I feel like I am in a small rural town when I'm inside this store, rather than noisy and bustling W 7th. The atmosphere dysphoria is truly remarkable. Having said that, the prices tend to be solidly "W 7th," if you know what I mean. Product markups are often more extreme here than in similar markets, so approaching this store with a loss-leader philosophy is not a bad idea. The sample events are genuinely worth showing up for, as you can easily leave with a bag of full-sized items to try. They also routinely offer complimentary reusable shopping bags with purchase, which are sturdy and well-made, in addition to other free items, such as chocolate bars and other snack products. I've amassed a little stockpile of organic canned beans in my pantry for 35¢ a can after using their "$1 off any store brand item" coupon found in the coupon booklets they leave at the entrance. Their anniversary sale in August tends to offer unusually good bargains, and the app contains opportunities as well. If you use the various tools Natural Grocers provides, it's not difficult to optimize your shopping here. I've learned the hard way to avoid the clearance rack for the most part, as they seem to wait until the day of expiration to put the products out, and what I've tried has been noticeably stale. Most importantly, their inventory is healthy, and the vibe is stress-free. Long lines, rambunctious kids, and big crowds don't really seem to happen here. I have been here several times before and have enjoyed my experience. However, tonight I was asking an employee about the rewards program so I could sign up (I've been going much more frequently in the last few weeks) and where to find it on the website and she was dismissive and said "you can find it on the website." Yes, thank you I know that and as I mentioned before, I tried that and couldn't find it right away as easily as I thought I would be able to and thought I would ask. Then she proceeds to answer on the phone and explain to whoever was on the line that "oh, I'm talking to a customer and she's asking a question about the rewards program "or something". I'm sorry this just felt incredibly condescending. It may not have been meant to be, but it came off that way and I just decided to leave. I asked for help and felt ignored and like an inconvenience by the end. I get it, I work in a customer service industry as well--but I get enough from customers, I don't need to get it from businesses that I frequent as well. Even though it was late in the evening, I decided to leave my purchases there and head over to target for what I needed and was able to get everything I needed (and most all were the same brands) at a much more affordable price and still organic. #7 out of 23! I love this store chain. Every time I walk in here I know I am getting high quality food items that are good for me and the environment. Not sure how I can explain this but just walking in and smelling the store makes me feel good and smile haha (i know weird). I know when I walk in the store will be clean and free of clutter, I rarely seen it crowded with people either. The employees are nice and friendly and I know that they wont be giving me attitude compare to employees in other stores. There is always an abundant amount of freebies at the stores, weather is in person or via coupon sent to your email I always get freebies. If you sign up for their email newsletter they are always giving away stuff for free, specially reusable bags! I got one in March because they were celebrating Texas independence. I got another one back in June because it was their anniversary or something but seriously go sign up because is free. On top of the free stuff they also advertise a lot of Texas brands and they have little tabs on the products that say 'shop Texas'. The service here is always efficient and friendly. There is an awesome variety of products. Prices are higher than most grocers but they do have some decent sales. The organic produce is always top notch. The supplements are plentiful, lots of different brands to choose from. I do like the actual store brand they offer in many of their products. Bring your bags, they only offer boxes to carry your purchases home or reusable bags for sale. read more

Sampling event was nothing special. Some items weren't served that were on the handout. I did enjoy the ground bison and breakfast sausage. The two ladies serving samples were professional and helpful. When checking out I had to inform associate that bags were free for members during event. I've noticed this is a reoccurring issue at some establishments I visit. I'm not sure if employees don't care or haven't been informed about promotional weekly deals/events. read more

