It was the sweetest thing and completely unexpected. So I went in there about a year ago, and the first time in - I wanted to order the pig in blankets. There were only 4 left. The young lady went to the back to see if they had more. She came back and told me that she was sorry that they did not have any more and she could not sell me the last four. The boss was going to take them home. I got CHANDLERS CHOICE - turkey, provolone, thick cut bacon, spinach, onions & a delicious house-made ranch on top of their delicious sourdough bread. Perfection! Comes with a yummy ranch pickle. (Believe they added ham to mine by mistake but it was tasty so I didn't mind). We also got THE ORIGINAL - chicken, ham, cheddar, mayo, spinach, tomatoes, pickles on their amazing sourdough bread. Served with an oregano pickle, We split a side of PESTO PASTA SALAD - a small bowl of chilled pasta covered in a basil pesto with tomatoes, kalamata olives & feta. We ended up bringing home with half a sandwich because we were stuffed. We got a house-made sea-salt chocolate chip cookie to eat later because they looked too good just to leave there. They have different types of seating. Mostly 4 tops, a counter with bar seating and plenty of electric outlets, a big comfy couch with coffee table, a large dinner table, & a small outdoor patio. I've now ordered from the sour boule a few times now, and can say I found my go-to bagel place! I've had their bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich, stuffed bagel, and the peach latte. I would definitely recommend the sandwich and the stuffed bagel. I love how the sandwich is customizable with many options. When ordering online, the meal is always ready on time and usually done before the set pick-up time. Inside, there are ample tables and chairs for people to sit at, and a spacious patio area too. You order when you walk in at the counter, pay, and then sit down. They do not accept tips, and the service was still good. We came on a Saturday early afternoon and there was a line stretching out the door. The glass case is full of delicious-looking treats to try. Standout is the stuffed bagel which is sliced in a star-shape and appears to be bursting with cream cheese filling. A small amount of seating is available inside, a bit more in an enclosed patio outside. There's not much of a view outside, but inside the room felt cheerful and full of natural light. Most of the customers we saw were taking items to go. If I could take half a star it would be for having a single register rather than two which made the ordering process longer than it had to be. The menu offers many choices for coffee, tea, and espresso drinks. The Affogato looked particularly interesting and European, but I did not get to try it. A yummy listing of soups, sides, and sandwiches are offered as well. I that's not enough, the breakfast menu boasts sourdough waffles, sourdough breakfast sandwich, and the one of a kind Sour Elvis, among other things. There are few bakery items, I would consider this more like a deli. We ordered the original and the one with cranberry, which were both delicious. We made our meals a combo, which includes chips and a drink. Their drink options are limited, sodas are in a can, which are Pepsi products, and tea. This is a cute and small owned business. It's cozy with simple menu items that have a twist. From coffee drinks, sandwiches and soup. It's a good variety. They do breakfast and lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have toys for kids to play with. It's quaint and small inside. I wish they were closer to where I lived. I would definitely visit more. OMG the pickle sandwich is so cool. It was really good. You can get any sandwich on the menu on pickle bread. I really enjoyed it, but I love pickles. Pregnant women would probably love this. I've been a follower of the sour boule on social media but never popped in. Today, I did and am giddy about it! Staff greeted me with a smile and had patience as I looked over their menu. I asked for their favorite savory and sweet items on the menu, and they recommended the banana pudding for sweet and the chandler's choice sandwich for savory. I decided on the peach cobbler cold brew, sour boule spicy sandwich on rosemary garlic, and the banana pudding. I was pleasantly surprised when they said they do have a decaf option! Woohoo, for decaf drinkers. I got it all to go intending to get on with my day, but it all looked so good, I sat and ate here. The sour boule spicy sandwich packs a punch of flavor!! I've found my new favorite deli sandwich. The rosemary garlic sourdough was wonderful. Crunchy crust and bouncy, soft bread. I loved the shaved lettuce with the spicy flavors. Top it off with a tajin pickle, and I'm going to be hooked. If you like spice, I highly recommend this sandwich! The staff did not lead me astray with the banana pudding. It was the best I've had. People have a tendency to make banana pudding really sweet, and this was light and balanced. Everything is homemade and delicious. As if this place couldn't be any more awesome, they also offer to round up your order and give to Alliance for Children, a non profit that protects Tarrant County children from child abuse through teamed investigations, healing services, and community education. They hope to move next door to the bigger space in September to serve even more guests. My cup was getting empty, and this place filled me with joy from the food and friendliness to their customers. DO NOT PASS ON THIS PLACE! I drive past this almost everyday and finally decided to stop in. To be honest, the name didn't really speak to me as I feel like it can be pronounced so many ways. Admittedly, I also thought they were a coffee shop that sold sourdough bread which seems like a weird combo. However, once I put all my preconceived ideas aside and decided to give this place a chance, I was SHOCKED in the best of ways. It was lunchtime, so I picked out a sandwich that the friendly staff recommended and it was a game changer! My picture isn't the best, but the flavors of this sandwich were 12 out of 10. The food is great here and the coffee tastes good but Everytime we come here they mess something up. There's been hair in our food, things don't come out, things take forever, they're out of things as soon as they open and we're there. There's staff is horribly trained. I ordered and iced coffee and they keep giving me lates. I tried to correct and say no o want and iced coffee a late has espresso. An employee at a coffee shop gave us a cup of ice and some milk to pour hot coffee over. It was the grossest thing ever obviously I didn't want this she said she'd take care of it I expected an iced coffee to come out. Also we don't get asked if we want sausage rolls heated up, they aren't good cold. I have to go back up and request in every time. I'd love to keep coming here but with mistakes and very time it's not worth it. Worst of all when I brought these mistake to the attention of the person at the counter she didn't even respond just completely ignored me. Don't spend money here unless you're willing to deal with everything I mentioned. We've been here 12 times trying to support a small business but you can only put up with so much. The Sour Boule (owned by Aledos own Lance Misner) is in Ft Worth located on the Weatherford Traffic Circle (soon to be where Edleweiss German Restaurant was once located). I had the Frito Pie with a half sandwich followed by some of the best pudding I've had in a very long time (not overly sweet and loaded with vanilla waffers). The chili was a tiny bit spicy (the way I like it) with Fritos and cornbread crumbs. My wife had The One with Waffle - Sausage, bacon, and egg on a waffle. Oh my golly gosh! We were in the area and I remembered seeing that they were planning to expand into part of the old Edelweiss so we decided to make a stop. Hubby loves sourdough bread, so he went in to snag a loaf and let me tell you, this is the BEST sourdough we have ever gotten in FW. It looked and smelled amazing, but the taste and texture were even better!!! It was chewy and oh so fresh. We will definitely be going back soon. I'd like to try some of their cookies & pastries too. I haven't been able find a good bagel breakfast sandwich in this area of Ft. Worth until now! Will definitely get again. The stuffed bagel: AMAZING.
