Nonetheless, we were able to find some seats at the bar towards the back. i've never had Guinness before so that was the obvious choice. I couldn't have asked for a better place first pint. It was poured to perfection. Deep black body with an appropriate amount of a creamy head at the top. Smooth, creamy, balanced. I'm not too much of a beer drinker but it was tasteful mix of roasted barley and chocolate in terms of flavor. Went in thinking I was going to have a good experience. I did not. Ordered the "downtown burger" it was extremely basic and all I could taste was the cheese. Bun was burnt as well. Not even a side of fries, just a bag of Doritos came with it. At the end when It was time to pay, the bill came to $40 (drinks included) but they actually charged 48 dollars. Very shady. First time I came in the place was dead and the bouncer came up to me and I thought he was going to rip my head off. The second time I came in the bar tender ignored me and when I did manage to get his attention, I would get drink and tip him really well and he would still ignore me. I know working a customer service job sucks and I wouldn't want to deal with people, especially if they have had too much to drink. So I don't know what the solution is. I'm pretty positive this is my favorite bar in downtown. They've got a ton of liquors that other places don't (like Loopy vodka!) and the bartenders will recommend you shots that are delicious! Ask about a monkey shot... we get it every time! When it's crowded there's not a lot of place to stand or sit, so make sure you get there early to get a seat or a standing spot!! Small, quaint, dark Irish pub on Houston St. We were greeted as soon as we walk in and have our drinks within less than a minute upon sitting. They were still celebrating St. Patrick's when we were there. They had their tables decorated with green and other st. Patrick's decorations. The best part was we get to walk away with free green shirts that they were giving away that night. I'd be back as the ladies here are helpful and attentive with their service. read more

This place seems like a cool spot for local workers to hang out after their shifts, but it has a close-knit following that kind of made me feel like an outsider. There's nothing to do but drink here, unless you count the 2 or 3 video games in the back by the bathroom. The drinks were pretty cheap so that's a bonus. Plus the bartender was really nice and recommended a drink for me based on what I like. We got our buzz on and moved to somewhere else. Absolute wonderful time in Fort Worth at the Durty. First time in Tejas for business. Visited the local pubs in the immediate area and this was my absolute favorite. Great selection of local brews on draft, even greater selection of bottled brews. Super friendly bartenders, attentive, and helpful in making sure you have a good boozin experience. Two fridges. One for "domestic, regular stuff" the other - "weird, craft, fancy shit (get a pairing cup and raise your pinkies with it). Seemed like a pub for locals, and they were all equally as friendly. Irish bar that doesn't make Irish Coffee and doesn't know how to suspend one beer on top of another. No Half and Half's, no All Irish. Did not get to try much else as it took me a while to drink my Guinness that was fully mixed with harp. Except for the fact that 90s alt-rock was blaring (and not the Cranberries, mind you, which might have been culturally acceptable) from the speakers, interspersed with hip hop. I will fully admit this place isn't exactly a traditional Irish Pub, but has plenty to offer. While it is small I think it gives it more of a Cheer's feeling to it, particularly because of it's loyal group of regulars who are always welcoming to new faces. I do admit it can get quite crowded and smokey on a weekend. A great selection of beers primarily bottled, but there are a variety of domestics and of course Guiness on tap. All the bartenders are top notch and can make nearly anything you request with the exception of blended drinks -this isn't Chili's people!! While they don't have bar snacks, they are not opposed to you bring or even having food delivered. All in all it's a great place to grab a drink and catch up with friends. read more
