I've been here a few times passing through, as it's the halfway point between my house and the project I'm working on out west. It's a bigger HEB, clean. Parking is easy to get in and out of. I forget what I stopped in for, but I do recall getting some of the pot stickers at the sushi counter, they were really good. Ok, this is a mixed review and I will keep it short and sweet... The store has some of the better produce to be found in the area. Good selection and quality product. Their deli and cheese section is likewise very good. Overall, they probably have what you need in this grocery store. Prices aren't bad considering what you get. But man oh man is it not fun to shop here. It's always busy and crowded, but that's not the worst of it. The worst part is the army of curbside shopping people they have. These shoppers are pulling these huge carts, which they leave in the middle of the aisles while they go off in search of items for multiple orders. It's not like you can ask them to move, because half of the time, they aren't near that cart. They know where things are so they just "pop around the corner" to gab items while the cart sits blocking the aisles instead of the shopper wheeling it around. Honestly, with all of the curbside shoppers clogging the flow, it's just a heck of a lot less frustrating for me to go somewhere else. I had hoped the recent expansion would have eased this problem, but it hasn't. read more

This H-E-B has super friendly staff. (The woman who works in the makeup department is wonderful!) They also have a very nice selection of sushi and hot Asian food. The Korean Pot Stickers are particularly spicy. Great store with good food and friendly/knowledgeable staff. read more

This review is for the True Texas BBQ, but it isn't listed on Yelp. The BBQ has been good most of the time, with good prices. But if you're hungry for que on a Sunday afternoon, I suggest you pass. When I arrived (@ 4:45), there was no line and no one waiting on an order. So I placed my order expecting quick service. FIFTEEN minutes later my name was called. I don't think I've ever been to a BBQ place that took that long to fill an order for a three meat plate. I should have checked the ribs before I left. When I got home, opened the to-go tray and pulled out a rib, it looked like jerky. And was that tough. At least the turkey and chopped brisket was good. read more

This is the second time I've bought kids' products from H-E-B only to find out they were expired. That's unacceptable. Parents should not have to double-check expiration dates at the store just to make sure the products are safe for their children. There is such a good selection of goodies here that it stunned me. Everything's bigger in Texas and this includes the grocery stores. I'm used to Costco and veggies from the farmers market. Newer store with a great selection of groceries. The store is on the smaller side, but it had everything we needed. The simple fresh meals are fantastic for our family. The fresh tortillas are amazing. We don't have an HEB near us, so when we are close to one we stock up when we can. My daughter really loves the buddy bucks! read more

Always love coming in here. I come in here a lot for myself and my family. With that being said, do not try calling any of their departments. You will be looped around to same front lady because no one in their departments ever answers the phone. It is extremely frustrating driving out there to not find an item when it could've been avoided by the associates picking up the phone. read more

I'm a big H-E-B fan. And I've always loaded up when going south of DFW area. I've been to the Burleson and Hidson Oaks Locations and prefer Hudson Oaks, the drive from my place Keller is just better if you go during the week. I like their product line and the meats, I like the fact you can buy whole packer brisket or pick one already trim down. The selection from select to prime fits every budget, pork bellies,tri-tip and pichana make the trip worthwhile. They have decent Keto selections also. I Love the Texas Pecan coffee they sell for the kcups also. We go once a month with a detailed list which only serves as a start we certainly come out with more than we intend everytime. Once in the car after catching our breath we will comment. "That should last awhile" and it usually does. I am so excited to know 2023 brings us one to Far North FW. read more

To be honest, I rarely ever go into the store due to the sheer amount of people who frequent it. So, my reviews are, for the most part, based on the curbside experience. I have ordered curbside groceries over the past few months, and I think that overall I have a good experience. If the shopper has questions, they usually send a text to ask questions. When I ask for specific produce, I haven't had a problem getting the correct items. That also includes deli brands (if available) and slice thickness. The shoppers have always been friendly and I usually get my items during the time frame requested. I don't really have any complaints from this perspective and I appreciate the service I have received thus far. read more

