We came here on a Friday night around 10pm and it wasn't packed. I loved the space, very roomy but cozy at the same time. Decorated on theme which was nice. They have a lot of arcade games and a photo booth. The bartenders were super friendly and welcoming. I had two shots of patron while I was there, and I thought they were fairly poured. Their patio has chair swings that are kind if fun to chill on. I wouldn't mind returning here. read more

No complaints, it's your typical college bar. Nothing fancy or outstanding. We came here had drinks and had fun chatting. It is spacious so there was plenty of room to sit and chat. The drinks were strong! It doesn't seem like there are many places in this city that are open until 2 am so this was a good place to go and hang out till the morning. Way better bars than the ones I went to in the area. Such a cool vibe . Bartenders are great, especially Joshua. Lots of arcade type games , upstairs and downstairs. A large bar . A coworker and I found seats rather quickly . I didn't order food , but people said the food was great! So I have no complaints. Everyone was just having a great time . Without telling us, the bar staff added 20% gratuity without telling us. We had a group of three and bought 2 rounds for 2 other people, after laying cash and tipping, getting to the car, noticed the gratuity. The only signage or notice of gratuity being added for larger parties, said for parties of over 6. We had 3 people and paid for 2 people a couple of times, so no reason to add a 6 person party limit gratuity to our tab, of quote un quote "5". Also lends me to ask, did those 2 people also have gratuity added to their tab for buying us a round? We came back and asked and requested the 20% back while leaving the cash tip, well over 25%. They were not argumentative and gave it back, but we were left feeling scammed and blindsided by gratuity added "for larger parties". It does not make sense to count us as a party when we simply bought shots/beers for another group. It seems as though they are jumping up guest count and trying to make up for lack of tip from college students by slyly adding gratuity on tabs that do not constitute the "large party" rule. read more

Drink service was good, friendly staff. Good drink selection. Went on a Saturday night around 11, and the live DJ was really great. Crowd was mixed age but mostly younger. Biggest complaint is that the up keep just isn't there. Furniture is so old and beat up and doesn't look clean. Came on a Wednesday evening while exploring around downtown and it was dead. We were at the bar on a weekday because we were in town for a wedding which ended early and wanted to see some of downtown before leaving the next morning. We saw this bar on a list of Fort Worth speakeasies and thought we'd check it out. (it's not a speakeasy, it's more of a sport bar / dive bar with lots of arcade games.) Two people in my group had expired I.D.s, which I did not know about. The man at the door was pretty agitated about it... No one argued with him about not accepting them, and we were not under any influences at the time. It just felt a bit unnecessary to be that upset toward us. If your entire group has good I.D.s and like arcade games this might be a good spot for you. I however would probably go to Pete's Piano next door or the Irish pub around the corner next time. read more

Walked around Downtown and stumbled upon this place. Thought it was literally a library until we, my friend and me, looked inside the building and saw it was a bar. Wasnt very busy when we walked in and sat at the bar top. The bartender I will say was outstanding all night. Made sure that we didnt have too much to drink. We would sit at both there bar when we got cool and went on there patio when we got hot. Even though we didnt play, the had pool tables and some arcade games. You cam control the music with the touch tunes app if you have it. The bartender can make just about anything not blended. Well I didnt hear or see a blender all night which makes me think they dont have one. Had a bite to eat. Tried there chicken nachos with pickled jalapenos. Chicken was slightly spicy, queso was creamy and couldnt stop eating it. Overall, we had a fantastic night on the town at this bar. I recommend it. read more

Went by during the week and it was a chill place to hang out with couple of friends. They have many games to keep you going all night.

I've been going to this bar for years I had an obsession with their $2 shrimp tacos and tequila shots. I have yet to not have a great time with the fun ambience playing game's upstairs or just chatting with bartenders downstairs. I will say I have only had one bad experience here but Mr Bloomquist was lovely and helped me out immediately. I will always recommend this bar to anyone in downtown Fort Worth. read more

So we were in FW for a trade show at the convention center. The Library Bar is a few blocks from there, an easy walk. We went on two different nights, on Sunday it was sorta dead, but but service was very good. Went back the next Tuesday for industry mixer that had the whole place rented out. It was packed but again service was excellent. Very big place. Not sure if they have food. Some outdoor seating. Nice place to go. read more

Unexpected good time at The Library Bar Saturday night before Halloween. We initially bypassed around 8pm to an empty bar. The crowd had filled in nicely when we came back 2hrs later. They're wild. Watch your account, they like to try to keep your tab open and change their tip amount. What a shady way to do business. I've never been so harassed in my entire year of legal drinking as I have been here. And it's hard to ignore these animals when the MUSIC IS TOO GODDAM LOUD that the only thing I was able to hear on the way out of there was my temples throb. Harsh words, yes, but I imagine you'd be pissed too if the friend you sent to watch Psycho No. 4 get your table's drinks saw him pour something into ALL OF THEM. Not to mention sober you right up to GTFO of there and into the night, cradling your throbbing head and deaf ears. Only afterwards did I realize that my license was missing. So... I'm not sure how to review this place. The drinks where cheap. The decor is very cheesy. I think there may be one of these bar's in every town, but hey the drinks are cheap. This one in particular seems nicer than the Austin location. I think that may be because there are less options in fort worth so more people go here. I was here on a Friday night and the bar filled up with people. It was very hard to get a drink but the drinks were so cheap its hard to complain. All in all as far as bars go this is a chain and ranks very low with me. I'm more of dirty dive bar kinda guy. As the name states, their decor explains all that. Lines of book/shelves envelope about 70% of their wall. We were cruising downtown Fort Worth and this was our 3rd stop. They lay out is open and I see people come and go. (They may be bar hopping as well as we are). Saturday's, they have $3.50 Long Island specials and it was mixed great for the price. I get to try the beer Day Break and found out that it was Brewer locally. Bar tenders are attentive and friendly. This is another place that we would come back to visit if we're back in the area. read more

Don't go unless you want to be over charged for drinks. Apparently if your liquor comes in a tall glass then it's a double. And if you don't specify you want a single, it'll be a double. So I just had "5 drinks" and it was $40. I never asked for a double but that's what I was apparently given and charged for. It tasted like straight juice. The great drink prices is the only reason I would come here if I lived in Fort Worth, that and my in law loves this place. After visiting The Library I realized how nice it is that Dallas does not allow smoking in many places. The library even sales cigarettes! Whaaa! I also noticed that they don't carry much local beer. Which is a huge downer. May be a FTW thing or 'who goes to The Library for a craft beer' thing, don't know. Yet, with such low prices I guess you can't complain.
