Service lines are a little long now that more folks are shopping for discounts. Need more and faster checkout lines. Store appearance and parking lot looks fine and consistent. Severely understaffed in the night time hours, only one lane open after 10pm and a 30 minute line. Carts are always scattered throughout the parking lot, and they're obviously too understaffed to have a cart corralling person. The people who come to this location at night don't know basic kindergarten manners and the employees here are more than happy to support and let people get away with cutting ahead in front of the 30+ people long line. They seem not care about safety and allow for grown men to throw temper tantrums and threaten fights in the parking lot. The locations in Arlington and Alliance are much safer and the people in those areas don't act like what I've seen go on here. I do not recommend coming here after the evening hours, or honestly at all. Be careful out there y'all. read more

Dear Grant Haag and WinCo, Corporate Team, On August 29, 2025, around 2230, I experienced unprofessional and inconsistent service at the Fort Worth WinCo location, located at 8000 Block of Crowley Rd. This included actions by manager Christina and store manager Art that I perceived as personal rather than procedural. Attempts to report this to corporate customer service were met with dismissiveness, repeated disconnections, and unprofessional conduct, including a dog barking in the background during the call. I have documentation and photos supporting inconsistencies in how transactions were handled compared to others, and I recommend staff training on de-escalation, respect, and professionalism. I appreciate a prompt response via email, phone, or both, detailing the actions taken to address these concerns. 1. In-Store Experience I had more than 10 items (not a full cart) and attempted to use the 10-items-or-less self-checkout, needing separate itemized receipts. To comply with the 10-item limit, I removed 10 items from my basket to purchase at self-checkout and left the remaining items on the other side of the rope for a separate transaction to be completed later. Employee Christina insisted the lane was limited and instructed another employee to remove my remaining basket and start returning the items. The customer service area was full of go-back baskets, making me feel her actions were personal rather than procedural. 2. Manager & Employee Conduct Christina was dismissive and argumentative, and after the act was done, she hid away in the office, described as "throwing the rock and hiding her hand. Store manager Ray was immediately defensive of Christina. Professionalism and fairness should have been prioritized over defending the staff. Ray mentioned the store was short-staffed, which is not the customer's concern. 3. Corporate Contact Issues The corporate representative answered with an unprofessional greeting. She refused to provide her name, repeatedly stated she would not "go back and forth" on the issue, and confirmed calls were not recorded after I asked her for her name and if the calls were recorded. During the call, I noticed her dog barking repeatedly in the background, which further reflected a lack of professionalism. My call was disconnected multiple times during my attempts to call back, in hopes of speaking with someone, which I perceived as intentional and unprofessional as well. 4. Inconsistent Treatment Documentation and photos show: My husband completed a self-checkout transaction with 26 items after I was denied. A friend and her husband split one cart successfully, despite being told that splitting was not allowed. On a later visit with four friends, all separate transactions were completed without issue. These inconsistencies suggest Christina acted based on personal bias rather than company policy. I am happy to provide documentation upon request. 5. Broader Concerns Google reviews indicate long lines, and limited registers are common at this location. My experience may not be isolated, indicating a systemic customer service issue. 6. Recommendations for Improvement All parties involved, Christina, Ray, and the corporate representative, should participate in training on de-escalation, respect, and customer service professionalism. Conclusion & Request 1. Review the situation at Crowley & Sycamore. 2. Remind staff of proper professional conduct and consistent policy application. 