It's like going back in time to your school disco's (if you were lucky enough like myself to have experienced school discos!). The music is spot on - the dance floor is always jumping and the vibe is amazing. Some people dress up 80's style - some are in jeans/t-shirts and others are dressed to the nines. I love that no one really takes notice and that it is a smorgasbord of styles. However, I do wish there was a few more seating options for those brief moments that you need to rest between your dance sessions tho - even if it is the "uncomfortable slanted bus stop" types along a wall. The missing star from this 5 star review is that the drink service is a little hit and miss - there are some truly stellar bar tenders working there but equally there are some bar tenders who play favorites and can leave you hanging. read more

Club looks nice. Music is '80s as advertised. There were a few repeat songs which was weird since they had a DJ. The reason for the low score is two-fold. On their website they mention putting a hold on the card you use to pay. My experience with this is a $5 hold to make sure there is money on the account. They put a $75 hold on my account. Thankfully I had that. Secondly, I only purchased a single beer ($8, $10 total with tip) but they charged me twice. So, I have two $10 charges from them right after the other. Be aware of poor management! We had issues with our pre-booked, prepaid reservation where other guests took our reserved table! The manager we were talking to that night needed proof of our reservation and for how many people before there was any attempt to resolve our issue and that was only after we demanded some form of compensation. I would think that if you are a venue that allows for reservations and requires full payment prior, you would have that information organized. If that were true, I wouldn't be writing this review, but here we are. My sister and I cohosted our sister's 40th birthday party here last Saturday. We reserved our table well in advance with bottle service for 30 people, which was a table on the dance floor as well as the 2 tables behind us. When you reserve a table with bottle service, you are required to pay the full amount to book the spot. Our reservation was for 9:30pm and we were there and seated at our table promptly at 9:30pm. Our waitress, who was great the entire evening by the way, brought out the celebratory bottle and mixers with her colleagues at 9:36pm. Pictures attached with time stamps circled at the top. All was well until we noticed one of our tables had a group of people that were not a part of our party so we asked our waitress to inquire. By this time, more of our friends were arriving, and we needed our extra table. From this point on it was a lot of back and forth between management with "a we can't do anything about it" attitude. We had my husband and other members of our party handle the issue behind the scenes to avoid a scene and to avoid ruining our sister's birthday party. It ultimately took 2hrs before we got our table back. We have done several celebrations here including bottle service at each event and we had not encountered this type of unprofessional behavior until now. We even spent hundreds more on additional drinks and shots for the bday girl. We politely asked to use our reserved tables and we did so via our waitress and management. We did not interact with the other guests until they were rude to us as they were asked to leave. Our waitress was very helpful and tried to get management to address our concerns while still attending to our table and others all night. She was great! We will not return here for any additional parties. read more

The owner Macy treats the people who literally PAY for her business to operate like trash. Also, if it's an 80's themed bar why is it such a terrible thing for PAYING customers to dress up from that Era? 2026 NYE PARTY WAS AWESOME!! Great music, drinks and atmosphere!! 3 levels with DJs!!

