Went back again because I just love their food!!! Had the Ain't No Chicken Club with Disco Fries and a Strawberry Shake with Pretzels. I was starving so there's only a pic of the shakes that mini-me and I had. Definitely going back! The employees are so nice and the dining room was clean, inviting and cooly decorated (if that makes sense). read more

Twisted Root Burger Co. never misses. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is fun and laid-back, and the menu has so many creative options it's hard to choose. I went with a juicy burger cooked perfectly, loaded with fresh toppings and packed with flavor. The fries were hot, seasoned just right, and definitely shareable (but I didn't ). What really sets Twisted Root apart is the quality--you can taste that everything is made fresh. The staff was friendly, quick, and made the experience even better. If you're looking for a solid burger spot with personality, great food, and a chill atmosphere, this is the place. I'll definitely be back. read more

Every time I order from here, it's consistently good. The quality is outstanding for various types of protein. The pricing is definitely more expensive than your typical burger. Service is pretty quick but it does depend on the time of day that you go read more

I visited this restaurant for the first time with a couple of family members and had a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant was fairly easy to find, conveniently located, free parking available nearby, we were welcomed by a friendly employee as we entered, they had a nice looking menu with a variety of burgers and other entrees including salads, prices were averagely priced, the food was ready in about 10 minutes and was served hot, was delicious, the service was very good, the dining room and our table was clean, did not smell, and was interestingly decorated, there was a variety of nice looking, comfortable seating, music was playing, and I don't know if they had free WiFi. read more

If you are into burgers, try Twisted Root. The burgers are cooked medium-well so, order accordingly. They have unique fountain drinks and sauces that are worth trying. The star of the show is the pickle bar. The restaurant has a nice vibe and the lobby is usually clean. However, the few times I have been, the bathrooms needed help. read more

Have now been to a few different locations and can confidently say the burger's are damn good across the board. This location has a sizable indoor seating area + a bar as well. You order at the counter when you walk in and then pay and get a number. We went with the fried pickles, I got the burger of the month, which at the time was a whole lotta bacon, I believe it was called the Kevin bacon. Super solid patty, great bun, fresh toppings. Plenty of different unique burger and chicken sandwich combos. Love that they have different types of pickles in barrels you can grab and eat tableside and add to your burger. Service was quick, solid place for a quick bite. read more

As a burger enthusiast and honestly I would consider myself a burger expert and makes really good burger myself. I have been on a mission to find the best burger joint in US and given thier 2000 plus reviews on Google I decided to give them a try, tried the western and the big Tex, I would give them both 5/10, honestly there isn't much difference between the two. The burger is loaded with bacon, fried onions and flavors which is a good thing, but the burger itself is dry and to a point where it cooked well done. They don't have very cheap coattails and Excellent happy hour menu, a good place to watch game and have drinks. Servers are very nice and down to earth and service is top notch I would consider the place to be more for drinks rather than burger read more

Good crispy regular seasoned fries that came outta the oven. The big Tex and western were good tasty burger but I would say the burger meats for both were really dry. Fav pickles: sweet n spicy and the atomic. Service was quick and easy. Ambiance is like a burger beer bar with tvs around. read more

Shroom burger was cooked as requested and veggies were fresh but the fries were so overly salted we couldn't eat them. Disappointing bar stock, couldn't make my usual deep eddy and tonic or expresso martini. Settled on a margarita that was watered down. Dirty tables and lack luster service marred the visit. Not as good as it used to be. read more

One of my favorite burger spots. A little pricey but worth every dollar spent! I've tried so many burgers and even salads! Love it!

A successful lunch on a Sunday! Staff is friendly & funny, even if just a few sentences we had an amusing interaction with a gentleman that was clearing the tables. The girl who took our order was all nice, everyone had a smile on their faces. The burgers are delicious, they come with standard with lettuce & tomatoes. A bit messy but only because they are juicy! Don't forget the pickles, I always enjoy how Twisted Root has a variety that you can grab to your hearts content. I had the cheese curds with my All American burger (cheese & bacon), they were soft & gooey just as they should be. Restaurant was clean, great space with a chill vibe. Fun atmosphere. I love how instead of numbers to call out your order it's a person, although I was Miss Ellie & my friend had to explain to me who that was, lol... especially since I grew up in DFW. Within walking distance from parking, there's availability upfront & surrounding it. Fast service with good food. read more

Such a cute spot! I was visiting Arlington with my family for the weekend and we popped in here for dinner on a Thursday night. The staff were so friendly and I liked how the bar and food counters were separate. It made for quick service. Our burgers were great and we enjoyed the loaded fries as well, but the real highlight was the self serve pickle bar! We tried all the flavors. This was such a fun addition to the restaurant that and it really made it memorable. read more

Same excellent food, service and ambiance. Just came back from another awesome trip from Twisted. Hadn't been in for awhile, comforting to know they were still the same old Twisted Root! They are still a go-to hamburger site. Carry on friends read more

