Sandwich lover here... It's hard for me to find an Italian sub that I do not like. I was going to be downtown around lunch time and needed to eat. Naturally, I yelped a sandwich shop. Up popped Wild bunch! I had to try it. Nice that they have a free lot to park in but I drive an SUV and those spots are TIGHT!! I managed to get out (and back in) my car without dinging a door. You walk in the back door of the building and go left all the way in to the restaurant. It was a super small place with very few tables. The lady as nice but so soft spoken I could hardly hear her. I ordered an Italian sub and half a dozen chocolate chip cookies to give to the people I was going to see. The sandwich was quite good and the cookies, while not house made, were pretty good. They almost tasted like they had the slightest bit of Cayenne in them -maybe just a hint of spice on the back end to keep them from being a regular chocolate chip cookie. It was almost undetectable. I was so hungry. I took two bites before I remembered to take a picture - sorry! I am definitely going back. read more

I was looking for a good sandwich for lunch. Recommended on Yelp. It was about mile from where I was staying. I ordered the Butch Cassidy club toasted with chipotle Mayo and pepper Jack cheese. The bread was both flakey and soft. The sandwich was delicious. I got a small cup of chicken and dumpling soup also. It was great too. Next time I'm down near the Baylor Scott Andrew's hospital I know where to go for a quick bite. read more

This place is awesome. I always get the club sandwich. It's fresh made on the spot by the owner herself. I love supporting this small business. She is open Monday through Friday only, so get it while you can. You get to choose your own vegetable toppings / sauces / dressings and she has a great selection of chips, drinks and homemade desserts you can also buy like brownies and cookies, she also offers baked potatoes. Service is basically standing at a counter and ordering and then you pay at the register. There are about four tables inside. it's an old office building that she converted into a restaurant. Honestly terrible. Got the buffalo chicken sub and right off the bat had to get double chicken because the chicken (premade in cups) covered about half of the bread. Once everything was made, I paid an outrageous price. I paid $16 for a $10 sub w/ double chicken and a $2 cup of lemonade. As much as I paid, I was hoping to get something even close to decent, however, I was mistaken. The chicken was obviously frozen, which isn't normally a problem. However, it was soggy and tasted absolutely awful. The ranch that they put on had been left out at room temperature and tasted worse than the chicken, which I didn't know was possible. Thankfully, they managed to not screw up the lettuce and cheese. Never will be back to this place again. For the money that I payed, I should've just went to a franchise. If you're thinking about trying it as I did, DON'T. Save yourself some money and a stomachache and go to Subway, Jersey Mikes, really anywhere but here. read more

Well, we all make sacrifices and the Wild Bunch Sub Shop near downtown makes it a little more easy for me. I visited the Wild Bunch sandwich shop today for the second time and I have to say that I really like this place. From the location, I am shocked that they are still in business, but every time I go there are more than a few people inside enjoying a foot long sub. For the most part, the Wild Bunch is your standard sub shop. They have a wide selection of meats, a few cheeses and the typical fixings. I have had a salad and a sub so far and both were delicious. Today was my first visit, as was mentioned in another review this place can be a little hard to find, but with all the road construction at Jennings at Vickery it can be even harder to find. LOTS of cold and hot sub choices in either foot long or 6". They also have Frito pie, spaghetti, salads, cookies, doughnuts, and salad. I got a 6" Bunch melt (ham, turkey, bacon, and cheese) the bread and all the ingredients were fresh and tasty. FYI seating is limited so if you come at noon it may be hard to find a seat. Wild Bunch is a quick local little sub shop. It's part of the 101 building. Parking lot to the side off Jennings. They have a mixture of hot and cold subs. The ladies behind the counter and friendly and helpful. There is a new Subway Restaurant nearby with lines to the door everyday around noon. I pop into here and have a much shorter line and better tasting food. Bread, meats, and veggies all taste fresh. Nice variety of dressings. They have a loaded baked potato, and various soups and cookies that I've tried and liked. If I'm in a hurry this is place I go. read more

First visit here and absolutely loved it. There's a subway down the street that takes forever and the food doesn't taste nearly as good as this place. It's independently owned and the one lady working crew here worked faster than 3 people at subway. The short line moved amazingly fast. The sandwich was amazing.
