On a Saturday night when Ft.Worth is packed with people downtown at the stock shows I needed a place to take my out cousins who were in town. It's inside the Raddison so it's fairly nice. As far as decor it's just a regular dance place. I was impressed with the couches and comfortable looking sitting areas inside close to the dance floor. They were taken up when we got there so we didn't get a spot there. Older crowd which was perfect for me, maybe not for my younger cousins. The music was all kinds, country, older hip hop and pop music. Overall it was great to have a variety of music styles and watching everyone dance was a blast. Drink prices was good too... there were 7 of us and the bill was under $100, I think everyone had 2 drinks... I think. Four stars only because they allot smoking inside and although I understand it's a club, I wish they had a patio for smokers. read more

We stayed here Saturday, Feb 10th and decided to hit Cassidy's. The music was great, ambience was fun, service was good. But then we got our bill and it was just the credit card slip, not the actual bill. Two of us, and it was $114. Okay, we're not in downtown Dallas, so we asked for itemized bill. Since it was just the slip which you add tip and sign. Itemized bill showed 18% tip included, but a service charge and liquor tax on top of it? Wtf, Cassidy? Where does the service charge go to? It was an added $24 bill on top of our drinks, tip, and tax. Like, really? I was going to give 4 stars for this place, but, removed 2 stars for adding unnecessary charges. We actually would've tipped more but the bill was ridiculous. Beware of your bill when you come here. Just be careful. I'm sure most people don't notice after drinking. read more

If there was literally nowhere else to go on a weekend night or if my car broke down in front of the hotel where this place is housed, I would consider going back. We went on a Saturday night just for the hell of it. We were both kind of tired but still wanted to do SOMETHING on a Saturday night. There is a bar right off the lobby & beyond this entrance is the place. The crowd was an average age of mid 40s to mid 50s. Diverse mix of people. The music was ok. The drinks were ok. First time visitor on 10/20/18. Closed my tab & left the club after a pretty fun night. I was not provided a itemized bill but did not ask for one since my tab was only $36. And I was pleasantly surprised. When I looked at my bank statement on Sunday it was still $36. Then on Monday the amount drafted from my bank was $71. I called & their accountant attempted to explain it was a $25 hold. But since I can add - that didn't add up (hehehe). Next the accountant tried to review my tab with me. I explained I was never given an itemized tab but one credit card slip that I signed & tipped on at 1:30am. I finally was given the option to give them my credit card info again to receive my refund or drive to the bar. I live an hour away. I did not receive an apology. We came here while we spend the night at the Radisson last Saturday. We walked about 930am and by the looks of it, I was thinking we would not be here long. The place was packed with people about 10-20 years older than us. There were a few people our age, but all that didn't matter once we started drinking and dancing. The theme/music this outing was 80's Retro. I knew a good portion of the songs and me and another guest was playing a drinking game of "Guess the Artist". We knew the words to most of the songs, but then guessing the artist can get a little hard after a few drinks. I was just drinking beer and my wife was into the mixed drinks. She said they were really strong. The service was really good. I don't remember her name, but she was a short haired blond and she was running all over the place with drinks. She was working her but off and deserved every penny she got that night. There are plenty of TVs all over the place and there were even some over the dance floor. The DJ was decent even though he could have just been a jukebox because of the song theme this night. Yes, there were hard core cowboys to elderly people, but they were all dancing having a great time. It seemed the club was always packed. If you get your hand stamped you can go in and out, and there are bathrooms right outside the door which was easy. I figured that out after about 3 trips. I would like to give props to the security that night because before we started dancing ourselves, we were watching people and we saw a 40-something lady who was already drunk who was acting crazy, I guess trying to dance but ended up doing a high kick and kicked a big Mexican dude (dancing with his woman) upside the head. OH HE WAS PISSED, and not even a minute later the security/door guy was all over it. He came down whispered something to her and pointed to the corner of the club (I guess asking her to get her stuff) and walked her off the dance floor. That was the last time we say her all night. Pretty Quick on that. The staff was amazing and really worked hard that night. As I mentioned in my review of the Radisson, we danced all night and were there when they turned the lights on. After finishing our drinks we were the last 2 people to leave the club. We had a great time and will defiantly go back if we stay at the Radisson again. We would recommend to anyone who wants to people watch and dance and just have a good ol' time. read more