Food was great, however the real treat here (for us) is the variety of homemade pickles. Personally, I could make a meal of the bread and butter ones, but they are all great. The service is good, basically go and order at the counter, get your name (I think we were one of the Golden Girls) and wait for your food to arrive. The decor was a bit confusing to me (truck tailgate hanging on a wall) but fun in general. Overall a good experience and we're pleased to find that there is a location closer to our home. read more

Good solid 4! We came here to try a bit of everything so we split a shroom burger and the sampler platter. They also had a pickle bar!! So I'm not a huge deep fried person but it was interesting eating carrots and green beans that way, lol. The food was reasonably priced and tasted great. Just don't come here on a diet or for healthy eating. Lots of ambiance! read more

You want a really good burger, along with some amazing pickles, and the bar in the restaurant? Yeah this is the place. Been living here in Arlington for a few years and I've come to really enjoy twisted Root. Every time I come in here I always look for the special so get the special. This time I actually had the buffalo burger and cider fries and of course a fountain drink There's plenty of seeding, and parking is a little tricky, but if you don't mind walking for a little bit, you can definitely park on the street around the establishment. What I like about this place is that you can also get several varieties of pickles. They actually come sliced but you can choose from spicy to normal and the different brines that they have. They do have TVs around the establishment but they're not too loud, I have not been there during major events or major games., but I'm sure they will turn the volume up if there's a big game on Would I recommend this place? Absolutely, just go if you're in the area and you're needing a nice Burger read more

We went on Christmas Eve and we definitely enjoyed our time there. The burgers were amazing! The service was awesome as well. Our server at the bar Meri was so attentive and was very pleasant to have around. The atmosphere was nice. Enjoyed the pickle bar they had, I love pickles. Will definitely return to the Arlington, TX location. 5 stars all around! Definitely good burgers! read more

Hadn't been to this location in quite a long time. Decided to try it again since they have an outdoor patio. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger which was quite good. They also have a pretty large choice of draft and can beer. Friends of mine ordered french fries and onion rings. The french fries were excellent while the onion rings were very greasy. Would not order those again. All in all was very satisfied read more

$8.66 for one Deep Ellen Ila on draft pint at Twisted root, just saying. We go to a lot of nice restaurants in Fort Worth and I'm use to paying a slight markup for craft beer, but this is a bit excessive when the bartender expects a tip too. The beer lines were not cleaned, tasted old. read more

We are from California and the burgers here are scrumptious! I had the mushroom burger. Not sure what my bf had but we couldn't stop raving how yummy and good, We like how it was prepared! Most places like to load up on sugar on every dishes.. We opt out the fries due to our eating lifestyle. We tried all their pickles though. Again, scrumptious! The meat are juicy. Rare to find restaurants who don't overcook the burgers these days. We plan to come back and invite bunch of our tennis friends and neighbors too. We enjoyed dining here! The burgers are all delicious, the interior decor is so quirky and cool and I love the fact they have home made flavoured pickles in barrels to add to your burgers as you wish. First time trying this place and we're definitely coming back to try the other burgers. The Western was my favorite. All the flavors go so well with each other and I just devoured it all. Haha the twisted fries were a great side too. Very filling and I was very satisfied with the food. The staff were also really nice, while we waited for our food, since it was to go. The decor of the place was also pretty cool, since they had a vintage RV inside. Make sure to try this place out if you're ever in the area or in need of a great burger. read more

**Tip-shaming Alert** While my overall experience here was a good one, it should be noted that this is a counter service restaurant, and patrons are put on the spot (digitally) to tip upon pre-paying for the meal. For those who are unfamiliar with my opinion on this practice, I despise it. I first remember experiencing it at a drive-thru window, and it has popped up more and more ever since. These days, the option to tip regularly appears on the iPad at the cash register ... in the presence of the person who would receive the gratuity. I am hardly opposed to tipping. In fact, I've gotten myself into budget trouble by over-tipping at times. But when you make a regular hourly wage and you simply complete the task of entering my order in a computer, you have not earned my extra hard-earned dollars. Now, to the restaurant review... This place is fun. I'm not sure of the theme, and perhaps that's on purpose, but the interior features picnic style tables, a faux RV and restrooms that resemble port-a-potties. While I was appreciative of the effort to make the restrooms entertaining, it would have been nice had there been paper towels in the dispenser. At noon, I'm fairly certain that they had not been slammed with people washing their hands. This was simply an oversight by the management. Order at the counter and pick it up when they call the whimsical Hollywood name they've given you (I was Optimus Prime). The folks here are nice. The young lady working the counter was distracted, I believe, because I had to repeat my order to her multiple times. Fortunately, everything came out correctly ... except the 'pink' in my burger was grey. One of the kitschy hooks here is the house made pickles. Though they did not taste like they were brined in the kitchen, I was thrilled to be able to load my burger with the amount of dill slices of my choosing. Once more, fun. The burger is good. It was cooked beyond medium, which is the default order here (according to the menu), but it was still juicy and flavorful. The fries are cut and fried in-house. I'm not usually a fan of fresh fries because most places tend to serve them limp. This joint, however, pulled it off wonderfully. Sodas here are a private brand that uses only sugar. The fountain root beer is pretty good. Despite that the menu said they offered an IPA, the young lady at the counter looked at me crooked when I attempted to order one. There is work to do here, and it begins with the management. Still, this is a decent place to grab a burger, if you can find street parking. read more

