One of the coolest Sandwich Shops I've ever been too! All the decor inside, is of a Firehouse Station. As soon as you walk in, you quickly notice the restaurant resembles a Fire Station. The have a Fireman's Uniform on display, the tables are Dalmatian print to symbolize the dog at a Fire Station station, red buckets are by the cashier to help you remember they use buckets to put the fires out too, they also have rectangled windows that you would find on a Bunk Room. I was greeted right away by a Hispanic Female. She had a thick accent but was really nice. She told me to take my time since it was my first time here. The crew was all Hispanic. They had the place kept clean. I ordered a small Turkey Sandwich but, she gave me a Medium Sized Sandwich? I ordered a gluten free bread but was charged a 1.00 more . I didn't see that it would cost more and she didn't explain that either. The bread was flavorless but, full filling. I didn't feel stuffed afterwards. My friends bread fell apart and got messy. Not sure what happened? The Turkey was sliced super thin with a thin serving of Turkey. There was a surplus of Shredded Lettuce, the Mayo was sweet, I prefer sliced Pickles vs a small Dill Spear. My Potato Soup was warm delicious, loaded with Chunks of Potatoes. The Oyster Crackers were some of the best I've had. I got two packs for a small bowl of soup. The have a Coca Cola Free Style Machine. I was able to try a few drinks. Coke Zero was ok. I tried a Vanilla Coke Zero. It was delicious. It tasted just like a Vanilla Coke. I also tried a new Flavor Called Tropical Coke Zero. It tasted sweet with a subtle taste of Cherry and Pineapple. Restrooms are clean. Prices are high. It was like $35.00 for two people? It was pretty busy with steady customers coming in. I would definitely recommend this place. I think the Kiddos would love this place. read more

Been going to the location on Altamere for about a year twice a week or so but recently it has become a bunch of rude sarcastic young mexican guys. I made the order at the counter the guy has this mocking kind of smirk on his face and some snide remarks. Went to pick it up when it was ready and another one of them says let's see you ordered double jalapeno's. Told him I had not and he smiled. Got back to my office and it has layers of jalapeno's. Decided not to go back but forgot about it a week or so later went again and they are laughing behind the counter and mocking the only other customer in the place in Spanish. Same sarcastic attitude when I ordered. Will never go there again. read more

Call to let them know both of my sandwiches were wrong, the guy goes to talk to his coworker, but in Spanish, where he is talking crap my wife over Here's cause she can understand what he's saying cause she's Hispanic and finds what he says disrespectful.. They don't help their coworkers out the guy that was taking my order was new and the guy that was rude was just staring at him. Did not even offer to help him. They never have a manager on duty. So if you wanna go here to eat, but want friendly service, you won't find it. The dude was an asshole!!! read more

Talk about a pleasant surprise. This new Firehouse Subs location just went in near my home. I've heard their ads before, but the only one I knew of was pretty far away and I'd never had a chance to try them. So we stopped in last night while doing some errands to try the new place out. I am so glad that we did. My kid tried the Meatball sub which looked (and smelled) amazing. I'll be getting that one next time I visit. I tried the "Hero" sub and it was so fresh, so tasty, and just the right amount of seasoning and dressing. The bread was fresh and toasty and the veggies crisp and bursting with flavor. It was delicious. Top it off with a Coke Freestyle machine for soda and there was just an awful lot to enjoy at this new location. I have a rule that I never give a 5 star review on a first visit. No matter how good a place is, you just never know on one visit if you're getting the normal, or a lucky aberration. That said, I am eager to try Firehouse again and I fully expect they'll have no trouble earning that fifth star on my follow-up visit. Last night may have been the best sub I've ever tried. I've been to Subway, to Quizno's, to Blimpy, to WhichWich, as well as some local non-chain sub places around the metroplex over the years and I honestly can't recall enjoying any of them more than last night's trip to Firehouse. I may go back tonight for a second day in a row! Thanks Firehouse Subs! UPDATE: I did end up going back a day later after writing this. I got my second meal to bring home so I could see if the food travels well. Happy to say that even taking it home, it was still fresh and delicious and well worth adding that extra star. Understaffed and slow as hell. Order 30 min ago, still waiting. There's no one in here, this freaking ridiculous.

