A 3.7-star overall for this joining is a damn CRIME, brother. I haven't had in-n-out in a minute, so maybe the taste buds were primed for this review - I don't know. I just ordered a 3x3 animal style, with animal style fries with extra sauce. Mannnnn they know how to make a freaking burger, dude. At this price point, there's not a single other chain in the US cranking out burgers that good, with that consistency. Their fries, as always, need some work, but the animal style covers a multitude of sins. That burger was so good I almost went back to buy another one for dessert. Try the 3x3 or even 4x4. Amazing service and food! The lady taking orders was standing out in the drive thru putting orders inside to the kitchen efficiently. Everything on that end went smoothly. Though I will point out that I did not like how crunchy the fries were and needed salt (bland). The burgers were perfect however!!! So the actual drive thru is very twisty and sharp, and you HAVE to be careful especially if you're lifted. There have been obviously many vehicles to hit the curb and scrape, there are marks everywhere as evidence. Be prepared for that! Also when you pull into the parking lot pedestrians are crossing over to their vehicles after eating outside, you have just got to be so careful. Anyway good visit, just stay aware. read more

My wife and I were in the South 7th area after an appointment, and we couldn't figure out what we wanted for lunch. Burgers sounded good and, low and behold, In-N-Out was coming up on 7th Street. Perfect! Since it was a bit after the normal lunch time run, there were no vehicles ahead of us in the drive-thru. I love the simplicity of In-N-Out's menu. You don't have to wade through a plethora of menu items to finally decide on what you're going to eat. It's burgers, plain and simple. I ordered a #2 and my wife ordered a #3. The associate at the "pay" window was friendly but efficient in processing our Apple Pay transaction. Quickly we moved right along to the pick-up window to receive our order. One of the things I really love about In-N-Out is the car tray they serve their food on if you indicate you're eating in the car. it's just so convenient and a lot less messy than digging your food out of paper bags. My family and I were visiting Fort Worth during a vacation/college tour through Texas. In and Out was on our bucket lists as a "must try" because everyone, except my dad, hadn't had it before. We all wanted to visit this iconic American burger joint because being from Virginia, we don't have any remotely near us. The location is great! It is located in a really nice, new, and vibrant area. It's located in the cultural district of Fort Worth. There was plenty of parking available that was specifically designated to In and Out diners. The interior is the classic red and white tiled In and Out design. It creates a retro vibe and creates a cool ambiance. It is clean and the staff was consistently cleaning tables after guests had finished eating. The staff was also very efficient in regards to preparing food, restocking the Chile peppers, napkins, etc. My mom, sister, and I each ordered the double-double animal style and my dad ordered the 4x4 animal style. My dad and I also got animal style fries and my sister got the regular fries. We accidentally ordered a regular double-double, not animal style, and ended up having to order another burger, not a big deal. In and Out prides themselves in their high quality ingredients and meat quality. And you can really taste the quality in the burgers. The double-double animal style includes 2 mustard fried burger patties, 2 slices of American cheese, fresh lettuce and tomato, grilled onions, pickles, and their special sauce. The ratio of the various ingredients included on the burger compliment eachother to create the perfect burger. There isn't too much cheese and the vegetables don't overpower the other flavors. I must note the bun is great too. I ordered my fries well-done to prevent them from being soggy, and they were nice and crispy! The animal style fries are topped with American cheese, special sauce, and grilled onions. Really unique and really flavorful, definitely recommend these over the regular fries! All in all, In and Out lived up to the hype and I wasn't disappointed. The food was super tasty and different from the various other burger chains in America. The flavors were awesome and the quality was there. While it was fast food, it wasn't too greasy and I didn't leave feeling overstuffed. The interior is well kept and clean. Usually, In N Out gives me Chick-fil-a vibes, extremely polite, bubbly, and uplifting. Well tonight I was pissed off so bad just by sheer rudeness that i'm here. We went through the driveway, the guy taking our order was great. First window quite literally laughed at our order, yes it was a bit of an odd one, but quite literally laughed at us and not in a laughing with us kind of way. The girl that gave us our order, a young latina was flat out rude. She immediately had the biggest attitude. We had to ask THREE separate times for spread. Didn't tell us which drink was which and when we asked she literally looked me in the face rolled her eyes and turned around and walked away. There's literally just no reason for that. I'm a first responder (EMS) on duty. Asked if they had a first responder discount. The cashier (Zander) said they only give it to police officers on duty in uniform. I said we are in uniform on duty on an ambulance doing over 12 hours and this was our first meal...he replied, "sorry that's just our policy." So I did not and will not eat here anymore since they do NOT support all first responders. Worst location of any I've ever visited. I'm a SoCal native and have been eating In-N-Out burgers for nearly 60 years. This store just skimps on everything. Partially empty baskets of fries that come out half raw, even if you order well done. Burgers with the tiniest piece of lettuce torn off a single leaf, and one small, paper-thin tomato slice. This is not how In-N-Out makes its burgers in SoCal. They're supposed to have a hefty chunk of crunchy lettuce and a couple of 1/4" thick tomato slices. Incredibly disappointing. Why even bother with toppings at all? They're nearly invisible and just disintegrate into the bun. Yuck. Not sure if they've just gotten so big that they can no longer provide adequate oversight of the out-of-state stores, or if there is just a problem with the manager of this particular location, but I wish they'd get it straightened out. I find myself avoiding it altogether, despite being walking distance away. It makes me really sad. read more

