Went to Ampersand with a few friends and ended up staying for about 3 hours. The matcha was decent and honestly pretty good for a $7 matcha. My biggest gripe is the parking. If you don't get one of the free spots right in front, you have to pay, on the weekend it was free for the first 2 hours. Paying for parking is always a deal breaker for me when it comes to grabbing a matcha. Also, they played Disney Channel-type music pretty much the entire 3 hours we were there. A little more variety would've been nice. Even some calm lo-fi music would've fit better since most people were studying or catching up with friends. It was just a little distracting after a while. That said, I'd still come back, especially since they have events here pretty regularly.
Cute little coffe shop with in and outdoor seating right on the edge of the cultural district! Coffee shop by day, bar/lounge by night! Great concept and the name makes total sense once you really think about it! I got the vanilla shakerito and really enjoyed it! Staff worked quick to keep things going. Modern decor throughout. Will 100% return if i'm ever back In the area!
IDK, I just thought the vibe of this place was a little off for us. The rather strange combination of sunny patio, small indoor area, and dark bar left us yearning for a real cafe. The coffee was just ok. Parking is all metered from what we could see. Sadly...Not worth returning.
This was my first time visiting Ampersand and I really like the concept of a coffee shop by day and a cocktail bar by night I was even more excited by the fact that they had Vietnamese iced coffee on their menu as not a lot of coffee shops offer this. To my surprise, however, it did not taste anything like Vietnamese iced coffee. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't terrible, but it definitely did not taste like Vietnamese iced coffee. It sort of had a slightly mocha/vanilla flavor to it, if I'm being completely honest. The baristas were kind and friendly. The ambience of this coffee shop was very cute during the day. They also have plenty of outdoor seating available. I could see myself coming back and trying a different beverage on the menu.
Another day, another coffee joint with my sister. This time, it happened to have the same name as my favorite ice cream spot, so why not? The shop itself was a lot bigger than I expected. Plenty of seats outside, a few in the front where you order, and a whole back area that looked like a bar lounge-- I guess that's what it is?... Aesthetically? They could do better back there. The front area and outside is cute though. My favorite part was the wall area with the sign that I took a photo of my drinks at. Staff-- not the friendliest bunch really, but the girl that helped us did her job. We did have a little miscommunication mishap for my order but she took care of it. Granted, they did make me feel pretty awkward correcting the mistake but she got it done. The other two just stared at me and made me feel dumb... but, I'm glad I didn't just let it go and got what I originally wanted. I paid for it, and it's their job. Not trying to sound mean but people tend to hate doing what they're paid to do nowadays and I shouldn't feel bad having to ask for what I paid for done correctly. It was between the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew or the Pumpkin Chai Latte for me and I asked her which would be better... I wanted sweet, but not too sweet... somehow, that lead to her putting me down for a plain, not-sweet-at-all latte.......... clearly, my two options were Pumpkin though, right? Idk... Anyway, I got two drinks. I also got the Vietnamese coffee. My sister got two drinks as well, the Cinnamon Roll Latte and the Strawberry Fields. Once I did get my Pumpkin Chai, it was good. Not the best thing I've ever had but so much better than the plain, flavorless Latte. The Vietnamese coffee was okay, I've had better honestly... I didn't finish it. It wasn't strong, and it was very sweet. As for my sister's drinks, I can't speak for her on the Strawberry Fields, but I did take a sip of the Cinnamon Roll drink-- eesh, waaay too sweet! Definitely tasted like a Cinnamon Roll though... but I'd rather take that sweetness from an actual Cinnamon Roll. All in all, I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back here but if my sister suggested it again on my next visit, I wouldn't completely write them off. I'd give it another go. I'm sorry, I just can't put my rating up there until they've proven otherwise.
Honestly, this coffee spot feels more like hype than substance. The menu leans very over-the-top, so I started simple with a cortado -- and it was honestly just way too bitter, not at all balanced like I'd expect. I genuinely enjoy cortados, and I just could not handle this one. Service was slow, but to be fair the line was just as long, so that part is understandable. The one thing that really stood out was the ambiance though -- genuinely amazing, especially that quieter back area. I can definitely see myself going there just to study.
This is a very lovely coffee spot in Fort Worth for grabbing a creative coffee drink and relaxing on its outdoor patio space. We stopped by while in the DFW area one afternoon, and it was quite bustling inside and a bit of a wait to place our order! All the baristas were working hard and getting everyone's order out, however, and I thoroughly enjoyed my Banana Milk Matcha Latte once I got it! Very creative flavors, with none being overpowering and it all subtly complementing this lovely drink. We relaxed on the patio outside of the cafe for a bit - it's in one of those up-and-coming/gentrifying areas of Fort Worth, so at the moment there's just an empty field on the other side of the street, but I bet it'll soon be filled in. All in all, a great spot to stop by if in the area! Clean, modern, and high quality drinks!
Mid. I would describe this coffee as not great and not the worst I have had. But, they were open at 7am. What tipped me over to two stars: They sold yogurt but had no spoons and that was apparently my personal problem. I was staying at a nearby hotel and luckily a person that worked at the hotel helped give me a spoon. Please don't sell yogurt if you don't intend to stock some sort of eating utensil. Finally, my feedback on what is perhaps just not realizing that your customers would buy stickers with the ampersand symbol vs. "ampersand" just repeated over and over in a wavy font. Please make better merchandise.
Highly recommend their coffee lattes! I got the shaken signature toasted coconut latte, and it was so incredibly flavorful. Best iced latte I've had for a minute. Line was quite long Saturday early afternoon, but service was super fast and helpful! Immediately after ordering, we were next to receive our drinks. Lots of places to sit and lounge after ordering. Definitely can't wait to be back.
I've heard so many good things about Ampersand, so I decided to stop by for a chai and to get some work done. Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed as I hoped to be. This place is both a coffee shop and a bar. I visited on a Friday afternoon for the coffee shop side, and it wasn't my cup of tea. I wasn't a huge fan of the chai. It tasted rather too sweet instead of being as spicy and ginger-y as I like. I did like the moody, dim lighting for the vibes of getting work done though. Most people here were doing work, so it wasn't noisy in that regard. The music was pretty loud though. I could hear it through my noise-cancelling airpods and felt the vibration in the couches. Service was pretty standard. There's a tiny lot in the back with free parking. There's also parking in the front that you have to pay for. Overall, I wish I enjoyed my first visit to Ampersand, considering many of my friends have said good things about it. Don't let my review sway you though, this may just not be my place!
Really good coffee and many options to choose from. Friendly service. They have a huge area inside where you can sip your coffee and do work.
This was my first time at this coffee shop, but not my last. I loved that they had parking right in front of the store. Because in this area, sometimes parking is hard to find. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted, and I told the staff, it was my first time there, and they helped me with a drink recommendation. They recommended the black honey coffee as I don't like super sweet coffee and this was a great recommendation. It has charcoal and honey in it. But it was very tasty and just a touch of sweet. They have a full menu of cold and hot drinks. I will definitely come back and try more in the future. If you're hungry, they have a taco restaurant right next door, I saw a lot of customers going back-and-forth. I love that they have seating inside and they also have a large patio to sit at as well. Great place to hang out.
This is BEST COFFEE EVER! Such a vibe to enter in and be welcome! The customer service is phenomenal! They even remembered me and my order! Seriously not overreacting, SUCH GOOD COFFEE!!!
We decided to come here to journal over a weekend for an event. It was moderately busy, and parking was kind of annoying because we had to pay. The front area house the coffee shop and the back is a kind of dimly lit bar area for when it transitions into a club I think? We were there about two to three hours and my number one note (besides how dark it was) was the odd music choice they played strictly Disney songs almost the entire time. There were no children in there so it was just kind of odd, and annoying. For the coffee, I was pretty disappointed it just had lots of cinnamon, it didn't really taste like cinnamon and wasn't all that sweet. I was interested in visiting after seeing the airport location and hearing rave reviews but I'd just stop on my next flight to give them another shot and wouldn't come back here. read more