I love Hudson Oaks HEB foods and shop there all the time. I have also bought ready made flower bouquets from them and was always happy so I didn't think twice about ordering a bouquet for my daughter's HS graduation. We asked for white roses with pink tips and baby pink tulips and pick up at 9:00am. The girl that took our order said the roses might not already have pink tips and would it be okay if they were "dipped", thinking they'd be dipped in a food/flower dye we said fine. I've loved H-E-B since I was a kid growing up in south TX. We would travel 30 miles to the next town over to the nearest location every other week or so. They have fresh meat, bakery items, and prepared foods in their deli section. And their butter flavor tortillas made in-house are sinfully delicious! There's been speculation that they may be popping up a store in North Fort Worth, but that has yet to happen. I honestly hate that I-35 drive to get to the Burleson location and have only done it one time. In comes the new Hudson Oaks store and while it's still about 30 mins away from my home, I like the easy drive to get there. It took me a while to visit this location after hearing of its opening last year. I love their curbside grocery pickup service. They don't have a minimum amount you have to purchase (that I am aware of.) However, the downside is you are not able to reserve your pickup time as soon as the next day without paying for a $4.95 personal shopper fee. So, plan ahead. The curbside staff are very friendly. I stopped in recently on a Sunday morning and man were they busy! It was around 10:30 am and there were people everywhere. If you want to avoid the crowd, don't go at that time. The store was generally well kept and the shelves were well stocked. I came in to pick up some fresh salads and marinated chicken leg quarters. They have a nice selection of keto goodies such as ice cream, sugar-free coffee creamers, salads, and low carb prepared meals as well. I didn't find the store employees as friendly as the curbside crew. My cashier was very short and impersonal. No biggie. She got me through the line quickly which is more important. I will say, there were many checkout lanes open so the lines were not bad at all considering the volume of people. They also have self checkout available. Yasss! I think I'll stick to their curbside pickup service from now on to avoid the weekend crowd. Again, people everywhere! Until they open a location closer to me, this will be my go-to store. read more

This is possibly the worst HEB. The flow of traffic, MASSIVE personal shopper carts that take up half the aisle way, and there are usually 10 to 20 at any given time. Employees cut customers off in the pathways, there are usually several employees, usually manager or reps, standing around chatting and blocking aisles. The checkout card machines rarely work, and have to do some sort of chicken dance just to read the cards The carts are horrible, usually at least one wheel skips, and they have the anti theft wheel that will lock up if you take the cart too far from store, this is ok, belt those wheels drag and are usually a different size than the other three. Parking is an absolute nightmare. There is NEVER a customer service person around. The produce is usually not ripe or still frozen from storage, the meat is WAY over priced. It's a grocery store. 1) I can see that certain things like the bakery, produce, meat, seafood could be good but in order for them to be good, they'd have to have things in stock. 2) Waaaaay too many people in such a small space. 3) Prices are nothing to get excited about. I'll stick with Walmart for most stuff and make a quick trip to H‑E‑B every once in a while when I need something in particular and have a Xanax handy to get me through the anxiety it causes. I love HEB! It's not terribly close to where we live but worth the drive. HEB is so great because they offer high quality and TONS of options. The prices are great. My problem is that I feel like I'm saving money so I buy more things. Oops. For HEB novices, never skip the HEB-brand items. The quality usually surpasses national brands and the prices are spot-on. We drive to HEB just for their HEB brand Memphis BBQ sauce. Yum! If you can't fight the crowd or you have little humans in tow, this location offers curbside pickup. read more

Every time I step foot in this dump I'm quickly reminded what a disaster it is. In my attempt to avoid the madness, we shopped around 8:00pm Friday night. A few observations: Produce was decimated, Seafood counter broken down, stood for 3+ minutes and obviously the young man packing up had no desire to assist. Meat market was empty. Personal shoppers were non existent (thankfully) but still full pallets of crap everywhere blocking an already postage stamp sized store. Front end operators on a skeleton crew. Overall one of the poorest managed stores in the company. Time to clean house & bring in some affective operators. read more

H-E-B grocery store you supposed to love them it goes with being from Texas. I like them but not after this last visit. First visit.... We drove all the way to this location a few months after they open. Mainly to get Texas Peaches it is hard to find Texas peaches anywhere else. Nice big store new and nicely set up with plenty of parking. Good produce area found the peaches. I like them mainly because it was new. Second visit a year later.....We came back a few days ago for a habanero wine and this place was very, very, very busy. The isle were packed with people you had to zig-zag to get around. I was shocked they had this many people in the store with COVID-19 around. I was not comfortable I will not go back for a while mostly because it was too busy and a madhouse. Lucky they have a lot of lines to check out so you do not wait to leave. The lady in front of us at check out even had a pink Trump face mask on her face very strange and kind of scary. Good wine section plus other items not just food. The wine we wanted we could only find one. We did our other shopping since we were there. The lettuce selection was bad old wilted lettuce. Why they are so busy should be fresh? This H-E-B store is too packed with items not much room to get a round. This does not seem to hurt business. Maybe if they would open more stores the place would calm down. read more