Why did it take us so long to come here? Shame on me. Twisted Root is noisy, laid back burger joint, that serves up a great tasty burger. I'm a "go big" kinda guy, and after looking at the burger options, I had to go with, "The Millionaire". Picture an open-faced knife + fork burger with wagyu beef, aged cheddar, truffle aioli, garlic mushrooms, bacon, dark beer sauce, crispy tobacco onions. Yep, Go big. I tried to eat it without a knife and fork, but I couldn't do it. The beef was cooked perfectly med-rare, as requested, and all the ingredients worked so well together, and the flavor was fantastic! My wife ordered the lots of shroom burger, med-rare, and she loved it. We split an order of hand-cut fries, and onion strings. Well, I meant to "share", but the onion strings were so good, I ate them before sharing. Sorry babe! I did try a couple of the fries, and they were good as well. My wife had a couple of Twisted Mule cocktails, and she loved them. Twisted Root does not have a large draft selection, but of course, all I needed was 'a draft' beer, and I went with the Shiner Bock...OK, a few Shiner Bock. Make sure you grab some pickles, pick up your food, have a beverage or two and sit back and enjoy and relax. Stay hungry my friends... read more

Always delicious, fresh and fulfilling. I can't tell you how often I've been there... It's really close to my friends house, so where always there, all the time. Always a good time. Always delicious. Spacious location! I've been to the Twisted Root in Deep Ellum and enjoyed the food and ambience, so when I saw we were close to one in this part of town we decided to make it our dinner on our first night of our vacation. The employees were very friendly, it was nice the Managers also did a stroll by of all the tables to check on everyone and even cleared some plates while doing so. The only reason for 4 stars was truly my burger being over cooked and dry, with it being over cooked it made it seem like it lacked in seasoning...i know, even with everything on it, it seemed to me missing something! The cheese fries were okay, my boyfriend wasn't much of a fan. I enjoyed them. He enjoyed all the pickles offered. Im not a pickle person so I didn't have any. Overall great experience in a nice part town. The night we weren't there was an art fair behind the building and a concert in the park down the street! Made for a great night out! read more

Good Burger. I ordered the Gosh Jam It. Has a great tasting jam with Herbed goat cheese, tomato-bacon-habanero jam, chipotle sauce. Very tasty and different!! Friendly service and they accept Apple Pay. The French Fries are hand cut. They offer six different types of pickles which my sister enjoyed. The parking can be difficult it's mostly in the back. This is a good burger. I have visited the location in coppel a couple of times and this was my first time here. It is in the middle of down town Arlington. It looks like it has been here a while but that may just be the aesthetics. Now to the food. I got a burger on top of lettuce. That's been my thing here lately. The patties were cooked medium well and were cooked to perfection. All the ingredients were fresh and it has def crept its way on my top burger list. I tried a couple of the fries and they were very tasty. The jalapeños are not for the weak however. They were hotter than the atomic pickles. It's been a couple of year but they did not disappoint. read more

I don't usually go out of my way for a vegan burger but will definitely go back to the nearest Twisted Root as soon as humanly possible. The homemade veggie patties have amazing taste and texture that harkens back to a time when restaurants didn't rely on Impossible and Beyond products to satisfy the plant eaters. The bun, sauce, and toppings were carefully selected to compliment this burger and it wouldn't be complete without a side of their house-chopped fries or chips. One of my favorite parts about coming here was the giant vats of sweet, savory, and spicy pickle chips you can pile on your plate at no additional charge. The soda and iced tea options were also a brand I've never heard of that seemed like you were getting real flavors and came sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. There aren't a ton of vegan joints in Arlington, so I highly recommend paying Twisted Root a visit. read more

Came for the food - stayed for the conversation (and wiping off the grease from my hands). The Millionaire | 7/10 Honestly, I think I would've rather enjoyed a burger with some crunchy jalapeños and local bison meat as opposed to this guy here. This burger is a bit tall - and the onion rings / bacon can be a bit extra. The Wagyu meat was deliciously crafted! Twisted root has some fantastic burgers - so you can't really go wrong!.. however, they all are pretty greasy when it comes down to it. You may end up spending most of your time pulling napkins and wiping off your hands. The aesthetic of the place is awesome / hip / cool / "groovy." There's literally an RV with beer taps hooked up to it. We came for food and conversation - and it was perfect; however, it can get rather loud, so it may not be the BEST place for dates / business meetings. Also, I'm sure the exterior / interior decor's faded / bar-top feel is a big part contributing factor to the "vibe," but it does make it feel a little dirty. Delicious food though! read more
