I went to McCullars on Little rd today and had a great experience! I sat at the bar top and was taken care of by the most attentive bartender, Lisa. She was fun and super friendly. I ordered chicken nachos and they were delicious with just the right amount of toppings and the flavors were nice with a little spice. I will definitely come back to try other food and see Lisa. Place was so friendly and they were playing all kinds of good music. I really loved it but then everything flipped. Me and my partner were about to head out and he went to use the restroom. And a group of guys started to jump him. Mind you this is our first time there, I never expected for this to happened. We are young and a bunch of older man harmed him, beat him up in the restroom and when he tried to get away they came and attacked him as well in the parking lot. Nobody did anything to help, no security, nobody called the cops. Nothing. Men pushed me on the floor for trying to help him. Just frustrating and disgusted and disrespectful. New If I could leave NEGATIVE 0 stars I would. While eating my salad, I found a long strand of hair wrapped tightly and appears to have been cooked around a piece of bacon, deep down in the bottom of the container. I was eating all of 5 min before i found it. KEEP IN MIND my hair was PINNED UP and is extremely curly. This strand is long and straight and different texture too. I call and spoke to Olivia and explained. I've been here several times in the past with no issues, however you could see catering is meant for certain people. She immediately became argumentative as if she wanted to incite an altercation, or maybe having a bad day, no excuse though saying the chef is bald and no one else touched my salad. She was so argumentative and confrontational she even accused me of saying I'd eaten my WHOLE salad, (attaching photos)I never said that I said I was ENJOYING my salad when the hair was found. Well unfortunately my review for this establishment is not good. we went in to get corned beef and cabbage for St Patricks Day and we waited 30 minutes as other tables were getting their food. Our waitress came to check on our table once but gave no updates on our order until I asked for the bill for our drinks. I found this place at the end of 2022 and never had any issues with the young bar staff. Until February 2023, I was meeting up with friends who are a couple, and once I say at the bar I noticed a new face to me, behind the bar ( an older, very grumpy gentleman) I had one drink, while waiting for my friends and a young man offered me a drink. I told the bartender he was paying and the bartender waved sideways, almost like brushing me off. So, I repeated myself and he nodded and waved sideways at me again, and the young man said, "He knows. " I ignored it and went on with the night, my friends arrived and I don't remember the rest of the night. Has anyone else felt like they were roofied/drugged here? read more

Well it seems like some people have the power to take my reviews down. So let's start them all over. The general manager/owner needs to be on top of his venue, customer service still does exist but not at this location. Rain your staf properly before you leave them alone without gyudance. It's either the cook does not read the ticket order or the waitress does not enter the order correctly. Either way it is amazing how my order is always wrong. Went here on Sunday with a friend, we got some drinks and lemon pepper, teriyaki and BBQ bone in wings. The drinks were pretty cheap and are bartender was really nice. They had sports on TV and a big screen. Their BBQ wings were some of the best I ever had, I'd go back just for them. Are whole bill for everything was $70. I walked in around 5pm and was served nicely by the bartender that was there. There was a shift change shortly after having 2 drinks. I closed out my tab. The two new people working the bar never once asked me if I was ok or wanted another drink after my glass had been empty for over 30 minutes. The lady on my side of the bar asked the couple next to me on one side if they wanted something and also the gentleman on the other side of me if he wanted something. We wanted to watch some football & came here, it wasn't busy at all. The bartender just ignored the 2 of us for about 5 mins plus.....My co worker wanted to leave-got really pissed & uncomfortable but I said "no, just relax." The issue is just plain -don't come here if you enter & say "Hi, how are you?" And expect common civility. However, that said the bartender when she was bored enough of her regulars, or they went out for a smoke, or just plain left, she got to us. The 4 stars is for the food. I stopped in here the other night for a couple beers. Had two and closed out. Now , after I ordered my first beer, the bartender took and swiped my card and handed it back. A dude named Carson came up and asked if I'd been there before, or something to that effect. Asked my name and that was that. I drank my beer. Ordered another and said I'll close out. Bartender poured the beer and asked me if I wanted to close out. I said yes. He said he couldn't find the tab he'd started, some 30-45 minutes earlier. Mind