    Indian taco
    Amy W.

HOLEY MOLEY. This is one of the best burgers I ever had. We were taking a trip to pick up something off FB marketplace...and if we are driving to Fort Worth, you can bet your bottom dollar I am going to find a fun place to eat while we are there. I had this place bookmarked and knew they were known for 2 things: a cheeseburger with grilled onions, and an Indian taco (which I really think they should change the name to "puffy taco" or Native American taco...) Anyhoo--I will dream about that burger, the cheese was so melty and the crispy-edged thin patties were divine, and oooooh..those charred/ caramelized thinly cut onions...it was a guy bomb for sure, and not one iota of this thing was healthy, but wow, it was fantastic. The Indian taco was also great, and I would go on and on and rave about it, but for 2 things: The burger eclipsed it, and it gets soggy pretty fast, I wonder if you could ask for it "deconstructed" and then assemble bites as you go with the beef, sauce, lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes...It would be pretty messy, but I bet it would be even better than it was. We didn't get any sides, but were were contemplating the onion rings, and a nice lady heard us chatting about ordering them, and offered me one of hers, --they were good, but it was breaded rather than battered (the superior version of an onion ring) The fries did look good, and they looked like they were made from fresh potatoes rather than frozen. Note there is no inside seating, so beware in the summer. The bathroom was fine and clean. I asked for a refill of soda and they happily obliged. They prefer cash, but will begrudgingly take a credit card.

This place is awesome. Delicious, fast food perfect for after an evening of drinks at the Stockyard. I got a grilled cheese and fries. Grilled cheese was made correctly with both sides of the Texas toast grilled. I heard another woman say her go to was grilled cheese after I already had mine. Fries were thin cut and yummy. Others in my group got burgers, tots and onion rings. Nothing was left behind! In fact, we wended up getting two Indian sundaes to share. What's an Indian sundae? Great question. It's fried bread with ice cream, syrup, whipped cream and a cherry. Every bit was eaten. Service was friendly and, like I mentioned before, food came out quickly which is important

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. Hookers is tucked away in a small alley/offshoot a bit away from the main hustle and bustle of the Fort Worth Stockyards but they have fantastic food - primarily a burger joint although there were some other options on the menu. Their signature addition is fried onions, pickles, and mustard on the burger. I'm not a huge pickles or mustard fan but my goodness, the onions were delicious. The fries are hand cut and seasoned and also incredible. Overall, would certainly go back and would 100% recommend!

We were drawn here by the good reviews and the even better name. I'll come back because of the great service and delicious food. We ate upstairs while listening to some great music. I'm a huge fan of black pepper, so I loved the fries. Give this place a chance!

    Is there indoor seating?

There's covered seating but it's more of a pavilion than truly indoor seating

I heard they have reopened as of December 2021. Is this true?

    Yes they have

So where are they located as of August 2020.? Food hall or back in the old location

    In the Stockyards

    Anything gluten free?

I only see the French fries. I don't see a gluten free bun, but I think they would wrap your burger in lettuce.

This particular spot is a deli sandwich place; they do have some standout choices, but I was craving tuna, so I ordered their Pacific Blue (Tuna Melt). Loved that they toasted the buns; it was good but didn't wow me. They skimped on the cheese and didn't add the jalapeños I requested. Service was incredibly slow, but there was a huge rush-hour crowd, so I'll overlook it. All in all, the theme is cool. Loved that they had vendors and music available the day we went; it gave us an opportunity to have something to do while we waited. I did spot board games, but naturally didn't think we'd need them. The goo ball was overly buttery and definitely had peanut butter. It was good for the first couple of bites but I quickly tossed it afterward once it became too much. If a deli is your thing, give it a try. I'm sure on any other given day they'd be better at delivering a sandwich with everything.

The menu was quite different and (again) I should have studied up on yelp to see the offerings before going. It took me a minute to read through the menu to decide what I wanted. The closest I saw to an Italian (didn't see La Canna) was the 5-0 so I cut the bacon and it was pretty good. My husband got the G-13 and really liked it. What surprised us was finding a full bar inside the sub shop! (A full bar with Blanton's!) And they're open until midnight! The manager came over and talked to us for a while. She was super nice and told us all about the chain and that location. They have parking out back and you have to scan a QR code the when you go inside to order you can validate for free parking with their QR code inside. Or you can just find street parking right behind the lot. We left happy with full tummies. We will go back!

The food was pretty decent! The catfish strips were rolled in cornmeal and fried well--nice and crispy without being overly greasy. I've eaten a lot of tacos in my time. But some bites have a way of humbling you. This one did. I ordered the street tacos with barbacoa. Corn tortillas layered with melted cheese, another tortilla laid gently on top, then crowned with rich, slow-cooked meat. Simple ingredients, intentional hands. The first bite landed heavy -- comforting, soulful, and loud in all the right ways. These tacos slapped harder than Babe Ruth sending one out of the park. And the real kicker? The smile on her face as she watched me take that first bite -- the kind that says, "I told you so," without needing to say a word. She knew she was right. The service matched the food -- warm, polite, unhurried. That small-town kind of kindness where you're treated like you belong, even if it's your first time through the door. No rush, no attitude, just genuine care. Some places feed you. Others stay with you. Taqueria Temo does both. I'll be back.

It's a casual burger-and-shake spot with a small live music stage, making it feel more like a laid-back hangout than a traditional restaurant. On this visit, I ordered the Double Love Burger along with a side of fries and onion rings. The food was good, but the kitchen was clearly backed up, resulting in a longer-than-expected wait. They'll call your order number over the loudspeaker when it's ready, but with the crowd and noise level, hearing it can be a challenge. The restaurant is spread across three levels. The main floor is where you place your order, pick up your food, and access the restrooms. One level down is the live music stage area with additional seating, while the upper level offers even more tables and chairs. The best way I can describe Love Shack is that it feels like a dystopian saloon dropped into the middle of the Wild West. It's quirky, energetic, a little chaotic, and somehow that all works together to create a unique experience.
