    Arepas
    Christine C.

The arepas was really good! I showed my husband and picture of the fried fish. It appeared to be snapper so he was sold. We went here for an early lunch and we're happy they open early. When we got there, the young man behind the counter warned my husband they were out of snapper but they had tilapia. He opted for the national dish instead, pulled pork with rice and beans. I got a pork arepa, sans ketchup. The food came out quickly, along with a small carousel of sauces. I think he was bummed with his meat : beans and rice ratio (see attached). He was not particularly impressed with his dish. I think if they had snapper this place would absolutely be on the regular rotation. Okay but my arepa was really really good. It didn't need any additional sauce. It had a thick slice of cheese, crispy corn base, and had a pleasant, crisp pairing with shredded lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I loved it! I was full for the rest of the day.

We went to Mango Grill to try the food, but it wasn't exactly my favorite. The arepa had a bit too much cheese for my taste, and I didn't quite enjoy the flavor. The yuca was a little too greasy, and the service was just okay.

Talk about a delicious experience. They have a large variety of options that taste like authentic Venezuelan food. The Patacon was delicious and dissapeared in minutes. They don't have alcohol but do have plenty of soft drink options. It's a smaller location but has more than enough tables

This place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Been meaning to try this place for quite some time. When we got there, it was fairly empty, and we were greeted by the cashier. We ended up getting the pabellon criollo, the traditional Venezuelan dish, an Arepas with shredded beef (carne mechada) and an beef empanada. the pabellon criollo reminded me of ropa vieja where its shredded beefwith rice, beans and plantains. it was good, but the beef was a bit salty. The arepas was tasty, but it was messy to eat. Everything soaks into the bottom bread and makes it impossible to eat like a regular burger. And for the empanada it was simple, but a great snack. What i like most about this place is the sauce. They have 3 different sauces (4 if you count ketchup) that you can use. I don't know what goes into the sauce, but the red one and the green one were my favorite. Make sure you add the sauces to each bite you eat, it's definitely a flavor booster. They sell soda and drinks, but no fountain drink machine, so you'll no refills for free.

    Bandeja Urbana. Outstanding!

It's rare to discover a restaurant that is as exciting a foodie adventure as I have found Mango's Grill to be. Weirdly, we lived around the corner for almost five years and never made here, despite it sitting in my Bookmarks list due to great reviews. I think maybe the name was misleading? It does not suggest at all what the product actually is: superb Venezuelan food. I don't know any of the words on the menu. Your response to that sentence probably indicates whether we are the same kind of foodie. It's my favorite start to a foodie experience. Between Yelp pix and some menu photos, we chose the Bandeja Urbana appetizer, a sampler plate including several app choices, most of which I had ever seen before. It was *outstanding*. I tried the Arepa Grilled Meat (one meat), a sandwich with beef, cabbage, tomato, mayo (I skipped the ketchup), grilled cheese, and a cornbread-based bun. We also ordered a Parchita drink (passion fruit ) from the Traditional Venezuelan drinks menu. A bit high priced at $4.99 but delicious. On another visit I tried the Patacon, a sandwich with a plantain-based bun that comes in yellow or green, also with cabbage, tomato, onion, grated cheese, cilantro, and mayo (also skipped the ketchup on this one). It's amazing too, but I think I like the Arepa slightly better because of the cheese and sweetness in the bun. The inside is clean and cheerful, and they have counter service with a buzzer. Prices seemed a little high at first, but man it's hard to argue with how much I love the food here. I look forward to exploring the menu further!

Wow! Came in on a Sunday for a quick lunch while in town. Really amazing flavors. We ordered the cachapa con pernil, empanada de pollo mechado, pastelito de carne molida, and the sopa de pollo. It all came out to about $40. The food came out in about 15 min. It was very fresh and hot. My favorite was the empanada de pollo mechado and the sopa de pollo. But we left full and happy. Such a wonderful place with friendly people. Will definitely be back when I'm in Ft Worth.

Very delicious Venezuelan food at a good price point! Prices are reasonable and there's an array of foods to choose from that I think anyone would enjoy. I got their arepa and it was big! I chose the grilled steak and it was very filling. The restaurant was very clean and service was friendly. My food came out in like five minutes. Honestly the arepa could feed two people because I could not finish this!

Great location off of Western Center. This location was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The price was average I would give it 3 $$$. The food was good but A LOT of it was fried. I am not a huge fried eater so it wasn't the best but the meat was very tasty. I would recommend to try it once, I don't think I would eat here again

Yall. Real. Authentic. Venezuelan. Soul food. If you don't get the plantanachos, what are you even doing with your life. I also HIGHLY suggest the Bandeja Venezuela Tour and the regular Patacon with Pernil.... P.s. take a Tres Leches to go...you'll be too full to eat it there... The staff are so sweet and helpful. Don't be intimidated if you don't speak Spanish....please try this place...It was worth the drive & the $$$ We'll be back.... ((You KNOW it's good when you walk in and you are the only Non-Venezuelan guests in a full house of patrons...this is legit like the do it in )

Craving some Caribbean food, I ordered via GrubHub from Mango's Grill. The options were somewhat limited for vegetarians so I ordered the Pastelito de Queso and Empanada de Queso con Papa. Both were hot, crispy and delicious upon arrival, filled with potatoes and cheese. I'm excited to have high quality international options close to home and I look forward to dining in soon.

Love that we have this restaurant in the Fort Worth food scene now. The restaurant looks super spacious, clean, and laidback which was awesome. We were there on a Sunday night and only a handful of tables were full and while it looked like they were fully staffed, it still took a long time for us to get our check, etc. I would still recommend this place especially for the food, the food did not disappoint!

"Roast meat" is more like steak. Hubby is a carnivore and enjoyed the selection of meats available as "extras" so he was able to make his own dish with pork chops and chichharrones. I had the tostones appetizer with a delicious pink sauce and strips of perfectly grilled picaña beef (like at Brazilian Steakhouses) topped with chimmichurri sauce. I added their fried cheese which may have been my favorite bite. Great for large groups or just a regular old date. The restaurant is clean and modern with a bright and welcoming aesthetic. The waitperson on staff was incredibly attentive and friendly; she was not confident in her English but my Spanish and her English combined were enough that all of our food (even with change requests) came out exactly as ordered and cooked to perfection. If you don't speak Spanish, don't let this dissuade you, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and knew exactly what my non-Spanish companions wanted without my subpar linguistic assistance. She made fantastic recommendations and accurately told us that everything on the menu was good. The menu had a great variety from shawarma to empanadas. The waitperson was very good about proactively telling us what they were out of (only a couple of things--lasagna and soup). I don't think you can go wrong with anything you can choose. I ordered the Pepito with mushrooms and chicken. It was AMAZING. Perfectly seasoned and so satisfying. My husband ordered a cordon bleu and a fish empanada along with a pizza pastele. Our daughter ordered the Venezuelan take on chicken shawarma. They greatly enjoyed their meals and we all enjoyed the mini empanadas we shared (two pork, two beef, and two chicken is the default). I also savored every drop of my Especial Super Sandys cocktail. The only drawback to this place is it is right next to my work, so I'm going to be constantly ordering from here or hating myself for not doing so.