Everyone who works there is super sweet! The orange chicken in the hot case is the best I have ever had!! It is always clean and well stocked. Sometimes later in an evening things might run low, but they work super hard all day to keep up. It's the best HEB I have shopped at. read more

When opened several years ago HEB was a fantastic store. Last 6 months things have gone downhill fast. Remodeling. Terrible signage. Items shown on website to be in stock never available. Meat specials not on display and meat department employees reluctant to go see if any in rear. Restocking shelves starts several hours before closing. Isles clogged with full pallets and employees rolling their eyes if requested to give you space to pass. Never thought a Walmart would be run better than an HEB but one 3 blocks away is. Car wash constantly closed for repairs. If open no soap or other chemicals dispensed as they should be. Hopefully management will improve or be replaced. This is not typical of HEB locations read more

aside from the fact that it's a pain to even find a parking spot at this store. Once you finally get inside, you have to battle literally hundreds of people just to find and get your grocery shopping done. The tipping point came, when we went to the Hudson Oaks HEB on Mother's Day and we were basically being followed by a rather large group of very young employees who were arranging and restocking the shelves. First problem, there were too many of them together in any given spot. Took up too much space and we weren't able to shop. Second problem, they were very, very noisy while they were RUSHING up and down the isles together. Third problem, they were also leaving the empty boxes scattered on the floor and that also got in the way for shoppers! It was super annoying to have all of that going on..all around you, following you down every isle. I literally ended up with one big headache, and less groceries. We finally gave up shopping. My advice would be to not have a mob of employees, rushing up and down the isles like that. It's inconsiderate of the shoppers that come there. Especially when they already have to deal with little parking and so many people to navigate around, once inside. read more

We usually do curbside pickup and have found that they rarely are unable to get what we've requested on our order. HEB has always been my go to store but the past few times that I come to Hudson Oaks the cashier and the person who bags the food have had pretty shitty customer service skills. They just toss your food around without being mindful of items in glass jars or bag items that can pop open easily when throwing stuff on top of it. They also have a bad habit of trying to make one feel bad for the amount of groceries one has in their cart. I literally just left and before leaving his area I heard the cashier tell the bagger how awful it was to check us out like I wasn't still standing there. If you don't like your job then QUIT. It's that simple. Just quit and move on to something else. If I could check my entire cart out myself I would 100% do it and not worry about someone judging my basket or mishandling the stuff I PAY FOR!!!! read more

Bread baked right there in the bakery and sliced to order - Not shipped in frozen and thawed out on the shelf like Walmart. 3. The best selection of wines and cheeses outside of a specialty store. 4. We drove all the way from East Fort Worth to the new HEB in hopes that they would have Parker County Peaches. AND THEY DID. Yippeeeee While there we really enjoyed walking around the store, for a long time, and finding some pretty good deals. (Most of the reason we walked around so long was there was a HUGE storm and I felt safe from the storm). HEBs are kind of a novelty to us here in the DFW area and are almost a destination place to shop. read more

Let me start out by saying I've been a loyal H-E-B customer for 4 years. Although there is a Brookshires 3 minutes from my house, I continue to use H-E-B curbside pickup in Hudson Oaks. However, the H-E-B personal shoppers really need to pay closer attention to dates on perishable items. I had 3 issues with my past order. The biggest problem was the roast beef dated " sell by 7/31/19". As seen in the picture below it is green with mold. So now I am out $5.69. Secondly, my grapes had 10 brown ones in the bag and the rest of the 1 lb were so sour they aren't edible. Finally, the zucchini noodles I received had a Best Buy date of 8/26/19. So I must eat them for dinner the next night or else they will be bad. Please tell your personal shoppers to be more careful about products dating. I have thrown away over $10 that I'm sure H-E-B won't refund me. Very disappointed. read more

We live down the road, so we choose to shop here over any other store & we do so, often. I work during the day so we usually go in the evening. Today I had the day off, and I went during the day around noon. I went to the coffee shop first & the coffee was so good. Service was great, there were a few workers taking a break in there and they were very nice too. I started to walk around and literally everyone greeted me as a passed by them. Asked how my day was and told me to enjoy shopping. I was just shocked at how nice and welcoming everyone was. Such a great store & great staff. Everyone was so nice! read more