Soooo, we stumbled upon this nightclub as we were staying at the Radisson last Saturday.... WOW!!! This place takes having a great time back to when that's what it meant...HAVING A GREAT TIME! From the Dj and Singer to the waitstaff, these guys were all over it. While I don't drink (wife does) I was still able to get out there and do a little booty-shakin...:) The people there all range from the ages of 20-somethings wanting to be seen, to my agers (upper 30's) just doin a little dance and enjoying a POSITIVE, FUN environment. I viewed their website and these guys have different themed nights and have been open for TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS.... THAT'S UNHEARD OF. I regret not being in town on Wed(Country night), but would go back on Sat(Retro night) anytime. They played songs from 60's(few), while the 70's, 80's and 90's ruled the night!!! While most folks improperly associate "retro" with just the 80's(which is inaccurate), they played all facets of retro styles....WELL!! ....reminds me of a Cruiseship Bar!! Thank you guys!!! I used to go to Cassidy's because they had cheap drinks. I would spend $15 or $20 bucks on drinks and leave feeling pretty good after having a great time. It didn't bother me that they started charging $5 to get in but I went the Saturday after Thanksgiving and was charged over $70 for six drinks two of which were beers. When I asked about i,t the bartender informed of the new 18% gratuity that's applied to tabs over a certain dollar amount. I didn't fuss at all but then I get home and and there is an additional $10 charge on my card, for what reason I still don't know, plus they held $50 from my account for nearly a week. I just got kicked out for an incident that happened about a month ago. Someone lied to the manager about me putting something into the drinks when all I was doing was pouring water from their pitcher into my cup. But because they are more regular than me, they automatically believe them. Why would I put something into their drink in front of all of them so they can see it? Tonight I was Just enjoying the music and having a few drinks and I still got kicked out because someone complained that I was there. I had just bought two drinks and then even get my money back. I will never go back again and will not recommend this place to anyone. If the managers read this, I would like to talk to them about this incident because it is not fair at all. read more

Words cannot begin to express the joy of finding an 80's dance club in the DFW area (online). However the anticipation and longing to experience what Cassidy's could offer were quickly shattered. The website declares " Enjoy dancing in the Fort Worth night club atmosphere with our live DJ (Wed-Sat nights) and Happy Hour specials". There was a DJ on site but he only played a handful of songs with only 2 being from the eighties. When he was asked to play something from the 80's he answered the singer was in charge and he followed her lead. In contradiction, another section of their site states "Saturday Retro 80's night live entertainment". So, now about the singing. Wow! Absolutely awful! She sang to music tracks and even sang along when Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston provided vocals. I'm being extremely generous classifying it as singing. Multi-tasking is common in working environments, but it is not something you would think would be a skill required of a "singer". Case in point, while singing, she would flip thru CD storage cases choosing the next song to be butchered. Our server was less than honest (repeatedly) about when the singer was leaving and the DJ taking over. She never left! A drink was accidentally knocked over at my table. A worker wiped it up and rolled his eyes when I apologized then he ignored me. Cassidy's is a great place if you like line dancing to... hip hop and who knows what the other genres they played, of course country was included. Wait isn't this supposed to be a retro 80's club?! Several reviews I read prior to my visit were misleading in almost every facet except the claim it's a mature crowd. Mature indeed, senior citizen mature... Good Ole Cassidy's. Been my favorite place to party & shake my booty for years. If your over 35yrs old this is a great place to get your party groove on. I love this place cause the music is good, never a cover charge and they don't mind my ball-cap. My favorite night is Saturday but I also hear Wednesday is a great time to. Beer prices are above average for this part of town but it all evens out due to NO COVER CHARGE. What I love most about Cassidy's is the crowd is very mature and you are sure to make a new friend or 2. And being 49yrs myself I feel very comfortable in this place. A friend recommended this place to me about a year ago and I finally got around to getting up there last week. I was pleasantly surprised when i got there. I was thinking, a hotel bar? Why would i want to go there? When i got there they had a dance floor, a dj, and a performer. I was amazed at the very versatile group of people there. It was a place for all ages. The staff was extremely friendly( which is hard to find in a bar) and they seemed to have quite a few regulars as well. Prices were fair and the entertainment was good.