you, there's this guy Carson, who seems to be an owner or manager, the bartender and 6 other patrons in the bar. No one else and no one else came in while I was there. So I hand the bartender my card, Again. He runs it. My total for 2 beers is $8.01. I tip $2.00, sign it and split. I decided to check my bank account in the morning. My $8.01 charge is there, but there's also a $15+ charge, both pending. I wait until 11am to call and I talk to a female. I tell her what's up and she explains to me that since the charges are still pending, there's nothing she could do and that once it did run I would have to come by the bar, explain what happened, fill out some fucking paperwork and then wait a week to be refunded money that they stole from me. My question is , how often do they pull this shit. read more

Bottom line, it's decent. Food and drinks: I had a Guiness and the fish and chips. The fish was a precut commercial cod patty that was pre-breaded then fried on site. It was good cod, but not great cod. I was hoping a secret Fish and Chip Gourmet connoisseur had come out of the closet and was trying to make a small statement from the back of an Irish Pub. Nope. It wasn't bad though. It wasn't "fishy". It was hot and the grease wasn't old (nor would it be on the third day of operation). I've had better and far worse. Generally, I enjoyed it but can't say I'll rave about it tomorrow. They get kudos for having malt vinegar on hand. It was also served with a small cup of tartar sauce (which I didn't try) and a couple of lemon slices. The fries were hot and freshly fried out of a bag/box as opposed to freshly cut. That's ok. They were good. There was no coleslaw (fish and chips. not fish, chips, and slaw). So that's it for the food. The menu had other bar type food on it (fried mushrooms and pickles) and half a dozen varieties of half pound burgers, a club sandwich, and a few other items. It wasn't extensive and I didn't expect it to be. The Guiness was good and served at the typical American ale refrigerator temperature you'd find most places here - in other words, it wasn't cool instead of cold. I'd bet most Texans don't want it just cool but some Irish pubs go for authenticity so I figured I'd point it out. They had a few other flavors of ales and Blue Moon for you barley haters. They also have a full service bar with all the liquors, liqueurs, and mixers. Interior: They haven't changed much from the prior owner's bar that went belly up which also didn't change much from the bar before that which closed because of relationship issues. (I drive by daily on the way to work for the last 11 years. The week after it closed back then, a large letter sign above the door said "You got what you wanted b**** I hope you are happy"). I digress. One side of the bar/ pub, has several pool tables and a handful of bar tables that aren't in the way of those playing pool. The other half is divided by the full service bar. One side has several small tables and 2 dart boards. Some dudes were playing darts. The other side has a handful of small regular heighth tables and a few video games along the front wall. There were three or four 1080p flat screen tv's around the place (about 40") showing the baseball game. Music playing was a mix of rap, country, rapping country, and one song that alternated between rap and country. Smoke: this place is more pub than grill. As such, there was smoking going on. It wasn't in my face or overwhelming but it wasn't smoke free. Service: The gal that waited on me was nice, fast, and helpful. cold beer blah food horrible service If you aren't a middle aged man chasing titties then they will absolutely ignore you. I sat in a table for 20 minutes and no one even acknowledged me. I had to go and find a waiter and ask for service! Once I did order it took then almost 40 minutes to serve me some lame nachos. The place was damn near empty, half way through the service, the cook comes out of the kitchen and sits down and starts lounging it up with the bar hoochies. Came in tonight, sat down with my friend in the front of the bar by the golden tees games, started playing golden tee , after 30 minutes of waiting for a server, I ended up going to the bar and asking if there was a waitress on duty, and ordered first round... finishing up second round now, ( over a hour now) and still haven't see a waitress.... usually swing by here on the way home once a week, but service seems to be getting worse lately. We tried giving this place a chance as a regular hang out after work for a few hours. The day shift bartender is beyond awesome but her shift is over right after we arrive. The evening shift is beyond horrible. It is always the same....the manager and the evening waitress never come and check on us. We always have to go to the bar to get a drink. We always tip well and spend quite a bit of money.....but they are too busy eating, smoking, drinking and playing pool to actual consider guest service. We will not be back! In addition, our bill is always different even though we drink the same thing each time! The owner, Daryl needs to reevaluate his staff.....they are running your paying customers off with their lack of service! read more
