Visited Nickel City while they had the Christmas pop up bar. It was beautiful and so festive! Of course this place was packed but the bartender was quick and helpful. The food is delicious. I thought the patty melt and the slider basically tasted the same; only difference was the bread in my opinion. So I'd probably recommend the slider since it's the cheaper option.

If you're looking for a place to get you into the holiday spirit, this is it! As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're in this Christmas Wonderland! We stopped by late November, and this was one of our bar hopping stops! This place got us all into the holiday spirit right away! They check your ID at the door which for us was great! No children. The drinks were festive and we tried four and the Jingle nog was the best! We didn't try their food! Great place setup for pics!

Came here for a happy hour after work. The inside has such a nice, fun decor. It was pretty packed too. If anything, I would have thought it was a weekend as opposed to a weekday afternoon. There was a little but of a wait but entirely reasonable. I got a mojito. It was my first time having a mojito since I'm not really much of an alcohol person in general. I get red and flushed from all alcohol. Honestly, I still don't even know what's in it. Though it tasted pretty refreshing and crisp. If there's any critique, it was maybe a bit too tart. Could have been a bit more sweet per my preference. Nonetheless, I liked it. Presentation was also good too - there was a twisty straw which truly elevated everything.

We started out at Atlas but sat there waiting for service. We ended up at Nickel City as the bartenders are top notch. They were decorated for Halloween. We had the wings and cheese curds. Top notch. I love this place too

This place is the sh*t. The food, the vibes, the staff. Came recommended to me by Eric at down n out and I've come here twice with my mom when she's in town. The sliders were delish. Wings. Tots. Can't go wrong with any of their food items. Really creative cocktail menu as well or beer if you're a beer girly like my mom.

Festive and fun hangout in Fort Worth's newly revitalized Main Street area! A bunch of my coworkers and I gathered here after a shift and really enjoyed the fun holiday vibes. The decor goes all out and definitely gets you in the holiday spirit. They also had a festive drink menu, which added to the ambiance. We sat inside to start, then moved to the back patio. The patio would have been nice in warmer weather, but was a little chilly for December. There is a food truck in the back that served pretty typical bar fare. We ordered some tater tots which were decent, but took a while to come out. You order via a QR code and it lets you know what time your order will be ready, but it was easily an extra 20 minutes. That said, it was also extremely busy. Even inside the bar, ordering drinks took 30 minutes or more as just getting the bartender's attention took some real effort. Add that the drinks were pretty pricey, even for cocktails. Expect to wait in line to enter during high demand times as well. That said, it's definitely worth going and is really fun, but we ended up leaving to get a less crowded vibe. I can see why it's as popular as it is!

I stopped by yesterday for happy hour with a friend. We stayed from 4-6p and had the best time. The happy hour drinks were affordable and their holiday selection of beverages was vast. The bartender was friendly and drinks tasted great. The slider and tots were a hit and I'd hands down order again. Regardless of the excellent food and drink, the ambiance and holiday zest alone are reason enough to visit.

Nickel City sits inside a big, old brick building with classic mid-century dive bar charm. There's a food truck serving up Impossible sliders and crunchy tater tots. The bartenders here are intimidatingly cool, the type who know things, and make you feel a little out of place if, like me, you're old and not cool. But that's part of the appeal, sinking into a booth and working on your laptop in the middle of the day in a Texas saloon.

Super cute bar! I went after the holidays unfortunately because I hear they go all out with their decor! My friends and I got a bunch of food and shared it all which I definitely feel was the move. There wasnt anything I had that I didnt like although I do wish they had a veggie option on their menu because the meal left me desiring something fresh. I think the closest thing they have to a veggie on their menu is pickles or jalapeño poppers. I dont drink and they did have a couple of mocktails! Somewhere under 10 which I still think is a fine variety. I had the disco dust mocktail and omg it was sooo yummy! I loved the coconut milk in it. The bartender gave helpful recommendations which is refreshing. We went around dinner time and it was very chill and not too packed. It was a great night and a great bar!