My friends and I came on a Sunday morning to do some journaling at this coffee shop/ bar lounge. We liked their drinks, but there were a lot of flies in the coffee shop area and while the area was beautiful it was pretty toasty. After receiving our coffee orders, we decided to sit in the bar lounge area to hang out. This was very well air conditioned, but significantly dimmer than the front. It was fairly busy during our time with a constant stream of people in and out. Unfortunately, parking is challenging for this location. There is only a few spots in front of the building. My friends and I had to park a few streets over and pay for parking. This might be a deal breaker for revisiting for me. They also played 3 hours of Disney channel songs while we were there. Although I thought this was silly and enjoyable at first, it started to become a bit much as the time went on. I'd recommend this place if you could go during the week and receive good parking and the music was changed up a bit. It's a beautiful venue! read more

What a cool venue for a coffee shop! We stopped in for an early coffee before hitting the road for a few hours and this was just the right place for a warm wake up. I got the seasonal gingerbread, which was more warm spices and apple than standard syrup pump, and found seating in the venue in the back. The restrooms were clean and street parking was available. read more
Trendy, lounge-style coffee shop with creative drinks! Ambiance: Coffee shop by day, disco lounge by night! The back area with the long bar and lounge seating is great for working--though the music's a bit loud and lighting is dim, so it may not be ideal for studying. Drink: I tried the Matchadoodle--perfectly sweet with a cinnamon kick that balanced the earthy matcha. Highly recommend! TL;DR: Stylish spot with cool vibes and standout drinks--great for casual work sessions, but not the quietest place to study. Try the Matchadoodle! read more

