    Stiff and dirty tequila martinis

Service and ambiance was on point! We strolled in here after a day at The Modern and it's why we love coming to Funky Town. Great, welcoming experience and dimly lit, cozy vibes. Stiff drinks and complimentary hot dogs with a two drink minimum, hell yeah! Adding Proper to our rotation

Been here a couple times, and each time i've enjoyed myself. The interior is fairly small, and if you come on a busy night it might take a while to get seated. However, they do have a patio in the back that you can use as well. This place focuses on craft cocktails, and its a nice lounge/bar to grab a drink and catch up with someone. My all time favorite drink was a clarified tomato cocktail, but when i went back this past weekend, sadly it was no longer on the menu. They switch up the drink menu, (not sure how often) but its nice to know that you can try different drinks. They also sell small snacks (nuts and crackers), definitely no restaurant style food. PS: there's a small parking lots in the back. Just make sure you turn into the tiny entrance by the thai restaurant.

Amazing service, great conversation, and lots of guidance on drink options. It's not a large space, but it's cozy and what they lack in space they make up in character. It was dark inside, but I appreciated the curtains blocking out that Texas sun and made the space even more cool and comfortable. The restrooms clean and fragrant and it just felt like being welcomed into their home. I could go on about the afternoon, just know I can't wait to return.

Very helpful barkeeper. Love the dark, speakeasy vibe. The drinks are freaking amazing. The "Last Night in Paris," is simply the best cocktail I have ever had. Just absolutely delicious. I'm going to start recommending the Proper to friends visiting from out of town. The restaurant next door is really good too, so they make a perfect one-two.

Grabbed drinks with my girls and had a great time. As someone who doesn't drink, I was very appreciative to have the "full experience" thanks to their non-alcoholic menu with great options! I will be back for sure!

This place is awesome- very decorated, low lighting, cute tiny tables, made to look very "hole in the wall". It was packed so it did take a while to get out first order placed, but after that the drinks came by quickly. They had a ton of drinks to pick from- plenty of variety. The only downside- the drinks weren't actually that great- either only talented like alcohol, or didn't taste like what we asked for. Not my favorite bar, but if my friends wanted to go back i would be up for it!

We have come to Proper for years and they never disappoint. They serve bites and have a great happy hour. Their outside area is small but accommodating. The inside is like you stepped back into the prohibition era with dark wood, velvet but big comfy bar stools. It's very quant to say the least. Their menu changes with seasons so the QR code posted was spring 2023. Cheers!!

Perfect craft cocktail bar for a date or with a small group of friends. It has a very intimate and cozy vibe. Ambiance 10/10 their holiday decorations are amazing. Cocktails/food 10/10: Jeremy and julia do a really good job behind the bar. If you dont know what to order they will always get you something that you will like. This hidden gem on Magnolia St. crafts delicious cocktails, drinks, and food! Their drink menu has an endless selection of all your favorite drinks including margaritas and even a cool cocktail called a Key West State of Mind. Service is top notch with some of the friendliest staff I have ever encountered here in Fort Worth . A small intimate setting, perfect for a date night or a meetup with some good friends.

Ask for the mexican old fashion and bring your puppy to the patio. It's the perfect afternoon!

If you want to have an awesome drink, come To The Proper and Jeremy is the best, the drinks are super good. Bring friends and chill .

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

We ordered nachos as an appetizer to split, along with two beers and a kids meal. What arrived was Motley Crue waking from a drug binge, raiding the pantry and trash, then declaring "let's do it." What was supposed to be nachos was anything but. The only explanation is someone who had never seen nachos tried to recreate them after hearing a rumor from someone at a Lowe's parking lot. The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso. We ate maybe a quarter of it and decided we needed to leave before things got worse. Six hours later, we received an unannounced encore performance in the bathroom. I would avoid this place like a plague outbreak--unless you have an upcoming colonoscopy and want to skip the bowel prep.

The burger offered was the "Our Taphouse" - a dry ranch seasoned beef patty with shredded cheese and topped with carmelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and bacon jam. The burger was definitely good. It's messy since there are some more toppings prone to falling out. I will say that in terms of taste, it was a bit too sweet for my preference. I think it was the combination of carmelized onions and bacon jam that made it too much for me that it overwhelmed the savoriness that I'd prefer to be the main flavor with the burger.