What a wonderful holiday experience! I actually got late lunch at Hot Box and went over to check out the holiday pop up and I'm glad I did. Shocking they have had to post DONT STEAL signS all over the venue - really ? Shame shame you dirty thieves!!! They have Santa at the door checking your bags but I don't blame them - it's not the 80s anymore for sure!!! I digress This is a great spot! Staff is attentive and decor amazing. They have daily Happy Hour until 6 and the holiday beverages are available too Make sure you add this to the love list for your holidays.. (And don't go if you're a thief!)

We try to make it here during Christmastime each year. Nickel City does it right with amazing decor and a special holiday mixed drink menu with some unusual but very good drinks in special mugs or other glassware. I recommend the Christmasaurus and the Jingle Balls Nog. Some times can be crowded, but a nice relaxing experience. The popup is called, 'Miracle on South Main.'drink prices are average for the area.

This place is not the same as it used to be. Bar staff is rude and seem to hate their job. It really kills the whole vibe. Won't be back

No. They card you at the entrance.

Are pets allowed?

I've personally seen a couple pets in there before. I guess as long as they're well behaved.

I essentially lived at Wicked Butcher this week while staying at the Sinclair Hotel, eating here…read moretwice, and it absolutely delivered on every level. The swank, Art Deco atmosphere matches the hotel perfectly, but the food is the real star. For lunch, the Wicked Burger was phenomenal. Built with cheddar, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and a rich sauce on a toasted sesame brioche bun, it hits every savory note perfectly. The rest of the table was equally thrilled with their choices, including the French Dip (loaded with caramelized onions, provolone, and horseradish-garlic aioli on a baguette with a stellar au jus) and the crisp Steak Cobb salad. The truffle fries were a massive hit and a frequent topic of conversation around the table, and even the fountain Diet Coke was perfectly calibrated. I'd be completely remiss if I didn't mention the monster rolls brought out for the table--they are giant, incredibly airy, golden popovers served with a spectacular rosemary honey butter that steals the show before the main course even arrives. For breakfast, I wanted to stay on the healthier side and ordered the Sinclair Breakfast with chicken sausage. The sausage delivered incredible flavor with a perfect, distinct peppery bite. The plate was beautifully balanced with delicate microgreens, and the breakfast potatoes were a total standout--perfectly executed with a great outer char and deep flavor. Paired with excellent, robust Lavazza drip coffee, it was a flawless start to the morning. Across both visits, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and highly attentive with beverage refills. Top-tier service, great quality, and an absolute must-visit in Fort Worth.

We ordered the bone-in ribeye with wicked sauce (their own made version sauce of steak sauce, amazing!), pasta bolognese, potatoes, and the cauliflower. We tried the banana pudding for dessert. Made just right, and wasn't overly sweet. For drinks, we did the espresso martini and their version of the aperol spritz. The vibe and the ambience were dim, but not dark. Good for a night date night or dinner with good friends.

It has that fantastic Fort Worth western vibe I was looking for--perfect for a professional get-together without the stiff shirt-and-tie atmosphere. The service and drinks were spot on. Cocktails hit the table fast and were well-made. For starters, we ordered the onion rings, which were easily the biggest I've ever seen and perfectly seasoned. The elk sausages over a polenta base were also delicious and a great start to the meal. When it came to the mains, I wanted something a little different than a standard sirloin. The server recommended the skirt steak topped with a cheese enchilada. I'm normally not a huge fan of cheese enchiladas, but this one changed my mind--it was authentic and awesome. The western beans served on the side were outstanding too. We finished the night with a great red wine and a solid apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately, the kitchen ran into some major consistency issues with the main course. Three people in our party of eight had to send their steaks back because they weren't cooked to the requested temperature--and one gentleman had to send his back more than once. To their credit, the front-of-house team handled it professionally; the server, manager, and even the chef came out to the table to apologize. While the service recovery was there, it definitely put a damper on the evening and felt like a strange occurrence for a Texas steakhouse of this caliber.
