We love coming to the stockyards, but when we go to the bar, we're the only person at the bar and the bartenders have an attitude, problem or are disrespectful and are more worried about entering their tips from the previous shifts than to wait on us. It's very discouraging as a previous business owner if I own this business, I would like to know that my Bartender is more interested in talking to people than serving drinks, especially when they're overpriced drinks I'd be upset. Disappointed at best. Stockyards used to be fun now I have to throw a fit to overpay for a drink. read more

We were bumming around the stockyard, which we haven't done in years, and unfortunately for us they were having a festival. Because of the festival we were unable to go into the bars that we most frequent. We lucked out when we ran into this place. We got in before they started charging cover charges and the live music was awesome. We are all about listening to new singers and music. Beer was very cold as well. We came here late night as it was the most poppin' place on a weeknight at the Stockyards. There was live music and it seemed like a lot of industry people who work in the area come here after they get off work. It has a divey feel with some pool tables in the back and a vending machine that sells random things. The bathrooms were not that clean, adding to the divey vibe. The line to get a drink was a bit slow as the bartenders were stopping and talking to people. They have lots of beers in cans and mixed drinks as well. I'd stick with the beers however, which were fairly priced. We watched the band for awhile and even danced a bit on their small dance floor. The bartenders and service are amazing!! There is apparently a band that plays every Thursday night, and they are not responsive to feedback. They we're playing so loud that no one at the bar (ummm- how a bad makes money) could hear anyone. We all had to scream into each other's ears. I kinda love this place, but the band wouldn't take feedback and my right ear is totally blown out because they wouldn't turn the volume down a bit. I won't go back on any Thursday until they get rid of that band. I also won't be back any time soon, because I can't hear anything after that audible assault. Get rid of that Thursday night band. Zero stars for fucking sure. Came in and my husband ordered two drinks and closed out our tab. The bartender never returned our card and it was just sitting behind the bar waiting for us to sign the receipt. The bartender was drunk, high, all the things and never brought it back. After my husband stood there for 10 minutes being ignored and unable to get his card back he went and got it himself. When he got the card, another drunk fuck decided to kick him out for going to get his own card. We will never be back. How can you do your job when you are more fucked up than the people buying your drinks. The bartender should have been kicked out for how fucked off he was. This place sucks and so does their service. Whoever owns this place might need to re evaluate how they are hiring people and also fix their bathroom stalls so there's a damn lock on it for some privacy. If I could give them negative stars, believe me, I would. I grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and this is one of the few times I felt blatant disrespect to my face. My friend wanted to check out a bar near the stockyard while I was in town visiting. She walks in with her boyfriend in hand, I walk in with mine. The Bartender with the beard immediately looked at my boyfriend and I and utters: "You look like you had too many." To my boyfriend. Mind you, I am the only Black person in the group, let alone the bar. Furthermore, we hadn't had a drink yet. So my boyfriend responded in confidence. "I haven't even had one..." The asshole responds with "Well either way, I can't serve you. So we look at each other, obviously stunned. Considering this was a place a friend of mine (a little older) recommended me to. I knew in my gut it was a race thing. And I'm not quick to pull them "race" card. It's just sad that some people choose to be racist while we don't choose our race. Accidentally visited this place while searching for another bar and absolutely no regrets. It has live music up to 2a even on weekdays. There was enough space for people who want to dance. The set up was good and the staff were friendly. I am in Texas for a visit and the bar had that local Texas flavor and that's what I liked about it. Don't expect the fancy wines or champagne here. They just have bottled beers which is kind of let down for me. On request bartender does make some cocktails but you don't have a menu for it. read more

I've witnessed the staff be outright rude to customers and often on busy nights the bartenders will converse with friends rather than pay attention to other customers needing service.