3. actullly I would give this stores customer service a ZERO. Sent my Nie to buy turkey ground she purchased beef. I took it back to get a refund or the right meat. Cioulsnt return or get credit talked to 2 managers still NO was the answer i had receipt & card I purchased it with. Make me understand how you spend $450.00 at a store refund $35.00 or exchange and the answer is No. they'd rather loose a customer who only goes there to spend big sums of money each time then to take a $35.00 lost. I will never shop there again. It's already about 18 lines but 2 open it was a hot mess to shop there any way. I'f they closed every store in my area except them I'll drive across to grocery shop. Ive been going there since they opened. They are becoming way overpriced for the quality they offer. Don't tell me your 30 cents cheaper for a pepper half the size and especially freshness. I was happy with this store but not anymore. My husband and I went shopping right before the holiday 6/29/23 weekend. Store was packed and we were in a hurry to get out of the store. We forgot some of the things we brought ( a dozen of eggs and I for my bag of plants in a box trying to assist him. I went back to the store with my receipt and told the manager what happen. OMG, he said one or two things happen the person behind of us might have taken it and if I forgot my things the store clerk write down in a book if people forget things. Well nothing was written in the book for the day in question. I'm old and so is my husband but not crazy yet. I'm not trying to pull a fast one or get something for free. Well, bottom line if you forget anything and the person behind get your things in error or the clerk forget to make it in a book. You will have to buy it over again. I don't know why they even have a phone because they never answer it. I have been trying to call to find out the time customer service is open for days and get no answer. Not even a recorded message with store hours. Just a phone ringing until it hands up. Even during the night I've heard it trying non stop and no one is even trying to answer it. God forbid one of the workers family has an emergency and can't get a hold of them. I'm sure they aren't allowed to use their cell phones during work. I love this store! They have everything! Not only do they have everything but they are usually cheaper than other stores which is a great addition. Staff has always been nice and helpful. They only thing is you have to bag your own groceries, but I do don't mind this, because my fruits and veggies are bagged together and not banged around or thrown in the bag like other places and I get to put all my frozen goodies together. WOW. I think my friend and I spent literally 2 hours in here going up and down every aisle. She had been here once before and checked it out real quick and I had never been here. So, I knew in advance that they had some deals compared to other stores, and they do NOT accept Credit Cards, that's the BIG downside. But if you can get past that, then your in good shape. It looked like a brand new store, great condition and lots of space to get through the aisles on a busy Saturday morning, like when we went. I wish they would have one by my job or where I live in SW Arlington it would be so nice to just stop in by the deli and grab some things for lunch. They had all kinds of things to just pick up and go, hot soups, cold chef salads, different small meals for someone who doesn't cook, or is looking for something good to warm up. They had meatloaf w/ mac and cheese, general tso chicken, and all kinds of sandwiches full size looked like a foot long and that was under $5! My friend got a roast beef w/ cheese and I think lettuce on a croissant, and I think it was around $2.50 and it looked DELISH! I almost forgot to mention, you have to bag your groceries yourself they give you the bags though and I got $80 worth of a lot of items, I had them bagged by myself in no time, so I don't think personally it's too big of a deal! Like other reviewers said, you have to bag your own groceries (but bags are provided so not like you have to bring your own reusable bags or anything like that). In short, I love this place! With such low prices, I'm fine w/ bagging my own groceries. I wanted to check this place out since my favorite grocery store has always been HEB. Today (04-17-2014) was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised to find that their prices were comparable to, if not lower than, prices at HEB and many, many other grocery stores. Strawberries were $0.97/pound, big (over 5 pounds) extra-sweet Del Monte Gold pineapples were $0.98/each, yellow onions were $0.28/pound, etc. The produce were also very fresh. I was especially excited to check out their Bulk Foods section. It's true what another reviewer said -- I saw children playing with the candies or sticking their hands into the bins/barrels, so I would stay away from buying bulk candies unless they were individually wrapped. WinCo does have signs all over saying that sampling is not allowed, but some parents just don't watch their kids (or care)! I don't think kids care to mess with the dried goods as much (e.g. spices, rice, flours) so I might consider buying those. There was a huge variety of everything, including things like spelt flour and semolina flour. Oh yeah. You can also get store or generic brands for cheap prices, e.g. a half-gallon jug of whole milk was $0.98, 8-ounce cream cheese bricks were $0.99/each, a pound of butter (4-stick package) was $1.49. I bake a lot so I know these prices are LOW! Lastly... I think it was a good idea that I came on a Thursday afternoon when it was slow. I can imagine how