I'll start with the good... the two DJ's had great sets. The male bartender, Isaac, was very helpful and respectful. Now the bad... the blonde female bartender is just rude and not approachable by other women. I asked her to dilute a drink by shaking it in ice... is that not a common practice to dilute a drink? Not for this girl. All she kept saying was "the drink is pre mixed." Odd. I had another negative interaction with another female brunette staff member and it just let me know the female staff have an ego problem. Just something to keep in mind when going. Such a great spot. I came here on a date and we had such a good time. The music was a vibe and th drinks were good. There weren't many people there as it was only a Tuesday but that was ideal for us. It's ok, it's kind of hard to find the entrance. The bar service is pretty fast and people are friendly. Drinks are expensive (30 dollars for 2 cocktails) The seating sucks. Huge booths that hold like 10 people all filled up with pairs of 2 and 3. A bunch of open space where they could have more seating or at least standing tables when facing events are not going on. Came on a Wednesday around 11:00pm because my group had just went to a wedding reception that ended early. I found this spot on an online list trying to find a speakeasy in fort worth because we are not from the area. The bar seems to have a branding as a speakeasy, but this is not a speakeasy. Any bar with a dance floor and DJ booth is not a speakeasy. (My opinion) However, this bar was fun, artsy, quirky, with some special cocktails and some great pizza. It was nice getting to sit in a booth and chill because it was relatively empty. This place has a lot of great photo opportunities and I can see it'd be fun do go dancing at on a Fri/Sat. Maybe I'm getting too old for it my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and we decided to hop amongst a few places so we stopped at curfew. The place is cool and the drinks are elaborated and well made however the energy was a little off for us. If you are on your young 20s maybe this is the spot for you, we spent maybe 30 minutes inside and that was enough for us. I decided to celebrate my birthday here and it was such a vibe! Cutely decorated, the disco balls were so pretty and so many spots for instagram worthy pics! The prices to reserve a booth was so cheap compared to what I'm used to! 125 for 2 champagne bottles and 2 pizzas. Our waitress was very attentive and super sweet! I wish I remembered her name but she was amazing. My only negative comment was that I felt the DJ was ok. And that could just be based off personal preferences in music. The bartending staff are simply outstanding. Mixing up different creations that are sure to please even the most particular of tastes. The venue is outstanding and looks and feels like fun from the moment you arrive. About 40 of us came for a private party before the main doors opened and had a blast. The staff are friendly and welcoming and a fun time was had by all. I must say that my only warning is the pizza. What they say is stone baked oven, with house seasoned sausage is really just an easy bake oven, with Johnsonville sausage on top...Who needs pizza when you have cocktails this good? read more

This was my first stop in Ft. Worth after I landed at DFW airport on a late night flight. Got here around 12:30AM on a Friday night. Upon entering, there is a Zoltar the fortune teller machine which seems to be the mascot here, and then a stair case that leads you down to the basement bar. String lights galore, funhouse/carnival mirrors, and a free video/boomerang booth awaited us in the hallway before entering the main room. To our surprise, the place was dead. There were maybe about 20 people, which was crazy because all the vibes were there. The DJ was playing some great music and I enjoyed all the decorations and lights. It was the 1st night of their "Elfmas" pop up Christmas bar event so I was expecting it to be packed a little, alas it was not. No one was on the dance floor and all the booths were unoccupied. It was still a vibe though. I made the best of it with my crew of 4 but we didn't stay long...just got one drink and left. I ordered the "Painkiller", their most popular drink. The bartender asked what level I wanted out of 3, and you darn right I chose level 3. It took him a little longer to make the drink than expected, but when I did get it, the presentation was cute (came in a coconut shell) and the drink was really smooth. However, I did almost pay $20 for 1 drink including tip. Yikes. Upon leaving, I overheard someone say Curfew is usually packed on Mondays and Wednesdays, so I guess we came on an off day. Bummer. Walked in on a Friday night and was intrigued at the entrance and the walk downstairs to enter the club. Past that cool entrance you are in a club with a bar and a DJ like any other. It was rather empty for a Friday night at midnight but I made my way to the bar. The drink menu had a lot of highlights but landed on the Penicillin. The bartender asked if I wanted it on level 1,2, or 3. I played it safe and went with level 1 but let me tell you it was delicious with just the right amount of alcohol. My only couple gripes were the seating options were in huge booths or small tall tops. Was awkward as a single to sit on a booth that seats 8. The small couch area a secluded from the room and needs new cushions bad. The other issue is when I was there there was