Got the matchadoodle and it was so good. I love how rich and earthy the matcha is here and the snickerdoodle part wasn't too overwhelming. Service was also so quick and they were so nice!! The interior is dark and intimate, a great place to chill and get some work done. read more
I was looking for a relaxing spot to get some coffee, knock out some work on the laptop, and kill some time after checking out of my hotel during my road trip before continuing east. This was everything and more. The coffee was of course delicious, and I got some great help from the staff to advise what I was looking for (there were some cool drinks that I wanted to try but would've been too sweet for my palette) Perfect working environment to chill at and get stuff done with video call level internet and WiFi speeds which was clutch. read more
Ampersand is such a cool spot in Fort Worth--a coffee shop by day, a nightclub by night. When you arrive, there's parking right in front, but keep in mind it's pay-by-the-hour. When you arrive you'll order at the counter, and there's seating outside or in the back, which transforms into a club after hours. If you're into matcha, do yourself a favor and order the Strawberry Fields--matcha, simple syrup, and muddled strawberries. Seriously, it will change your life. The whole vibe here is cool, especially if you like a coffee shop with some club energy. Highly recommend checking it out! read more

They mixed the banana and strawberry flavors into my matcha, was pretty good. Not the strongest matcha flavor though. Viet coffee wasn't my favorite either but not bad. What a vibe! Loved their concept of coffee shop by day and cocktail lounge/bar by night. I'm looking forward to coming back as a patron during the evening. Tried the Strawberry Fields Matcha Latte, and will admit that I should have gone with a classic matcha latte, I wasn't a fan of the sweetness of the strawberry fields. It was VERY strawberry forward, and that can work for some people, but I would have loved if the drink was a balance between the strawberry AND matcha. Loved the baristas, they were very kind and gave great insight on the menu. read more

Ok so hear me out....ive never liked Matcha. So when my Friend suggested we go try this place for matcha, I was like ehh ok....location was great and several parking pots. The staff was super nice and quick. I tried the banana matcha and omg-so so good! I've been craving it for weeks now just haven't been able to make it back. It was so refreshing and loved the banana. My friend got the strawberry and she loved it. They have outside seating and they also have an area in the back for indoor seating . I saw some people just working on their laptops. Service and coffee was meh.... The price points were high for the sizes, and they do not have a shot differences with the sizes. So you are just getting more milk and syrup if you get the larger sizes. read more

My cousin took me here when I was visiting Texas and I FELL IN LOVE!! This spot reminds me a lot of the artisan coffee shops we have in California except dare I say, better? I really like the concept of being both a coffee shop and then at night a bar. I liked it so much I literally went here 3 times in the span of 48 hours and was really sad I could not make it to the DFW Airport one on my way home. The superstars here are definitely their shaken signature lattes which have just the right amount of thickness/foaminess that I look for in a latte. Most lattes are too thin/watered down or alternatively, so thick and decadent it becomes hard to drink. The shaken lattes at Ampersand really sit perfectly in the middle. My ranking: 1. Toasted Coconut 2. Butterbrew 3. RFME Toasted Coconut: Get this if you like hazelnut and nutty flavors. I usually don't like coconut but the TOASTED coconut flavor really enhances the nutty flavors in this latte making for a perfectly sweet drink. Butter Brew: Get this if you like butterscotch or Harry Potter butterbeer. This one is sweeter than Toasted coconut and is realllllly good if you have a sweet tooth. I love the vanilla cold foam! RFME: This one is good if you want more of the espresso taste. It's hazelnut centered but definitely less sweet than the other two. My husband got the banana milk matcha which was yummy but I just have a hard time comparing it to the shaken lattes which are just SPECTACULAR. The pastries are standard good size but since they're warmed up via microwave you lose the flakiness of a true croissant. I also got the chance to meet some of the owners and they are just super down to earth and nice people which really made me feel good about supporting a local small business that clearly is all about building and fostering community. I saw they have a running club and host events (people were picking up flower bouquets for Valentines Day!) for the community and I really do love that. If you are thinking about trying Ampersand out, here is your sign! Such a great business to support and honestly AMAZING COFFEE. read more
Tried out Ampersand with our Fort Worth Coffee Passports. The front coffee area is small and crowded. While the back bar area is very spacious and makes for an interesting speakeasy vibe while drinking your coffee. We really enjoyed our coffees- the snickerdoodle latte and cold brew with coconut cold foam. Parking is pretty minimal and it seems you have to pay in most of the spots. read more

Visiting town and looked up matcha places. I saw the good reviews so I wanted to try it. Place is very cool and trendy like speakeasy vibes. Menu looks great and there was a line. I want to say the banana milk matcha doesnt taste like banana at all... but the matcha flavor is good. Maybe I'll try the lattes next time read more

Is my dog allowed to sit with me while I grade papers here?
I have seen plenty of people with their sweet dogs beside them. Both inside and outside!
Do they have sugar free syrups?
Hello Carlye, we do carry sugar free vanilla on our menu.
Is it true that dogs are allowed here?
I've seen a dog come in with their owner while they were ordering, and no one said anything. Not sure if they stayed. Probably if you're outside, it's fine!
Is there a age limit like 18+ or 21 +? For the bar side at night I mean?
21+ for the bar side at night.