Let me begin by saying this was my 1st time at this club since it moved from its location on University Dr. where it had burned down. The inside is wonderful, sound, lighting, some misplaced things like a DJ booth in front of a large video monitor. Why someone would place that there when I see a few more places better suited. The temperature inside was COLD. A temperature that would be suitable if you had more people in the club dancing. But on this particular night, Sunday, June 22, 2025, there was a very small number of people there to see a show. On this night, we went to Liyah Alize, a phenomenal performer in our community, along with Kenya Blue. I went there with friend and performers Jazzi Blue, Aundrá Mikyles, and my husbear who I am married to has been wanting to go there for a long time. He is a lover for the 80's. It was strange, that they had to have cash for the $10 cover charge, yet you can pay for your drinks at the bar with a card. We then went and sat down, sat there for a while, was not planning to drink anything until show time. After about 10 minutes, we were greeted by the bartender that INSISTED we needed to drink. I told him we were going to wait until showtime, also told him we had just came from the club in which I am affiliated with and was pacing ourselves. Explained to him also that we had just had bottle service where we came from so, we wanted to wait. That was not good enough insisted we needed to stay drunk, told us the specials and asked what he would be making? We finally decided on the Green Tea for $4. Don't know how $4 X 3 comes to $21, but that's what we paid tabbing out at $25 for the tip. Seems like we were over charged for over poured drinks. All good, we only had 1 a piece. COME SHOWTIME. I was ready to see an outstanding show. When they announced the 1st person that is being represented as the HOUSE PERFOMER, I was ready to leave. This person that goes by the name of LaVenus Vankontiyae, a known liar, slanderer, and con-artist, aka Venus, government alleged name Tyjuan Oliver, took to the stage in a performance that has no words! This person that falsely represented themselves as the mascot of the former Rainbow Lounge, falsely represented they had a business name registered as TyStar productions, as well as making false claims to police on AT LEAST 3 people in our community, 1st Timmy Crawford, 3rd former a club owner, and myself. The harassment I received from this individual after helping them out with audio work which they left a flash drive at my residence, and help paying for meals they tried to pay with a counterfeit $100. The harassment I received was the most unprofessional, costly making me lose time and money from work on a court hearing, falsely accusing me of calling them a b!tch and a hoe. Went to court and they did not even show up. If this is the type of people they employ or allow to associate with their business, this would be the main reason I am other with me would choose to not return to this club. More proof I have to share, if asked, from my YouTube page, which this entertainer also called the police to have an investigation done on and they deemed what I did was not in any type of violation with the law. Shortly after being out there to warm up and talk, the bartender came out yelling at some patron, said he needed to leave, something about the bartender's friend, not sure what was going on, but it was very disturbing. Note the bartender was highly intoxicated. He told this to my friend I was talking to outside earlier with when he went to get a drink. The bartender also started spilling how drunk he was, how he despised the club shirt my friend had on because his ex-boyfriend worked there and was done so wrong by him. This probably explains why we were overcharged, what felt like aggressive selling of alcohol, along with what he was trying be insulting compliments. 1 for example: "likes my mustache, did I get it at Krogers?" I said "it was home grown, my hair on the other hand not so much." He then asked, "hair from Wholefoods?" I'm not sure where is humor was coming from, it made no sense, it didn't relate to anything, I'm going to take it that it was just from his intoxication. I didn't take that much offense to it, he's young, I've got 30 years more on him and in the community that I am from, I have heard worse from better. Also for future reference, "It's fine" is not an expression of happiness. Its an expression of "fine"-ness, and continuing to serve the remaining table normally isn't doing "Everything possible to accommodate". As you know by your management's (in)actions some people just aren't comfortable with conflict. And again, our waitress was great, zero complaints there. The one star in service is for your managers NOT our waitress. PS: 2 Facebook comments does not equal "excessive copy pasting" you guys really have a way with words! read more

