go in with a list, you always leave with a little extra. I really enjoyed the grass-fed New York strip steak and the organic chicken tenders. The quality of the meat was really good. Its worth the price. read more

I was told it's best to arrive when they open. When I did there was already a line of customers waiting at the door. Staff restocked food and organized items quickly. Checking out was a fast and easy process. Giving 4 stars due to the limited parking and design of the store. Most locations I've been to have the same setup and design. This was my first time at this location of Trader Joe's. The one thing I could see being frustrating here is the parking. The lot was full when I got here (thankful someone pulled out just a minute after I arrived) and the lot was full as I left with a few cars trying to find spots. Other than that everything was great from the selection inside, to the staff friendliness, and the place was pretty clean for how busy it was. My favorite part was the samples they were giving out and because they were delicious I ended up buying the products I tasted (specialty cheese and guava jam, yum). I'll definitely be back but looking for a day that's not quite so packed. read more

Ok look, we love us some TJs! And I really like that I have one fairly nearby since I live as far southwest you can before it's no longer FW. The staff is friendly and in abundance, but the parking lot is another story. I don't know how long its been there, but it has outgrown the space. That is really the only downside to this location. I love Trader Joe's, but this is my least favorite location simply because of how awful the parking lot is. On several occasions, I've been stuck in a gridlock for over 15 minutes because the parking lot is so poorly designed. Other than parking, this is a standard TJ's with a great selection and friendly staff. There are always a lot of cashiers, so you don't have to wait long. The store is also very clean and airy so shopping is pleasant. The food selection is great. I particularly love the produce and frozen foods here. It is just unfortunate that the parking is so unaccessible or else I'd come here for my weekly shop! read more

That parking lot is pocket size. I always make my husband come with me in case there's no parking he can drive around while I shop. It's usually pretty chaotic in TJ's but so worth it. I always find one of a kind items I would never find anywhere else. I also love having the opportunity to experience other cultures cuisine. Where ever I travel I look for a TJ's. Lucky for me I was staying with a friend at The Club apartments so I walked here most days. The parking lot is small and tight. Pretty typical for most TJ locations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Actually got dinner one night by buying the pre made frozen and refrigerated meals and a salad. The selection of food helps to keep me and my hubby eating Mediterranean style! Quality fruits and veggies, for sure. I love the way the store is set up. The people there are always ready to help you find things you need. The cashiers are phenomenal people. One time I was watching a male cashier smiling and talking to an elderly customer and I was getting a little antsy and thinking that he was taking too long. And then I realized that this may be one of the few contacts she gets each week and she was smiling brightly when she left the store. So sweet. I'm helping shop for my elderly father and more than once I have had sweet conversations with cashiers- even hugs from some. Yesterday during my visit to Trader Joe's for my dad's groceries, the cashier and I formed an instant bond by sharing stories about our parents. After the cashier totaled up my order, she asked me to wait a second. She ran over to the flowers and brought back a dozen roses for me. I thanked her, gave her a hug, and then left the store crying all the way to the car. Anyone who has taken care of an elderly parent can relate to what I was feeling. The emotional connection I felt with the cashier is a testament to the power of human connection. I don't know how they do it but other businesses need to learn how to make their customers feel connected to them. read more

Great store and culture! I'm a fan of their salads, yogurt, raw orange juice, and mochi, especially. The inventory is wholesome and creative, and I get the impression that management treats labor well, as the employees seem genuinely content. The only real downside is the parking lot, which borders on hazardous. For this reason, I only go around 8 am when the store is freshly opened and less busy; if my schedule does not permit this I generally do not go. My sole frustration with Trader Joe's is this issue of accessibility. Overall, I love it to pieces. read more

Always a wild time shopping here. TJ literally brightens up my mood because of how adorable the store is, plus there are gorgeous arrays of succulents and lovely plants all year round. The parking lot is a tad small for the weekend crowd, but it's manageable. Of course, this TJ is very clean and organized, like the other stores. The goods here are always good. There are a few items I will always go for each time I run out: Dr. Bronners Pure Castille peppermint hemp cleaner, garlic naan, succulents of all kinds, vitamin E oil, marinara or any pasta sauces, pasta noodz, Thai Panang curry, dried chili mango, and that amazing tartar sauce (any specialty sauces are honestly pretty tasty, I recommend trying the Green Dragon hot sauce). I'm always down to try new things here since I trust that they usually sell good quality digs. Just make sure to check the expiration dates, since most items don't have a long shelf-life because guess what? Predominantly natural perishable goods decompose quicker than your local mass consumer superstore over-processed crap. But no shame, you do what you can. :^) Some of the items are priced way too high for what they are (salads, ice cream, mochi, hand soaps, sweets) but if you really dig them, I think it's worth it. Everytime I come to Trader Joe's it is such an amazing treat! The selection and the prices of their items are just outstanding. This Trader Joe's was no exception to that with the staff being so friendly. I was literally greeted by every employee I walked by. I had just gotten off of work and was tired, so it made me feel so good to feel appreciated! I told myself that I wasn't going to buy much, so I just grabbed a flower for my mom, a single can of beer, and some popcorn. I did check out the samples and the woman handing them out was so nice. I told her that I probably wouldn't buy the tacos she was serving and her reply with a big smile was "well at least you will know what they will taste like for the future!" She so brightened my day! Parking can be tight during peak hours, but other than that this location has a decent selection of items and they always have what I need in stock. Their frozen section is like no other. When I want alternates to my home cooked meals, they always have a wide variety of frozen meals to choose from. Some of my favorite items in their stores include their hash browns, vegetable fried rice, plantain chips, kombucha, chile spiced mango, their selection of fresh vegetables and fruits, and their flowers and plants. Trader Joe's is great, but honestly who doesn't know that? You can feel the difference in mood when you walk into a trader Joe's versus any other grocery store. People are nice and really happy to be there, whether they are shoppers or workers. The cashiers are expert baggers and will chat with you about your day. They are genuine. Some food items I love here are the French green beans $1.69 for 1 lb 8 oz bag, which is a great deal; chicken potstickers; weetabix cereal; sweet plantain chips; cowboy caviar; gingerbread men cookies; 5 seed almond bars; frozen roasted corn kernals; soy sauce; everything but the bagel seasoning. I love to read their flyer to see the seasonal products. They also have great flowers bunches and succulents. Take some time to wander and try their samples. There is always something yummy and if you don't like it, they have a great return policy. One item I don't care for is the soy protein powder because it's gritty. They took it back with no problem! read more

