Visiting Texas for the first time and the amount of people walking around with brown paper bags with "potbelly" on them was a dead giveaway that I needed to check this place out. Like any typical counter service sub place, you tell the first person your order and style of bread, then move down the line to go over any toppings or modifications, and then by the time you hit the cashier, your food is pretty much done - talk about speedy service! They have a variety of designed options in hot and cold versions and then they have a list of basics for you to build your own. I chose the hot Mediterranean which was chicken, artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, feta cheese, and spicy hummus. I love all of those ingredients so it was a no brainer that I needed to pick that option. The sub was a little soggy/sloppy towards the end since the peppers and artichoke hearts typically carry a lot of liquid, so this wouldn't be a sub I'd recommend to hold onto or save as leftovers. The mess on my hands and face was totally worth it - it was a delicious sandwich and so filling I didn't get hungry for many hours afterwards! I know they are busy however when you tell an employee your mobile order isn't there (twice because they ignore you the first time) they shouldn't tell you "well if you're late someone will take it". I wasn't late, I was actually 2 minutes early. Then it took another 15 minutes to get my food because the person handling the order didn't think it was necessary to made sure the sandwich was being made ASAP. I had to ask 2 different times if the sandwich was being made (and I was being nice!) Didn't offer me a refund, anything free. Do better!!! Train your employees to treat customers with respect. It seems to be some type of deli pressed chicken. It's not stringy like normal chicken. This is a good place for lunch and the location, smack in the center of downtown, can't be beat. I placed an order for several days prior to the day we needed lunch. I thought I had ordered for delivery. On the day of the "scheduled" delivery, the food did not show up. My colleagues were about an hour from me so I had to figure out what on earth to do. I had a confirmation in my email, but when I pulled up the Potbelly website, no orders were showing. I panicked! I called the store and had to wait for someone to answer the call - it was lunch time so they were busy! My order wasn't there. WHAT? I quickly placed another order with DoorDash. These people were counting on me! I then found that I had called the wrong store. Finally, I got the right store where Paula answered and assured me that my original order was there. I had to make some things happen to get this order (that I thought was delivery) to my colleagues, but Paula did everything in her power to make sure the right person picked up my order and we were taken care of. I came here for lunch out of desperation as I was attending a trade show with for my job and they did not have any vegetarian options available at the luncheon they provided. They're getting 3 stars from me because they actually have vegetarian options (lots of places don't have any at all), but of their 3 vegetarian options, one of which can't be considered vegetarian... The "Pizza Melt" is listed as a "can be made vegetarian" option and they do so by removing the three types of meats that are on this sandwich.. Leaving you with mushrooms, cheese and tomato sauce for the exact same price as the regular, meat-filled Pizza Melt, which includes these items PLUS pepperoni, Italian sausage and capicola meats. ***Note for ALL Potbelly Locations - you cannot call an item vegetarian WITHOUT REPLACING the meat items. Not doing so means that you're ripping off vegetarians while not actually paying attention to their needs. If you want to offer the Pizza Melt as vegetarian, provide a meatless meatball option for replacement. I ended up having the Mediterranean sandwich and it was actually pretty good. The humus was spicy, which I really enjoyed. BUT, I will not return unless I have no other options available because I paid MORE for my veggie-filled sandwich than what it would've cost me to order a meat-filled Pizza Melt. (Wasn't ready, offered me a drink while I waited) I get back to the office my order is completely wrong. First time at this location, it's close to work, coworkers have been before. Didn't have time to walk back. Quite frustrating. And to top it off the salad that was prepped wasn't even that good. Is this a joke? So..doctor that I work for says she will treat to lunch, call in an order, etc I ordered the spicy pork. Again not made correct. This place has to slow down when making orders. The service was great, the line went really fast considering it was long for the lunch rush hour. The place is super cute and overall a great atmosphere. They forgot the tomato despite asking me and me confirming which toppings I'd like... the girl was so rushed and checked out she obviously wasn't listening. This location in he heart of Sundance Square has street parking - that in itself can be a pain. But if you work downtown, you can just walk there. If you're trying to order from this location through a delivery app, I wouldn't bother, they are the only store I've had consistent problems with. Most of the time they won't acknowledge the order and then you're left in limbo waiting for something to happen. I tried twice to order something today on Doordash and both times I was left in a "confirming order" state for about 15 minutes each. My sister ordered a little after my first attempt (smaller order only consisting of macaroni and a soda) and it was accepted right away. I understand a mess up every once in a while, especially if they are busy, but this is starting to be a constant problem. We have potbellys galore at home, (both kinds) but we do not have live music! How did that happen? Are the owners of our stores cheap? Is this owner generous? The angus beef, THE SALAMI, the ham and best of all THE zestiest HOT PEPPERS in the world. From that date till today I seem to involuntarily use that tasteful, zestful 5 minutes of heavenly bliss as a benchmark for any sandwich I try. Some came close but none went past. The sandwich might have been forgotten by my mouth but it definitely left that impact on my mind which once in a while reminds my mouth by sending a barrage of saliva when the thought passes it. This is my "go to" place for a quick and easy lunch. They are located just a block away from my office, so it's an easy walk there and back. The menu has a large selection of sandwich choices and I really appreciate the skinny options, but you can order any of their sandwiches on the skinny bread! The skinny with the soup is a great deal, and I've enjoyed most of the soups. The chili might benefit from a recipe makeover. The salads are also a great choice, fresh and tasty. I've tried the fruit smoothie and thought it was really good as well. We go here quite often from the office and I've always been satisfied with the taste and portions. The staff is always friendly and they try to get you through the line as fast as possible. It is a popular place and the lunch hour does get busy. We order from this Potbelly pretty often but this week they've outdone themselves! I ordered a meal with chips and everything tasted delicious as usual. However, when I opened my bag of chips, they weren't crunchy and were so oily I couldn't eat about half of them. So I called Potbelly to let them know they might want to pull them off the shelf and send them back to their vendor. They apologized several times and then offered to comp my next meal.
