So let me begin May 31 12:15 PM I slayed an order for pick up from Five Guys. I walked into the store and there were two people sitting at a table. There was one other person at the soda machine and there were four employees in the kitchen cooking food. I walked up to the pick up counter and inquired that James was here for his pick up order and she indicated to me that would be a couple minutes on the fries which I actually kind of appreciated because that way I knew they'd be hot when they got put in the bag. I decided to stand there and observe the short order to cook at the grill as he was making the burgers he pulled the burgers from the drawer, placed them on the grill season them, and they proceeded to cook. He flipped him over about halfway through and then began to smash the patties with all his might with the spatula, and you could see the juice oozing out of the burgers onto the grill, he then flipped them over again and did the same thing again once again mashing as hard as he could, until the juice completely used out of the side somewhere in that process, he then took the burgers placed them on the buns which one was plain one had mayonnaise on it, and they proceeded to wrap them up and put them in the bag in about 30 seconds later she proceeded to put the fries in the bags, and I took my order out of the store once I got home which was about 6 1/2 minutes unfolded my burgers I noticed that the patties were spread out a little more than usual for a Five Guys. Patty proceeded to bite into the burger after I put my condiments on it at home thus realizing at this point, the burger was dry as a bone, because all the juice that it obviously assist with adding flavor to the burger was gone on the other hand the fries were great, so I suggest would be is remove all the signs that say juiciest from all your advertising the second thing would be is called it smash guys instead of five guys. I think that will go a long way and satisfying those individual individuals who now on a regular basis complain that your fries are too expensive, but that's your burgers cost too much and I would agree with the burger because if it's gonna be that dry, you know what I'll make my own at home. $11.29 for just a regular-a$$ single-patty burger? It wasn't that big and to be honest...had almost no flavor. The hot dog was legit and this is, in my opinion, the only reason to come here. Love me some 5 Guys burgers and fries! The hit fresh burgers are some if my absolute favorites! I love the juiciness of the meat, surrounded by fresh cooked toppings like mushrooms and jalapeños wrapped around a soft bun. The fries are the bomb! Add the seasoning and you wont be disappointed. Tonight my daughter and I decided that a burger and a hotdog sounded good for supper. 5 guys here we come. I have to admit it's probably been about 9 months since we have been there. We ordered a hot dog plain and dry, a cheeseburger, small fry, and a small drink. Over $30 with tip. A short while later we got our food. I opened up the hotdog for her to find a smashed bun ripped in two pieces. Pull out the fries and there is a half full container so I check the bag to see if they spilled. 5 fries in the bottom of the bag. All this to say I understand that food costs have gone up. That's reasonable. But $7 for a hotdog that can't have a food cost of more than $2. $3 for a 20 ounce soda $5 for a small fry $13 for a burger Hope it was worth it 5 guys. You got me this time but I'll never be back. I'll go down the road to a place that offers a kids hotdog meal with fries and a drink for less money. Five Guys is a pretty good burger. Feels like it's expensive for what you get, but it's quick, a little better than a drive through burger, and their fries are where it's at. If you didn't know they don't use frozen fries, they have them cut from fresh potatoes and sitting in cool water until they're fried. They're the real deal. read more

I just dined at the most filthy, nasty location (4833 S Hulen St, Fort Worth, TX 76132) I have ever seen. I'm contacting corporate and the health inspector in DFW. It's also a homeless hang out. Every table was filthy, crusted over floors and general nastiness. Bathroom is disgusting. I can't imagine what goes on when nobody is looking! Dead eyed, lazy employees. No napkins available. Homeless going in and out of the bathroom (likely doing drugs) NEVER AGAIN! Not a place fit for human consumption. A shame because Five Guys is usually delicious. First of all, anyone who knows me knows my favorite fries are McDonald's. They're the best. I've always thought Five Guys is a close second. I decided to finally do the drive, 10 miles - 25 minutes, and give this Five Guys a try. I hadn't had Five Guys since last year in San Marcos California. Greeted with a friendly worker who took our order. I don't know if it's just this store or all Texas stores, but when in California and you order a regular size fry, the size of serving you get is usually generous. Not this place. Not worth the price. I know prices are going up, but 3 small burgers, a hot dog, one regular fries and 4 medium drinks was $57 dollars. Also we ended up getting two shakes for $12 more. To make matters worse we sent my 12 year old son up to pay for the shakes and the cashier gave herself a 10% tip. The worst though was the roach crawling across the front of the ice tea machine. I kept hearing about this place from my little cousin. I dont know if you can imagine an 8 year old rambling about a burger place like it was the new Chuck E. Cheese. So I tried it out after work one day and since it was new in town, I believe I wasn't the only curious person as it was pretty busy. It's pretty fast paced