Meh, OK. I must confess to being a bit jaded. My father lived in California in the early 80s. I have a distinct memory of Trader Joe's. Foremost was barrels of bulk items. Mysterious items. Things I had not seen before and could not resist buying (or at least trying). I don't recall it being brightly lit. I also recall it being a bit claustrophobic. The first Trader Joe's in Texas has/is none of these things. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice store, but I honestly don't get what all the fuss is over. The prices don't seem to be all that special, and other than the multitude of TJ's branded items (healthy as they may be), it just wasn't that unique. Were this store around the corner from me, I might stop in from time to time out of curiosity (and to check out the tasting station), but I doubt I would make a special trip. That's not to say you shouldn't, but the hype did not live up to my expectations, or memories. PS. Parking lot is being nicely controlled by the Fort Worth Police Department. Be warned though if you don't get a spot in the lot, or on the street, DON'T park in the lots of the neighboring businesses. All have posted "No Trader Joe's Parking" signs, and warn that cars will be towed. PPS. I will add one other thing to this review. My wife grabbed 2 containers of concord grape juice that were marked $2.99 on the shelf (see photo). When we got to the register, they rang up as $4.99. We did get a refund, after queuing at another line, but do keep an eye on the cash register as your items are rung up. Oh, and TJ's solution to the problem was to take the $2.99 price off the shelf, but we did get an apology for the inconvenience. This incident did not affect my rating. PPPS. So I did some reading... Do you know Trader Joe's is owned by the same group that owns ALDI? And the interesting part is it's been that way since 1979. read more

I love Trader Joes. They have the best Gluten Free bread and bagels. I was also super excited to find Gluten Free Stuffing! I haven't had stuffing in 7 years. I am so excited. Every TJ, I've ever walked into has friendly staff. I always end up chatting with a TJ employee. This time I had a delightful conversation about coffee with a fellow caffeine-a-holic working at one of the registers. The wine department alone at TJ's is a good enough reason to visit. The Charles Shaw "2 Buck Chuck" ($3 in TX) wines are award winning palate pleasing wines. They also have other equally fabulous and reasonably priced wines and beers. It's a great place to purchase wine and beer for events. TJ has all of the departments you'd find at any grocery store, but they also offer some lovely specialty items or limited time items. Most items are very reasonably priced. I buy a lot of staples like organic oatmeal, bagged pre-washed organic salads, coconut oil, tea tree shampoo & conditioner, coffee, etc here. When I hit their frozen food area, I'm a kid in a candy store.....,oh yeah, TJ has some awesome specialty candies here as well. (LOL) There are so many awesome prepared frozen meals, etc. Sometimes I spend 15-20 minutes just browsing that frozen item section. I shall always be a TJ shopper. The parking lot is tiny, but you can legally park along the side street. read more

Trader Joe's, where were you when I lived across the street back in my college days? Even though I don't live in the neighborhood anymore, I still drop by this TJ's location whenever I am on this side of Fort Worth. The stock is typically pretty good of my most requested items (mango yogurt, almond thins, and wine). If they are out of an item, employees are willing to check the back for you and report back on the status. I've not encountered a rude employee at this location, they are all extremely friendly. What more could you want in a neighborhood grocery store? Tons of fresh produce, healthy options, and the prices are pretty reasonable. read more

Cheap food, good food, great prices, very attentive staff. Way better than the prices at Whole Foods or Central Market. It was wonderful. Loved how easy it was to find things and they don't send you through a maze with only one entrance and one exit like Central Market does. I got organic pineapple juice for $3, organic quesadillas, organic chile rellano, many dairy items for super cheap prices. Also, everywhere you turn there are samples of different foods and very well informed staff to tell you about the foods. The best thing has got to be the free coffee. Definitely the free coffee. And the liquid creamer rather than powder creamer that they have pre-set up. Go here before you check out Central Market and Whole Foods, or even Sprouts.
