Cheb Hut is a different concept for a sandwich shop at least with decorations. I have only been to this location. The decor does not bother me but some may be offended. It's funny to me. Cool store with a large bar area with Televisions. Plenty of booths but if busy the seat will fill up at lunch time. You can sit outside on the tables on the sidewalk. Check out the menu on the website or get the App because the sandwiches have funny names and it makes it easier to pick one when you get to the register. I had the White Widow Nug 4 inch and my husband had the 5-0 Pinner 8 inch . Both were very good, the 5-0 was better. The meal comes with chips and drinks. I really want to find a top-notch sandwich shop! I just tried Cheba Hut for the first time, and it's ok, but it doesn't quite hit what I'm looking for. I really enjoy Roast Beef and Horseradish on a sandwich, so I went with the KGB. Although the Beef and Horseradish flavors were good, the entire sandwich just didn't come together. The cold vegetables take away from the rich savory quality that I want from this kind of sandwich, and I realize "toasted" is a play on the Cheba theme, only the bread is toasted, and the rest is a cold deli sandwich. I love this sandwich spot, my husband and I used to go to when we lived in San Diego so I'm glad that they now have it in Texas. Sandwiches are always good but I must say that my sandwich wasn't the best. The Kali mist is my go to and I got it with a sliver of avocado and it was missing the jalapeños, I did not say that I didn't want jalapeños so there's that. My husband liked his sandwich, he had no complaints. Service was not as good, the girl that took my order looked like she didn't care about doing her job, no smiles, no thank you, nothing. I frequent a hxc venue across the street from Cheba hut so on show nights I find myself here pretty often. I have yet to really find anything on the menu I actually enjoy though, and really only come for convenience. The staff are always wonderful and kind and the actual dining room has a wonderful vibe and theming. Their rice crispy cakes defintely take the cake for me though! read more

Delicious, toasted and stuffed. One of the best subs I have had in a while. I do not like everyone's tuna but theirs is top tier. Spicy, savory and delicious. We got a couple of subs to share snd one was a customized one. Both were delicious. The bread doesn't get soggy after a few minutes and that is a plus. They warm back up great! We had leftovers so we heated them up and they were still good! The staff were so incredibly sweet and helpful. I have had CH in Colorado and thought it was good, but this was a great visit and it's close enough to pop by often. Their app is also super nice. You get rewards just for downloading it! An upgrade from subway/jimmy johns but not as swanky as an East Hampton sandwich co - cheba is a great stop for a quick bite to eat with many tasty sandwich options. I forget what it was called but I got the smaller sandwich option. At first I was worried when I saw it come out but the size ended up being perfect for lunch with chips and a drink. Can't wait to go back! The whole place is decorated like a pot head's dream dorm room but you don't have to enjoy the ambiance to love the food! Today I visited this location for the second day in a row! Great atmosphere and decor! Friendly staff! I was surprised they have a full bar with a nice selection of craft beer! That's definitely going to draw me back for an evening meal or a weekend lunch! They have an extensive menu of toasted subs! I'd recommend downloading their app and ordering on that for lunch! All of their subs have weed related names. Don't smoke - no problem they're not serving anything that has marijuana just creative names. My first visit I arrived around 11:15 and ordered the KGB - Roast Beef with horseradish sauce. These are artisan subs they take a bit to come out. I was a bit disappointed when it arrived at my table and turns out a trainee made it and missing some ingredients. It's was quickly corrected and boy it was good! These things happen at new places and I appreciate the great customer service. My second visit today, I ordered the Kali Mist - Spicy Club Sandwich and I was in heaven! Finely sliced FRESH jalapeno and chipotle mayo gave it the perfect heat! I ordered ahead on the app and my toasted subs was hot and ready when I arrived. I had forgotten to order a drink and when I approached the register to order one they thanked me for coming back and gave me a drink for free - well trained great staff! If I could leave ZERO STARS, I would! I had a bad experience at Cheba Hut. And when my wife posted about it. Yelp took it down because I wasn't the one that wrote it. That shouldn't even matter. She was doing what I didn't want to. Leaving a review. So here goes. The food was not as good as usual. And the guy that took my order was NOT nice. Or even cordial. In fact, I felt like it couldn't have been a bigger WATE OF HIS TIME for him to take my order. The order was made right. But super sloppy. And they failed to complete my order correctly. I ordered 2 of their super overpriced cookies. And they didn't make it with my food. And when I asked about it I didn't get an offer to replace them. Only an offer to write a review.
