Run by a sweet & kind abuela, it's a great place to get a real Mexican meal at a decent price....as long as it's not summer. My Overall Rating - 3 1/2 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - You'll find Pizca De Oaxaca Taqueria inside a minimart. It's long, wide hallway with a kitchen at the end. Heads up, if it's summer, expect it to be hot inside. It has lots of colorful decoration on the walls and the menu can be found on the chalk board. Visit after October so you don't melt to death. 1/2 Star. Service - It's cash only, and the kind abuela will be your server and cook. She was very kind and was patient as I took my time to review the menu to order. 1 Star. Food - Honestly, the food was just ok. Now, I really enjoyed the Mexican-style street tacos. You get three to an order, and they're not super large, so I recommend you eat this first. The Mexican beans and rice were delicious. I would order this on its own. 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Only if I'm in the area. I love holes-in-the-wall restaurants, but my visit to Pizca De Oaxaca Taqueria occurred during the summer, so the restaurant was very hot. So while meals were just ok, I love hole-in-the-wall restaurants that are found off the beaten path. 1/2 Star

It's got a luxurious feel without feeling pretentious. The meats were delicious! I loved how they cook it both, rare and medium. I just love my stuff super rare so I loved that. The top sirloin was my favorite of all the meats. Loved loved the roasted cinnamon pineapple. Paired it with the custard/flan and it was perfection! Last think was the potato salad was one of the best I've ever had, so good. The salad bar was nice and made a salad that I wash I had taken a pic of as all the produce was so fresh. Loved their huge tomatoes. I just can't say enough about this place. It's a hidden gem! Can't wait to go back!!!

The restaurant is very small and has only one toilet in the women's restroom and one in the men's, which is especially inconvenient when serving large parties. The fried bananas were flavorless, drinks do not come with refills, and they don't have cups with lids for children to help prevent accidental spills. The chicken lasagna from the salad bar was good, and the fresh limeade was definitely a highlight. At $40 per person, it is about $10-$15 cheaper than some competitors, but the lower price was reflected in the overall experience. I would rather spend a little more elsewhere for better accommodations and a more enjoyable group dining experience.