In fact they were on time for their 9:30pm reservation with Bottle service being brought out at 9:36pm. The hostesses WERE NOT HAPPY WITH HOW MANAGEMENT handle this situation. So let's reflect on who's actually telling the truth here. I also find it odd that the only people that you think matters here are the ones that paid and booked the bottle service reservation... NOT ALSO their 28 guests that were invited to enjoy this bottle service and celebration as well... But not only that... You didn't mention we still bought your overpriced $10 beer and shots on top of that. And yes, we tried to handle this so it wouldn't ruin the guest of honor and her 2 hostesses night. Absolutely horrible service. In town for a major veteran event. Came here to spend time with 30+ veterans and was denied access due to my service dog. The "owner" stated he has a service dog, he's has an ID for them, and I'm required to show my service dog ID. I'm glad he went to Google.com and purchased his "Service Dog ID" but THERES NO LEGAL STATE OR FEDERAL ID FOR SERVICE ANIMALS!! Not only was he rude and disrespectful he attempted to belittle my husband and I. Just a little education directly from the ADA website: service animals not required to wear a vest or other ID that indicates they're a service dog. https://www.ada.gov/topics/service-animals/#:~:text=Required%20to%20be%20certified%20or,they're%20a%20service%20dog After 8 years in the Marine Corps and getting blown up by an IED it's great knowing this establishment does not care about its veterans nor disabilities. I have reserved tables with bottle service with this place before and everything went off without a hitch. However, this past weekend, we ran into some problems. I had reservations for a party of 30 and when the birthday celebrant and some of our party arrived ON TIME (not "extremely late" as commented by the business) at 9:30 pm, we were taken to our couch with two tables behind having place cards reserving the area. As others people in our party started to arrive, I looked over and a table (reserved for my party) was emptied of its reservation place card and other people started to use it. We brought the issue up to our server, who was great by the way, and she said she will look into it. A manager had come by talked to several people in my party, except for me, and I watched him walk over to the table behind us and shook hands with them, talked to them, and then walked away. By this time, both groups started growing in size and we began to bump into each other. A couple of people in my party were consistent with trying to talk to a manger, or anyone in upper management really, to get things settled. It came down to demanding compensation and the owner coming by to get our table back. This whole ordeal took a couple of hours to resolve. I'm and not happy at the way things were handled. First time there and I will say the set up is pretty cool. Three places to dance along with the outside patio was pretty nice. The ambiance is great, where we had an issue was the professionalism and attitude of the bartenders. This seems to be a reoccurring issue but in Fort Worth especially was shocking. Considering how busy the bartenders are and the number of customers, you would think there a specific level of care and respect towards the people at your club. Sadly we were overlooked and then after tipping the entire night we were verbally confronted by the bar tender at close, saying our last bills' tip was not adequate despite the multiple other rounds where we were more than generous despite our heavy poured drinks. Pretty shocking someone who has the years of experience would be so entitled to a larger tip despite the numerous other rounds and tips left. Just seems like an issue of entitlement in the bartending section, this is a business and the customers' comfort and satisfaction should be the top priority, not greed or entitlement. Review #20 out of 22 for the year 2022 letss gooo! Pro tip,,,,, Fort Worth has free parking after 6pm most weekdays and free parking on the weekends after 6pm (Friday, saturday and sunday). Park in one of their official lots or go to a parking garage and parking is free. What i use to do was go to one of the restaurants nearby and ask if they had complementary valet, if they do, ask them if they would be willing to take your ticket to studio 80 valet after eating. They will most always say yes, this way you dont have to move your car after dinner. In other words, a lot of restaurants downtown use the city of fort worth parking lots/garages for their customers and so does studio 80. The same valet that work at the restaurant usually move to studio 80 after the restaurant is over to get more hours. By asking them to move your ticket allows you worry free guaranteed that you will get your car back at the end of the night. But yeah free working, your welcome. I love coming here, I always have a blast no matter the occasion. I think the first time I cam here was for a bachelorette nigh out with some coworkers and the bride to be. I loved the demographic here and I see that people honestly come here to have a good time. From all walks of life you see young and young at heart, those who lived through the 80 and those who's parents were born in the 80's. There are 3 dance floors, the first one is the one you walked in that plays all the 80's music, you will see some stairs and a digital marquee that says 'lounge upstairs'. Follow the stairs and you will see a smaller dance floor with some couches and a bar, a more intimate setting if you will. The third dance floor is on the main floor passing the staircases, this dance floor lights up and reminds me of the one from Saturday night fever (so iconic). This room has lots of couches to lounge in and it also has a bar, the DJ here plays more of the pop/hip hop songs from 2000's to today. If your gonna sit down on the couches do so properly or the staff will get on to you. Even if you put your foot on the couch to tie your shoe they will get on to you. If you are twerking and put your hands on the couch to support your body they will get on to you lol ~true story~. One of the things I like about studio 80 is that they have water in 5 gallon beverage dispensers all over their bars. So instead of bothering the bartender for some water just grab a plastic cup and fill it up with cold water and you are good to go. Not many places have this system in place. I dont usually buy drinks at their bar but the few times that I did I never had an issue with the bartenders. One of the last times I was there was for New Years Eve and It was a blast! I had so much fun dancing and meeting new people. They have VIP tables you can reserve and if you did for that night they came with light up hats and glasses along with noise makers to bring in the new year. I was lucky and the guy handing them out let me have one yay! I meet a couple of really nice and fun people that night that they did not feel like strangers. I know that's weird to say but with all the negative things going on in the world you just wanna be kind to a complete stranger and bring the world together. You could feel the love and the excitement some of these songs brought to people. I could see so many different people from different walks of life that night having fun and it just made me smile. Now FYI, you dont have to dress up like the 80's to come to studio 80 lol but if you do its cool. They do have a dress code but is not strict, as long as your not naked or being a douche you will be fine. So take a break from the modern day music and take a step back in time to enjoy some good music and dance the night away. read more

I attended the NYE party at Studio 80 with a friend last night, and I was surprised that our experience was awful. Other times that I've visited, I have had an amazing time, but last night was very disappointing. First, the drink prices were way overpriced from the usual. Plus, I was OVERCHARGED and charged twice for the ONE drink I had. Second, the DJ in the 90s room was the worst. I don't know if it was his first time, but he shouldn't be allowed to DJ until he gets more experience. He did NOT know what he was doing. Some people even booed when he would cut off a song that was being danced to and attempted to "mix" it with another. He even started playing "Auld Lang Syne" song (the New Year's song) at 45 seconds left on the clock because he mixed it with the song currently playing. It was bad. Some of the management were rude about reserved tables at the club. It was a very bad experience. Hopefully they will get it together for next year. read more