This location exceeded my expectations. I placed an order online and specified what type of chips and drink I wanted. Upon receiving my receipt - it said that I would still have to choose my own chips and drink. To my surprise - I walk in 5 minutes early and there is my order on the to-go rack...WITH my chips and drink that the e-mail said wouldn't be fulfilled by anyone else but me. It may not seem like much to others. But for me, the little attention to details/requests really shows how some employees and establishments go above and beyond with their customer service. Finally - the added bonus of having the rewards app is beneficial, too. Always look forward to free treats in the future! read more

The best Firehouse Subs I have been to. I eat lunch here frequently and have never had less than excellent service. The wait can be long at lunchtime due to the close proximity to a military installation, but the consistently great food and equally consistent great service make it every bit worth it. read more

So my fiancé and I always passed this place we figured it's just another subway so let's just go there to get our $5.00 foot long instead of stopping at firehouse subs! Well today is the day we tried firehouse subs and we were pleasantly surprised the store is very clean and does not have a funky bread smell like subway! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff and a lovely lady named "Leslie" greeted us with a smile at the register which made the world of difference and she was very patient with us since we were so indecisive what to order we settled on a #9 for the "Mr" a firehouse "hero" sub and #6 the club on the sub for myself! I'm writing this review while we are seating here and my fiancés sub is demolished he really enjoyed it! The bread is extremely fresh and a bit flaky on the top the ingredients are fresh because no one likes slimy toppings and the portions of the meat is not skimpy like subway! But let me add they have a plethora of hot sauces I was a kid in a candy store I tried at least 4 different hot sauces to compliment my sandwich ( which it didn't need)! Can't stress the importance of getting orders right, and this location has gotten my order right EVERY SINGLE TIME! I've probably been to this location like 10 times now (sorry for the lack of reviews) and every time I am greeted upon entering, the staff is always nice, accommodating, and quick. The last 3 or so times I've ordered online for the rapid rescue to-go my order has been fulfilled before the time I selected. I generally go here on lunch breaks and don't have much time except to zip in, grab the food, and get back to work. I usually show up a few minutes before the deadline of the order and it's always ready for me. This location is doing it right, keep it up! read more

We enjoy Firehouse Subs, and we always come at off times, so we have never really had to wait. This visit was no exception, as we were able to come right in and order. My wife and kids always get the meatball sub and like it, and my wife likes that she can get soup rather than chips. I have had trouble finding a sub I like, but I really like the fact that I can get a salad (for an extra charge, of course) rather than chips. My problem with the sandwiches is that they are heavy on the bread, meat, and cheese, but they always seem to be light on the other stuff. I guess I am strange in actually wanting a lot of toppings on my sandwiches. It's not a bad thing at all, as what I have gotten is always still good. Went in yesterday at around 12:30, counted 6 employees standing around waiting for order to come thru. What seemed to be a female manager was taking an order from a couple ahead of me. Manager had taken their order and was chit chatting to this couple at my expense. I stood there a total of 10 minutes before finally turning and leaving without lunch! I do love firehouse subs. I've tried many locations San Diego, Yuma, Fort Worth Hulen area and other places. But this location, I gave it some chances. The last 2 times we waited quite a long time. I understand it does take time but it was unusually longer. There was just one customer ahead of me and I can tell by her expression and body language she was not happy either. It was not a busy time too. No one was there but just us 2. And with this much time spending on making the sandwiches you would think it would be good... nope, one sandwich had hardly meat on half and my other was drenched and soaked in sauce. But it takes 25 min to make 2 sandwiches. If it's not as fast as with just 2 people ordering, I can't imagine during lunch time. And we're near base. Smh. read more

THIS LOCATION SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF ITSELF. Located less than a one minute drive from a military base. I went in today because I highly support Firehouse subs. Every single location I've ever been to... and I travel all over the United States gives military and first responders the combo meal included with the price of a sandwich. This location only gives 10%. I am the first person that understands businesses that don't offer a military discount. However, Firehouse subs have made it very well known that they support the military and first responders. I am completely shocked that a location so close to a military base is only offering 10%. I am absolutely disgusted by the owner of this place. I will never return. And don't even think of writing me as away for me to change my review. I will not remove this review. TO THE OWNER... You should be ashamed to represent such a fantastic company like Firehouse subs. I hope the corporate office reads this. Every time I go here the staff is extremely nice. The food is of good quality and never disappoints. The hero sub is my favorite and then I get a little gator sauce to put on the sub to give it a little spice. This place is across the street from the base as well and they have a pretty good military discount that pretty much gets you a bag of chips and drink for free! I love this place. Everyone greets you when you walk in. The idea of this place is just neat. Every sub I have tried is delicious. They have every hot sauce you could think of, and ones you never heard of. Friendly and fast to serve. The sandwiches are great, and the veggies are always so fresh. It is a toss up between the meatball sub and the club on a sub! Both are DELICIOUS!!!