hectic/crowded it would be on the weekends, and if you have to bag a bunch of items and happen to hold up the line, I can imagine the dirty looks you would get. Where do I start? Customer service is always on point, if ever I have a question or need help finding something they are on it. You are greeted at the door most days and you always leave feeling like you spent your money in the right place. They have a variety of fruits, veggies, meats, flours, grain, etc... This is the place you would want to shop because it is an employee owned company so all of their employees have stock in the store, AWESOME! *P.S. Went for groceries. Line to check out were extremely long. So decided to do self checkout. Nowhere does it say 15 items or less. Lady at the end had an attitude. She was arguing with my husband about how she counted 32 items and we were holding her line back. My husband told her they should have more cashiers. Another employee approached us and said for us to go to Walmart or Albertsons. We were no longer welcomed in their store. Well u just lost a customer. Worse customer service ever. I'm gonna get Winco foods and overall three rating due to one very bad experience. I am reluctant to shop there again. I was seriously disappointed in the general Tso's chicken. It was a frozen package so you couldn't see what was in there. The bag doubted 1 lb 8 oz and I received four packets of sauce to about one serving of chicken. One sauce packet would more than cover the chicken that was in that bag. Now I have three extra sauce packets for something else. Very disappointed and thought I was duped. If I could write a zero I would. This lady who works self scan said I needed 15 items, I had maybe 17 items and she had me to another register that had multiple people with cart full items. Please be warned if the meat smells rank or putrid, also if it has small enzyme bubbles where the meat is starting to deteriorate, *DO NOT EAT IT* You could become very ill and need to go to the doctor. I reached out to corporate and they have not even had the decency to reach back to me with any comment. Stopped by this place a few times after it opened when I was with people who want to check it out. Their business model is to offer a slightly limited selection and have you bag your own groceries to keep prices low. Prices: I feel their prices are comparable to other local stores. They have raised prices since their grand opening on a few items, I noticed this because on my last trip there were a lot of unchanged and duplicate price stickers on the shelves. One dip I buy often had the price raised by 50 cents, and there were 4 stickers on the shelf- one was the old price and three were the new price. There were also many misplaced and missing prices in the produce section. Selection: The selection in meat and produce is fairly good, but more limited in the middle of the store where processed and shelf stable foods are. Instead of 10 different types of baked beans, they have 3 or 4, for example. So not incredibly limiting unless you are picky or on a special diet. Speaking of special diets, as someone who has to eat Gluten Free for medical reasons, their GF selection is below average, but it is survivable with a few key items there but a few key items missing. There are a few organic items available for people who purchase those. Bulk Section: This is what I have heard people talking about and what I think draws them to this store. They have around the same size bulk section as Central Market in Fort Worth, with candy, flours, nuts, honey, and peanut butter. Most of them are in gravity bins, but some items are in big barrels that you have to reach into and scoop the items out of. I saw more than one child stick their hand in these so I would not buy from those if it is not an individually wrapped item. There is also a nice big wall of coffee beans. Meats: Good selection and decent prices. They have a seafood counter but not a butcher counter, which I usually use for small quantities, but for most of the popular cuts of meat they have them out in the case in about a 2 person serving size. On the flip side, there are also big family packs with good per pound prices. Frozen: Average selection of frozen foods and average prices. Their own store brand has a lot of frozen items that are at very cheap prices. Produce: Decent selection, all looked decently fresh. A lot of items were already packaged so if you want to buy small quantities like one shallot, etc., you may be out of luck. Average prices. The signs and price tags all seemed to be in the wrong place so it takes a little work to figure out how much you will be spending. Bakery: Small average bakery. A small selection of Udis GF items including bread, so once again it is survivable for a GF eater but not the best. Overall: Definitely know what to expect when you come here. I drive past this place often and if I need to pick up something for dinner or just a couple things I will stop in, but am definitely not going to do my regular shopping here. For a value minded, non-picky person shopping for an average family this would be a good place. For those with special dietary needs or those seeking out organic, natural, or gourmet type foods, you would be better off shopping somewhere else but you can survive with this place if you have to. read more

