    Downtown burger. Definitely not gourmet.
    Bjorn B.

Went in thinking I was going to have a good experience. I did not. Ordered the "downtown burger" it was extremely basic and all I could taste was the cheese. Bun was burnt as well. Not even a side of fries, just a bag of Doritos came with it. At the end when It was time to pay, the bill came to $40 (drinks included) but they actually charged 48 dollars. Very shady. Do not recommend, will not go there again.

Love this place! Our bartenders were awesome and funny as hell! Great prices and they know how to pour! Close to everything and short walk to several community theaters and restaurants. Love the ambiance of a small Irish bar and this one fits the bill.

Just stopped by for a happy hour drink or two...not too bad, as it did have the normal "pub-stench" that I kinda expected...service was good, music was good and beverages were tasty...what else could you want from your local downtown bar?

    Cool ass atmosphere!

Great food and drinks, with an awesome bartender! Fuck those bad Yelp reviews, this is the place to be!

Great place. Awesome bartenders, great owner and dog friendly. Place to go to when downtown.

Great laid back Irish Pub that has sports on! Fun place with good drinks

Great cocktails and fast service!! Watch sports, hang out without smelling like cigarettes!! Super laid back bar and fun!!

    Guinness pour!

I'm pretty positive this is my favorite bar in downtown. They've got a ton of liquors that other places don't (like Loopy vodka!) and the bartenders will recommend you shots that are delicious! Ask about a monkey shot... we get it every time! When it's crowded there's not a lot of place to stand or sit, so make sure you get there early to get a seat or a standing spot!! I've also met some of the nicest people in here. The crowd is fun, and everyone wants to have fun. You won't regret coming here for a fun night out in downtown. They are also ranked in Guinness pouring (see my picture)

Small, quaint, dark Irish pub on Houston St. We were greeted as soon as we walk in and have our drinks within less than a minute upon sitting. They were still celebrating St. Patrick's when we were there. They had their tables decorated with green and other st. Patrick's decorations. The best part was we get to walk away with free green shirts that they were giving away that night. I'd be back as the ladies here are helpful and attentive with their service.

    The really nice bartender!

This place is a dump. Dirty dark and dingy. Clean up the place. You might get more customers.

It's an Irish pub in every possible way. Not kitschy, or a caricature, just a good pub.

In addition to the food, they offer gluten-free beers and cider. Service was excellent and our server was knowledgeable about food preparation (in terms of allergies). The food is good but I find it extremely rich. The onion rings are fried in a thick batter. The gluten-free gravy tastes amazingly like "regular" gravy. It's really nice to have multiple gluten-free dessert options, even if we rarely have room for dessert. I recommend that you make reservations for holidays when they have specials or if you think it would be busy (ex: St. Patrick's Day). After this visit, I did get extremely sick for about 24 hours after eating here. It might have been the richness of the food not agreeing with me or it might have been something else.

I don't drink alcohol, but I do love food, and Fridays is Fish and Chips day! My partner took me along for lunch, I am usually not off work during that time, and the fish and chips were great. The breading and Cod was perfectly cooked. I even enjoyed the coleslaw which was house-made. A little vinegar on the chips and ketchup on the fries and I was so happy this place is a walk away from my house. I wish I had gone sooner! Food is only served during lunch hours, but there is a family dinner on Monday evenings that is free. I have not made it to that yet, but intend to go! Last week was fried pork chips. I can't believe I missed it! The dining area is in the back of the bar. They say they are going to redecorate that space and it needs it as it looks like an after thought. There is no good table arrangement, and sitting at the small bar is awkward when trying to eat. Get it to go, or eat anywhere you can and enjoy the conversation. My complete meal would have been 5 stars if the fries had been hand cut and house made, but the fish and coleslaw make it 5 stars anyway, and coming in at $10 you can't beat it. I will definitely go back, and soon! They also offer catfish and sometimes fried shrimp. Go on Friday and enjoy the cool old building, the friendly staff, and casual atmosphere. More importantly, enjoy the food!