inside. What I really like about this place is how different it is. You walk in and you can choose from almost any type of topping you want on your burger, for free. So if you are in a mood for a sloppy burger, here you go - cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms, peppers, A1 sauce, and more, all piled on top of your burger (the toppings I listed there are what I usually go with, hehe). It's also pretty good that the little cheeseburger or hamburger is a single patty and the regular sizes have a double patties. They also have peanuts you can take with you or eat there while you wait. This particular location has a lot of soda and juice options which is great to me because I don't drink soda at all. I like five guys and I've eaten them every now and again though the years. I could make this a regular meal if the prices weren't so much higher for not much more quality. I mean, jack and the box is stepping it up on their burgers lol The reason I still stop in from time to time is the fries. I do love the fries. Overall this place isn't any worse than I've been to. I gave this place two stars because the fries were good. Not great...just good, but they had way too much salt. The burger patty had no flavor and was dry and overcooked. They advertise a "juicy" burger but it's not juicy, it's just wet because they load it up with wet lettuce and toppings making the bun too soggy to hold up. My two biggest issues weren't the bland, soggy burger or the way-too-salty fries. They were, in this order, the price and the smell. I spent $14.00 for a small burger, small fries and a small diet coke. Much better food for half the price just down the road at Whataburger or In-N-Out. And neither of those smell like you're sitting in a "porta-potty". The floor is slick with grease. I assume that's part of the foul smell. It's 12:30 PM - the middle of the lunch "rush". Came in today for a 5 Guys burger. I ordered a double patty cheeseburger with toppings. My order took 20-30 mins to make and all i ordered was a cheeseburger and some fries. It wasn't even busy on the inside either. My burger was soggy as well as my fries when i made it home. The bun was falling apart and the burger itself was prob warm at best. The fries were soggy and limp. Im pretty sure the person who was adding the topping let the burgers sit. There were 2 other people who ordered behind me, yet their orders came out with mine. Mind you, i was there a while before they came in. The last 10mins of my wait i noticed there were no burgers on the grill and no fries in the fryer. One of the workers noticed me still sitting with no food and asked what order number i had. I told the worker and they motioned over to I guess who was the packing person of the orders. 2 mins later, they appear with 3 bags of food. My bag and the 2 customers who came in after i did. Maybe I'm bias because I'm from Atlanta and my first 5 Guys experience was out there. That order took like 10 mins to make. 2 Burgers and 2 orders of fries. Last time going to this location. It's amazing that after I read two reviews about how nasty this place is and after a month clearly management does not care. My first time coming to a Five Guys but my friend who came with said this lack of cleanliness is unusual for this chain. Sticky chairs ... tables have not been wiped down for a long time clearly. And now... drum roll ... the hamburgers. Well - as aforementioned I guess this joint is not the same as most Five Guys because the burger was not season at all - not even salt and pepper ! And the cheese on the cheeseburger was cold and not melted ! Veges were all really fresh and the French fries are very good. Whoah! It's finally open! When you go in, you have to walk around the boxes of open peanuts. Stamped all over the walls are drooling testaments to all the rave reviews it's gotten, fake newspaper clippings, you know the sort. Small menu! (But that's fine-- remember, you're paying extra to NOT eat at Jack in the Box). The food is awesome. There's an array of toppings for your burger/dog, and half of them are in black so you can get them all on it at once for streamlining purposes (mushrooms, grilled onions plus etc standards like lettuce and tomato). Fries are two choices: Five Guys and Cajun Style (I opted for the former-- it seemed like it would have less sodium). Five Guys Style is thick, hand cut, salty and swimming in oil. Mm. One order was enough to split between us. We both got cheeseburgers (his with bacon), we shared the fries, and the two teas was almost twenty bucks ($19.44). Our burgers were both double patty, so I noted that the "small cheeseburger" is probably what I meant to order. Nevertheless, these things are MONSTROUS! Hot, wrapped in foil, and oozing ingredients. I mean, sure it took awhile, but I don't think anyone can complain when the entire cooking process is easily observable by your hungry eyes. They don't make it 'til you order it (yes, I know JIB owns that one), the assembly line creates it, and then it's served out onto a big red and white tile counter. And this place is CLEAN. Seriously, sparkling. No employees were idle-- it looked like everyone was busy (we even remarked about how there were more employees than customers) and they were swarming in cleaning the place, making the food, or taking orders. They have little burgers and burgers. The little has one patty and the burgers have two. It's a decent burger, however they need to acquire some swiss or pepperjack cheese besides American... or maybe it's cheddar? They have plenty of toppings for free to choose from, but I rather have swiss cheese with my mushroom on a burger. My kids love the cheese dogs. They are pretty good.
