They don't know how to properly store avocados I've given them 3 different chances buying from them and they've been hard as rocks like they've been stored in the freezer then placed out, and after bringing home never softened to cut and use.... The frozen flour taquitos are not flour but white corn even though it says flour on the box, like we are stupid and don't know the difference between white corn and flour. But my main complaint is that they need to be trained on how to properly store their produce!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Worst location I've ever been to. Was clearly struggling with my daughter and when I finally made it to the check out line, the cashier walked right past me and started cleaning the floors on his little machine???? Ignored me. We were clearly ready to check out. She wouldn't stop running around so I took her outside to calm her down. She had also pooped her diaper. They employees took my cart and started removing items from my cart and my phone also ended up missing.... Would rather drive to Fort Worth then come back here. They also don't carry tofu or many of the cool vegan products that other stores do. read more

Very affordable prices and excellent food quality. If you haven't shopped here yet, you're missing out on this gem of a grocery store. They have new food items often. Surprisingly, they offer a decent selection of very affordable "healthy" food items, such as low calorie bread and turkey dogs. They save money by making the customer return the carts by using a quarter deposit system. They also don't give away plastic bags. Just remember to bring your own (I recommend a tote bag). Bottom line: generally cheaper than Wal-Mart and on par, if not better, quality than WM. read more

I've seen Aldi's around for a while and during this cross country trip I decided to try one. This review is not for those who already know and shop at Aldi's, it's more focused for those that haven't. If you shop there already and like it, then that's great. As a first time shopper there I was surprised. First, the positives. Employees were friendly and the russet potatoes were great. Now for the rest of the story. My first encounter ever with the insert-quarter-to-get-a-shopping-cart brilliant idea. Yep, all the carts are chained together like they've done something terribly wrong. You must insert a quarter to unlock the section of chain for that cart. Apparently, when you return the cart and reattach the chain it will return your quarter. A number of things wrong with this brilliant idea. If you don't have a quarter, you will probably expend more gas and shop somewhere else unless you want to hand carry all your groceries to the counter. If you are like many of us, and do happen to find a quarter at the bottom of the center console of your car, you are likely as not to leave the cart in the parking lot in a vacant stall rather than return it. This defeats the purpose of the whole idea and maybe they will rethink this malarkey, and it also allows others who do not carry pocket change around with them to shop unmolested......they can just take mine that I left for them with the quarter in it. I was tempted go to the bank and get as many quarters as I could and insert them in all the carts in the chain-gang, freeing them from captivity and being used only by those privileged enough to have a quarter. Anyway, after finding my dusty quarter and being instructed on its use by a nice old lady who shared my sentiments about the whole affair, I ambled inside. Way smaller grocery store than I expected, and I don't mean by the everything-is-bigger-in-Texas measure. Next I came to the immediate conclusion that I was not going to easily locate things on my list due to the way things were stacked on the shelves in their original cartons and the way I could immediately see that things were laid out in the store. I also came to the conclusion that I would not find everything I needed on my list. And lastly I came to the conclusion that because of those two things I would probably pay a little less for things here (which is a good thing, since my quarter was locked up in the shopping cart). So, the shopping experience and products: I've shopped at Costco and Smart and Final before so I'm no stranger to warehouse type experience, but this felt more like shopping in someone's garage. Produce was limited and almost all of it looked like it had been sitting there forever. Extensive selection of breads for some reason. All other products were very limited quantity and variety. Want sugar? Sure, one 5 lb bag granulated. No other choices. Want flour? Same thing, one 5 lb bag bleached white flour. Meats looked decent, what there was of it. I bought the only quart of whole milk left in the case (and it was dented in a number of places). Ironically, there was a large section and selection of Easter candy! Yay! Ok, now for check-out. I waited 15 minutes at the only open register while someone was complaining that they were overcharged by a quarter (what's with quarters and this place?). After some weird gyrations they handed the poor guy his quarter. I wish I had an extra quarter to give the guy, but unfortunately it was locked in my cart. Ok, so I'm next. I told the clerk I needed bags. He says he's sorry and starts placing items directly into the cart. I said I would pay for them and he doesn't respond. So, I reach over and grab two sturdy Aldi shopping bags made from environmentally friendly material (woven Polypropylene made in Vietnam) and put them on the counter. He rings them up and just puts them in the cart. Ok, I guess they don't bag items, which somehow relates to lower cost to the consumer. Fine, I can bag them myself at the car. I probably saved a quarter on my potatoes due to the clerk not bagging items. I recently read two studies about the overall negative impact on the environment the reusable bags theory has. Fascinating really and made a lot of sense. Wonder if lawmakers and businesses actually studied this idea before implementing it or if it's just one big virtue-signal. Interesting where a lot of that money they charge for disposable bags goes as well. Anyway, so I wound up buying less than a quarter of the items on my list due to poor quality or lack of inventory, paid less than I would have elsewhere for those items, bagged my own groceries at the car, donated a quarter to the next shopper needing a cart, and wound up driving to another store for the rest of the groceries I needed thereby expending more gasoline and probably harming the environment more than the bag issue. Do I think people are bad or stupid for shopping here? Nope. Will I be back? Nope. read more