I've always like the taste of In and Out Burgers, the vegetables always taste fresh and the burgers have a decent seasoning on them. My only dislike is that the burgers have gotten small and the meat patties are super thin. Crazy thin! That may be why the burgers have such a vegetable taste to them. In N Out has some of the best fries and strawberry milkshakes around. Plus, their service is top notch. It's been a minute since I've been to this location, but I hope the older woman still works here. She was the best and probably the kindest cashier I've met. She took the time to ask me about my day and make sure I got everything I wanted on my meal. The burgers are good, the fries are addicting as heck, and the strawberry milkshakes are delectable. Be warned if you try to wait until you get home to eat your take out. The smell will intoxicate you and before you know it, you've eaten all your fries. It's a sad realization. You might as well turn around and get some more. I do want to clarify something. I've had the animal fries before but I much prefer the regular fries. The animal fries were too heavy for me. I love a bit of the old In Out. Named after what happens with most of our clients, this is a good and infamous and wildly popular burger chain, but a pretty disappointing location of it. That's what happens when you expand too much. Really nice employees and really good fast food. The In-N-Out locations in Texas are definitely done a good job so far. They have a mystique about them which is interesting. Now that you can get everything animal-style, I recommend that you do that. So I've only heard about this place being in California and Las Vegas, now I find out that it is here in Texas where I am so we decided that would be lunch today. Came in and placed our orders. Everything was pretty seamless. They handled beverage refills due to Covid-19 (no self serve). Everyone was nice pleasant. I ordered the double double with no tomato and with a pink lemonade. The pink lemonade was great, not that Minute Maid nonsense. The food was delicious , not gonna say the best burger ever but definitely good. Everything was cooked fresh, they give you a lot of fries and the meal isn't expensive as your mainstay restaurants. But the food is definitely better! The fries as i mentioned were cold so the cheese fries were just as cold making the cheese not the yummy and melted type but just a stack of cheese on a fries. Next the Famous Animal Style Fries, mid , i love caramelized onions but those tasted burnt, at least they were hot, moving on to the burger, everything felt and tasted cheap, the burger wasn't so hot as well, bread felt firm and un flavorful, and the in n out sauce whatever it is isn't good which doesn't help as well. read more

A fellow Californian and I came in on a Sunday afternoon before catching our flight out of Texas. We had no problem finding a parking spot. Upon walking inside, we were instantly transported back to California. The interior looks and feels EXACTLY THE SAME! The cashier was very friendly and helpful. I've seen my share of In and Out news within the past year; while in Fort Worth I decided to form my own opinion on whether I thought they should come to Austin. Cue Ol' Rooster's personal burger history! Never tried Five Guys or Carl's little; not that impressed with Mighty Fine with recent kudos to Wholly Cow. I tend to like hefty half pound cooked medium rare truck stop editions like Hill's and Creek Road Café. Rarely does a fast food burger notably make the scale until today. I found myself in FW with a car this time and noticed an establishment that I couldn't pass up. The fries even with the gentleman smashing the giant tater cutter were average. We stood for at least ten minutes waiting for table and thanks to the wife we finally sat down. I counted a dozen staffers in the back; a well oiled machine they were. Toasted bun, minimal ordering process although I should have googled "Animal Style". Best fast food burger in recent memory. Whole slice of onion, two tomato slices paired with the thousand island dressing was magnificent. Would I go back? I'd prefer a location to be a bit closer to home! My first impression was, "Dang, that's a short menu." (see photo) Basically burger, fries, drinks (which includes shakes). Next, I was surprised seeing an order of fries prepared with chili and onions. That is NOT on the menu. Apparently there are some "secret" items that can be ordered (rumor has it they can be found on the website). "Cool", I think, "Something for next time." So on the food, Thuy and I came to the same conclusion that as far as fast-food burgers go, this is a pretty good burger. Definitely better than the other mega chains. We saw that some don't like fries, but we liked them. While I know they came out of the deep fryer, they were anything but oily, in fact border line dry, more reminiscent of a shoe-string potato. On food along it would be a very solid three stars, but a couple of things set it apart from the rest of the pack. First, it's super clean. Even the outdoor tables, which is cool thing number two (plenty of outdoor searing), were clean.