Great place to stop by for organic items. We truly love the strawberries from here I don't think we have ever had better strawberries than the ones you can buy at natural grocers. My daughter is a picky eater and she loves to go to the healthy store to pick out stuff she can snack on. This is much like the other Natural Grocers I've been to. It has about as many nutritional supplements as food items, and that makes me wonder if a diet of natural foods is adequate. Anyway, I also noticed thee merchandising philosophy of natural food involves the use of puns and creative naming. The store is clean- spotless I. Fact. Two of the three staffers were polite and spoke as they worked. The cashier didn't speak. They had a lot of registers yet only one was open. The shelves were well stocked and fronted. Honestly a little disappointed. I won a gift card which I was excited to use since I've never shopped here before today , the assistant manager Bryce I think hands it to me not letting me know their gift car reader isn't working . me and my husband walked around taking our time picking out our items once we get to the check out after scanning everything only then right as we were paying did they let us know they are unable to use it . I have seen this place so many times over the years and never stopped in. My first visit in was prompted by an attempt to eat raw vegan for two weeks, and it was the only place where I could pick up kelp noodles in store for $3.99 for a 12 oz bag. Whole Foods was several dollars more. I've been here several times since and it's awesome! If you join the loyalty club, you can earn points in different categories. There are also unique perks- special pricing- for members only. You can get a dozen large, cage free, free range eggs for $1.99 any time. Organic avocados are always $.99. My first visit, I was given a $25 gift card- just because they were doing a promotion and it was the last day! And for signing up for the loyalty program, I was given a free recyclable bag! Every time I visit the employees are super friendly. They always make conversation and have smiles on their faces. They don't bag things in grocery bags, so be sure to bring your recyclable bags. They do have small boxes that you can pack things in too. They sell lots of brands of specialty items- it's a specialty foodie's dream! Also, the kombucha section is amazing! Recently Kevita kombucha was on sale for $1.99 each! When the cheapest kombucha is $2.50 on sale at most stores, this is a huge savings! And they sell Health-Aide kombucha for at least a dollar or two off of the prices of other places. They also had the best prices for Raw vegan protein powder-$2 less than Whole Foods and Sprouts. I've had the pleasure of shopping here about five or six times now. Items here are in line with what you'd find at Whole Foods, and so are most prices. Pro-Tip: sign up for the discounts - they really do make a difference here. Since I signed up, each month, I'm emailed a nice discount on top of what the monthly flyer offers. While shopping, I've also noticed that this store has a lot of unadvertised discounts on a few items. I'm that customer that slowly browses and asks lots of questions, so I usually end up chatting with staff, and they've always been friendly. It's a tidy, well-organized, small store, but they do offer a wide variety of items of very high quality including a few prepared meals and desserts. Their bulk, organic bagged teas, nuts, and candy are a much better deal than that at bulk bins anyplace else I've shopped. They have a dedicated area to teach health/cooking classes. Besides food items, Natural Grocers also carries supplements, cookbooks, and a few nice cookware & teatime items. The produce prices are out of my wallet's league (LOL), so this isn't my main grocery spot, but I definitely rotate them in, especially when they email me a great coupon. Looking out on the morning rain I used to feel so uninspired but give me -raw nuts huge selection & value -hard to find healing foods such as beef bone broth -dried fruits with no added sulphur -spices on the cheap like turmeric -whole grains & flours great values -delicate beauty products -protein powder values NG makes me feel like a natural woman. I am so happy NG came to Fort Worth. I used to have to stock up while in Dallas. I love this store because all the shelves are stocked with wholesome products without scary ingredients and there is a simple healing nature to the way they run their business. Compare to Whole Foods & Central Market, prices are generally lower. For example Kombuca is $2.69 here vs $3.29, Garden of Life Raw protein powder is $5 less and they usually have sales to make it $10 less and still can use coupon on top of that (usually $5 coupons roaming around), raw brazil nuts are half the cost, flours, whole grains, beans and rice are much cheaper in already packaged bags instead of creepy germ-serve-your-nasty-self community bins. Employees know natural ways to heal you and ask about their filing cabinet which is a wealth of knowledge organized by interest and saves me alot of time doing independent research. All the health guidance I have received has been spot on and non gimmicky. read more

And the best part - I found a larger selection of gluten free products than any other place in Ft. Worth. Oh how I wanted to like this place-- I too, wanted to feel like a natural woman! (See review below). I had visualized Natural Grocers being a hybrid between a Whole Foods and a Trader Joe's-- a limited selection of healthy food at a reasonable price. While there was a good selection of natural supplements, for the most part, every product can be bought at Whole Foods/ sprouts, and the prices were the same if not more than Whole Foods, which was disappointing. That being said, I did find some date rolls which were cheaper than in store, and I bought some healthy chia rolls. However, these purchases were mostly a result of that strange guilty feeling you get when you peruse a store and leave empty handed. In summary: avoid spending $12 extra dollars on date rolls and just go to Whole Foods. read more

I discovered Natural Grocers in July and have been a fan since. The customer service is excellent. Every employee, including the manager, is friendly, kind and helpful. The samples are wonderful and the coupons are the best ever. NPower is their online loyalty reward program. It is easy to use and you don't have carry a card to reap your rewards. They also have classes about organics, nutrition and sundry other food topics. It is my favorite place to shop. I feel good when I am there and I feel good when I leave because I know that I have purchased healthy foods. read more