Aldi in Weatherford is always clean, neat, orderly, and has most things I need regularly. The staff has always been very helpful and very friendly. If you see a review about a rude cashier, it certainly has not been in Weatherford. As far as giving a bad review regarding charging for paper and plastic shopping bags. Most people knows Aldi does not provide bags. It's environmentally irresponsible. Take plenty of your own bags or be prepared to pay for them. It's not the responsibility of Aldi to give you free bags. That indignant attitude is entitlement. Check it at the door. read more

I shop once to twice a week at this store. I don't buy their fresh and vacuum pack meat and poultry so I have no comments on those products. I buy dairy products (including milk, half and half, cottage cheese, yogurt, sliced and shredded cheese, and eggs), packaged deli meats, guacamole and dips, packaged cracker and cookie products, baking ingredients, bread, canned soup, ice cream sandwiches, cleaning and bathroom supplies, paper products, and wet cat food. I'm not impressed with their fresh fruits/vegetables for two reasons: hit or miss quality, and bulk packaging. I shop for one person, so I need individual selection. I don't care for the taste of the store's frozen dinners, entrees, etc. but the quality seems fine. The Weatherford Tx store is clean, well stocked, and organized. I've never encountered a problem with an employee and don't understand negative comments posted about cashiers. I've found them attentive, cordial, and hard working. I typically buy groceries at three different stores, depending on what I need and my personal preferences. Aldi is definitely one of my go-to destinations. read more

Well I love exploring you never know what you might find at Aldi. I walked up to the register and didn't have to wait to check out. I had 6 bags with me that is usually plenty. Today I purchased a little bit more then usual and didn't have enough bags. I also seldom have cash so I asked for a couple of paper grocery bags. I spent $250 and was denied a couple of paper bags because I didn't have cash to pay for them. That ruined the whole experience. It might be a while before I go back read more

I love this store! They always have a fresh selection of fruits and veggies, good selection of meat and I can usually find a deal on lobster tail and crab legs. They also have a big selection of organic and gluten free items for those with special diets. The store is clean and the staff is helpful. They could benefit from more cashiers during peak hours but the lines move fairly quickly. read more

I have been shopping at this aldi since they opened. I usually shop there once a week and I have never had bad customer service or a rude cashier. I like their produce and meat and cheese sections. If I were only reviewing their food I would give them five stars but since I am also reviewing their customer service I only give it two stars. There customer service leaves a lot to be desired by all employees that I have met and I have yet to meet a cashier that acts like they are even somewhat happy to be there. They are very brash and not friendly. They do not greet you with a "Hi" or even a smile. Remember this is a customer service oriented place of business. read more
