    Authentic Italian 6"

Great sub spot! The staff were very friendly, split a 12" it was delicious! Plenty of space to eat inside but we took our subs down to Sundance square and picnicked instead.

    6" Cajun for $9

Clean, spacious interior. Sandwich was fresh and full of flavor. Bread was amazing. Service was friendly but very slow, especially for a quick serve sandwich shop type of place like this and ordered to-go. Paid $9 for just a 6" sub with no sides which I thought was too high for the value received.

Cheeseburger Sub I had to add cheese and grill the onions at home.

This particular spot is a deli sandwich place; they do have some standout choices, but I was craving tuna, so I ordered their Pacific Blue (Tuna Melt). Loved that they toasted the buns; it was good but didn't wow me. They skimped on the cheese and didn't add the jalapeños I requested. Service was incredibly slow, but there was a huge rush-hour crowd, so I'll overlook it. All in all, the theme is cool. Loved that they had vendors and music available the day we went; it gave us an opportunity to have something to do while we waited. I did spot board games, but naturally didn't think we'd need them. The goo ball was overly buttery and definitely had peanut butter. It was good for the first couple of bites but I quickly tossed it afterward once it became too much. If a deli is your thing, give it a try. I'm sure on any other given day they'd be better at delivering a sandwich with everything.

The menu was quite different and (again) I should have studied up on yelp to see the offerings before going. It took me a minute to read through the menu to decide what I wanted. The closest I saw to an Italian (didn't see La Canna) was the 5-0 so I cut the bacon and it was pretty good. My husband got the G-13 and really liked it. What surprised us was finding a full bar inside the sub shop! (A full bar with Blanton's!) And they're open until midnight! The manager came over and talked to us for a while. She was super nice and told us all about the chain and that location. They have parking out back and you have to scan a QR code the when you go inside to order you can validate for free parking with their QR code inside. Or you can just find street parking right behind the lot. We left happy with full tummies. We will go back!

Normally, I don't consider people from St. Louis to be credible deli evaluators, but I was desperate and made the hour drive to Grapevine. We got there at 11:15 and the line was nearly to the door. Within 30 minutes, it was well out into the street. That was a promising sign. The sandwich menu covered the entire wall over the counter. Lots of non-New-York sandwiches like Cubans, gyros, etc, but over in the left corner were the classic Ruebens and pastramis. I went for the latter. A REAL NY deli usually has a few soups like split pea and chicken noodle and matzoh. No soups. Bummer. They had a half dozen sides - 3 kinds of potato salads and a few slaws. I went with the German potato salad. The drink option was spartan - they tossed a styrofoam cup at me and pointed to the soda fountain. The pastrami sandwich was OK for Texas. A SUPER pastrami sandwich on hard rye can get me moaning like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally" -- only I don't have to fake it. The German potato salad was watery and bland - I should have gone with the mustard potato salad. Turnaround was on the slow side. Napkins = paper towel roll on table. Flimsy plasticware. The overall vibe was affordable utilitarian. I'll give the sandwich a 4, everything else a 3. Next time I'll drive the extra half hour to Cindi's.

Thin layer of egg, turkey & bacon. Came with some grapes. I appreciate that I wasn't full when done, had room for gelato although we didn't get any. Will get chips next time or add side salad. When we got home, we realized they had swapped the breads on our sandwiches and put pepper jack on both. After switching the bread myself, I had to add my own tomato and onion because apparently no toppings are included or if they are they forgot to put them in the bag. The pumpernickel was also incredibly thin and the crust was thicker than the actual slice of bread. The chicken was stringy, had a strange texture, and honestly tasted like something you'd get in a hospital cafeteria. We also ordered the potato salad, which had one of the oddest flavors we've ever tasted, and the cucumber salad was anything but fresh. 2 bites of each and threw in the trash. The cucumber slices were wilted, soft, and tasted like they had been sitting for days. The only thing we actually enjoyed was the lemon bar. I honestly could have saved my money and made a much better sandwich at home. I don't understand the hype, and unfortunately, we won't be back.

Visiting Texas for the first time and the amount of people walking around with brown paper bags…read morewith "potbelly" on them was a dead giveaway that I needed to check this place out. Like any typical counter service sub place, you tell the first person your order and style of bread, then move down the line to go over any toppings or modifications, and then by the time you hit the cashier, your food is pretty much done - talk about speedy service! They have a variety of designed options in hot and cold versions and then they have a list of basics for you to build your own. I chose the hot Mediterranean which was chicken, artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, feta cheese, and spicy hummus. I love all of those ingredients so it was a no brainer that I needed to pick that option. The sub was a little soggy/sloppy towards the end since the peppers and artichoke hearts typically carry a lot of liquid, so this wouldn't be a sub I'd recommend to hold onto or save as leftovers. The mess on my hands and face was totally worth it - it was a delicious sandwich and so filling I didn't get hungry for many hours afterwards! Bummed they don't have a Potbelly in my hometown!