only 3 other couples in the room. The wait staff on the floor walked around asked everyone if they needed anything. The look up and see me and then walk on past. I ended up going back to the bar to get my own drinks. i really enjoyed this bar, vibes are super cool. i had the most ridiculous hostile encounter with one of the bouncers (which had been working there for two months CLEARLY). i went upstairs to the smoking area, where my friends were, unaware that we were not allowed to bring our drinks out front (to the smoking area) I tried to go outside, he told me I couldn't bring the drink outside. so I got permission from him to leave it at the front door. My friend had her drink outside and he told her that she needed to bring it back in so I told her to put it where my drink was. when she tried to do that he grabbed her drink, insulted her weight and kicked her out. I was trying to talk to him telling him that he gave me permission to do the same thing that she was going to do, but he would not even look at me. he was just ignoring me. The other bouncers were cooperative and calm and just following the venues rules, but this specific bouncer was a complete a-hole. all of the bouncers lied to us saying the manager wasnt there (and refused to tell us their names) but luckily i had an open tab so i was escorted by one of the cooperative bouncers to get my card so I asked the bartender for the manager, which he was there. marvin is his name and he was very kind and listened. there was nothing he could do since they closed soon. but again the a hole bouncer lied to marvin and said my friend ignored him and thats why he kicked her out. when i was standing there watching her trying to walk inside to put her drink down (along with multiple witnesses) the a hole bouncer threatened to arrest my friend for "property disturbance" when we did nothing wrong. this dude needs to be fired and sent to therapy....and maybe some anger management classes. very disappointed in this. wanted to add the manager giving me a free shot after we talked didnt do anything to help. I understand he has to have his employees back, but after posting this on my social media, i have been getting a lot of comments saying they've had similar hostile situations with this bouncer. read more

Me and my two girlfriends came here, my gf ordered a drink for me that I wasn't aware of, so I asked the bartender, Jay, if I could take the drink Togo since every restaurant I've been to does this since covid. I was clear in my question and she was clear in her answer- yes. When I reminded her once, she said ok, went about her job. Reminded her a second time, she finally said "we don't give drinks Togo". She said one thing twice, and changed her story which was strange. She didn't throw the drink away, which clearly was an indication that she was going to pack it. I asked if she could pls remove the drink from my friend's tab since I didnt touch it, but she refused. I said "fine I'll drink it". She said, "you said you couldnt, so i wont give it to you." At that point, I was fine to drink it, which was not the bartenders call at that point. She seemed to be taking this to a personal level. Maybe she felt embarrassed for saying one thing and doing another, being called out for it. I said "no restaurant or bar has ever not removed a drink from a tab that wasn't touched." She said we don't do that. So,I asked to speak to a manager bc usually, they have common sense in todays world of customer service, very sad. She said "I'm the manager!" Then she called me a Karen lol. No good manager is as unprofessional as her to call a customer names in this situation. I told her she was a terrible manager because she didn't even understand how to defuse a situation, which is a basic hospitality management skill. I said that her calling me a Karen was a cop-out for not wanting to give good service and taking responsibility for what she said. She tried to change the subject by asking me what I had in my bag, it was a seltzer and closed wine bottle I had as a gift from someone I met up with before, and of course she held it against me to try and kick me out, changing the subject from her embarrassment. Jay is not a manager who knows how to defuse a situation or act professionally, putting her emotions aside. I've been in the hospitality industry in the past for years, and this truly is a terrible manager. I feel bad for the employees at Curfew. I believe any business is doing terribly to have to charge ppl for drinks they didn't touch or didn't order. Its customary to remove it from the tab, but Jay was treating the situation unprofessionally. I do not recommend this place only because the "manager" will not take care of you in an event that something like this happens, and she will make it worse. This place doesn't understand that customers are the reason they have a job and should treat them with more respect. Jay should do something else if she's miserable as a manager at a bar. Rarely do I ever have conflict like this anywhere bc ppl tend to care and want to be fair in their business dealings, also use common sense. Not Cerfew, not Jay. She also seemed like she was hating on my friends and I bc she wouldn't even allow my friend to use the restroom after that. She was just searching for any excuse for us to leave. So much fun! The venue is decorated great and has a good ambience. The DJ was so fun!! All 2000's and 2010's songs you could sing along and dance to!