So, my husband lost his phone there early at about 5:30 pm on 2/21/21. I'm dating cause he refuses to turn the employee in. I would if I knew her name, she works at the front running self check out. He Went back twice and second time started calling it from my phone. Hmmmm guess what he heard? His phone and he asked for it back, said employee said I'm trying to check out these people and even the ones checking out got mad at my husband. He finally got the employee to relinquish his phone. Their prices change a lot as they get lower prices from vendors and pass on the savings!!!! I love that!!! Meats are'n't that great of a deal nor sod nor pet food but everything else is great deals!!! They keep prices down by bagging your own ( less box boys/courtesy clerks) and I prefer to bag my own anyway as I am VERY picky! Also by not accepting credit cards!!! The prices here are really great. Especially on the meat and fruits/vegetables. The selection for both is extensive and fresh. Canned product prices are also pretty good better than almost any grocery chain in the area. The store is kept clean and orderly. The isles are roomy and clutter free. I think my only criticism would be on their bakery. Not much of one in my opinion. They have this little bitty case with a few pastries (and I do mean, a few) and nothing much else. Oh yeah! I have gone to the deli many times with my husband , and had no problems mainly because he orders, but when II usually do, I have the same problem with this one employee named Denise behind the counter , she needs to work on her customer service a lot more and pay attention to her customers better and don't assume and think he /she said this and that, when a customor comes and requests a particular order to be done just do it . I have come in and according to your signs on the chicken it does NOT say 24 pieces dark chicken here , I never order such a large order, I always get a 24 piece that is on the white card , fresh dropped , I try to come in early so I can have such an order done. This is my second time NOT getting what I requested , in Serra's I got chicken I was told was fresh dropped before I got there , well let me tell you what that was like , dry and on the too done side, tasted like it had been cooked more than +3 hrs instead . From now on when I request chicken again and she proceeds to just give me what is on her tray instead of my fresh dropped chicken I will walk away after she packs it !!!!!!i don't have to purchase it! read more

I went twice before writing a review. It reminds me of a Walmart without the additional shopping options (clothes, shoes, etc.). The bulk food area is a nice addition but like other stores they didn't allow aisle space for as crowded as this area is. The deli has a nice selection and reasonably priced. Some of the prices are lower and some are higher. If you live near here and can shop the sales then it is a great addition to the grocery rotation, but if you have to drive a ways like I do then it is not worth the difference. read more

I experimented the other evening and tried and succeeded in saving some money on my groceries. There's supposed to be a weekly online "newspaper" reflecting the specials but, I couldn't find it. WinCo doesn't charge for grocery carts but, shoppers do bag their own purchases and I bought way too much. This is an above average grocery store with produce, some excellent prices and some okay prices. First of all, the reviews I read stated that I should be prepared for empty shelves; I didn't see one empty shelf. I did, however, find the layout rather odd considering how very large it is. And it is big. The produce department is a very good size and there's even a bulk grocery section but, I don't recommend the candy as there are too many little hands in the barrels. The meat department was rather small and without much selection. I tried some ground turkey and ground beef. The flavors of the meat was very good but, there were a lot of additives. The meat prices were very good. There's even a section for hair products, pain relievers, tooth brushes, etc. with fair prices. I was just pleasantly surprised there was one. I needed some paper towels but, I don't like the select-a-size variety and that's all they had. It seemed like there was a large frozen foods department while a limited refrigerated foods department. They accept coupons and give discounts for magazines and books. I had brought my own reusable shopping bags, apparently the only ones in the store at that time. This store is convenient for me because it's close to home. I don't do major shopping here because the prices went up now that they been there a while. Like the canned goods were 33 cents and now they are double. They have some good sales and cupons in the mail.
