The restaurant is clean and modern with a bright and welcoming aesthetic. The waitperson on staff was incredibly attentive and friendly; she was not confident in her English but my Spanish and her English combined were enough that all of our food (even with change requests) came out exactly as ordered and cooked to perfection. If you don't speak Spanish, don't let this dissuade you, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and knew exactly what my non-Spanish companions wanted without my subpar linguistic assistance. She made fantastic recommendations and accurately told us that everything on the menu was good. The menu had a great variety from shawarma to empanadas. The waitperson was very good about proactively telling us what they were out of (only a couple of things--lasagna and soup). I don't think you can go wrong with anything you can choose. I ordered the Pepito with mushrooms and chicken. It was AMAZING. Perfectly seasoned and so satisfying. My husband ordered a cordon bleu and a fish empanada along with a pizza pastele. Our daughter ordered the Venezuelan take on chicken shawarma. They greatly enjoyed their meals and we all enjoyed the mini empanadas we shared (two pork, two beef, and two chicken is the default). I also savored every drop of my Especial Super Sandys cocktail. The only drawback to this place is it is right next to my work, so I'm going to be constantly ordering from here or hating myself for not doing so. Edited to add: They were open until 11pm on the Tuesday night we went; some places online erroneously state 6pm as closing time.

It's advertised as Venezuelan cuisine and we had no idea what that meant. However, we do enjoy empanadas and they listed them on their menu. We ordered several pasteles and 1 empanada. I'm not sure what the difference is....they're both like a hand-held fried pie. The E's are larger than the P's. The ground beef variety was our favorite....VERY good. The ham and cheese was the next best. The pizza flavor was OK, but wouldn't order it again. The chicken variety was our least favorite. The creamy cilantro dipping sauce was amazing!! The staff was very attentive. Prices are fair. We can't wait to have more of those flavorful ground beef empanadas and try the other varieties too.

Cons: The wait time is terrible. If it wasn't for the food, they would lose another 2 stars. Customer service should never be taken lightly- after all, the customer is paying for the food. Return?: No. The wait time was so bad that I almost left. I almost cancelled the order because I had to wait 45 minutes for my food at a taco truck! That's crazy. Did they go and kill the cow first? You would have to wait a while but that never bothered me the food was SOOO AMAZING I would wait forever for this food! I live next to the truck yard in Alliance and I thought they were going to be a main food truck for them but they disappeared a while back and I've been passing by the truck yard every night checking to see if Strike came back. For the last three years I've thought about this food truck and I am so obsessed that I even told my boyfriend I needed to find this food truck in order to use them to cater for our future wedding! After some digging Google says they're permanently closed but I also found this yelp and just NEEDED to stop by and make a review to say "I STILL THINK ABOUT YOU" and i miss you! Does anyone know if this food truck is still open? If so where is it?? I owe some people introductions!!

After asking 3 times where my order was and after 40 minutes waiting, finally they said my order was ready right after they retrieved the bag from another customer because yes! They gave my order to another lady, not to mention that my empanada was not included. Bad service!
