Best consistent service out of any restaurant I've been to. There is a tall guy there who walks around sometimes to put napkins on tables, asks how everything was. Tried this little gem today for lunch. I had the Alamo and it was delicious. With all these sub shops opening all over I forgot how much I love a good panini. They were out of turkey and I was kinda disappointed but I'm actually glad because it forced me to try something different and I was more than happy with the end result. The staff were very friendly and helpful since I hadn't been there before. Inside is so cute, highly recommended sitting in one of the more closed off rooms. It makes it more intimate and relaxing. It's your choice of bread (they recommended the croissant but obvi I get gluten free) with ham or turkey, apple slices, caramel, mozzarella cheese, and mayo. Yep. Weird that this place was advertised to me as a coffee, so I was disappointed when I entered the shop that they only had pre made jug refrigerated coffee off to the side. Just be aware their 20 person platter only give half a sandwich per person so either order for double the amount or plan for sides! If you want a panini this is the place to come! It was pretty exceptional. I got the Alamo (with extra tomatoes) and it was so good! The bread they use gives the best bite of flavor. My husband got the High Noon and it was also quite the exception. His had a great heat in each bite of jalapeño. Next time I will for sure be adding jalapeño. The only thing I critique is their "fries". I mean...let's call them slivered potato chips if we are being honest here. Kinda just a mess on the plate and not worth being a side. However paying only 50 cents more for a salad is way worth it! We each got potato soup along with our meal. Very well made! My son chopped his grilled cheese down too! I hit this place during the early part of the lunch rush on a weekday, and they were already out of roast beef, despite it being a key ingredient in half their sandwiches. I can understand running out of some obscure condiments or something, but if they can't properly stock their own basic staples, they shouldn't be open. Service was friendly, but that's about all I can say that's good. The eldritch abomination sandwich I ordered with a different meat subbed for roast beef was barely edible. I came here really craving roast beef and left with a belly full of disappointment. Furthermore, at least one of the other people in my party had a terrible sandwich as well, and this person hadn't had to try and do triage and build a Frankenstein sandwich to make up for this place's lack of basic ingredients. The bread was nice, the chicken was good and a good amount in the sandwich. The chipotle Mayo was enjoyable. I was disappointed it wasn't sliced avocado in the sandwich but what appeared to be avocado 'purée'. I wasn't keen on the sun dried tomatoes either - too chewy - next time I'd just ordered without. I overheard a lot of people ordering the soup with their meal, I'd definitely be interesting in trying their soup of the day. Very old skool mom and pops country style going on inside the restaurant. I had no idea this place existed and it's in an area I have never been to in Arlington. A friend found this place, she is gluten free and they had options her. This place is pretty small and definitely had an older feel to it inside and out. A lot of the sandwich options seemed similar, just with different meats, so I don't even remember what I got! My sandwich was so good, very flavorful, i liked the bread a lot too. On my way out I got a coconut cream pie to- go. I am so glad I did! That thing was delicious! The John Wayne and the Roast beef with a side of Au jus dipping gravy. Both sandwich's came with potato sticks and a cookie. I wasn't fond of the potato sticks at all. I would rather have chips. However; the sandwiches were awesome. They were smaller than the pictures depict on Yelp but tasty nonetheless. The place was packed. There was no where to sit in the small dining area and there was a line of 10 plus people waiting to order. I was happy that I ordered online. Overall the food was tasty but in the future I would order a salad or soup as a side to replace the potato sticks. read more

I always heard this place is an Arlington staple, and I'm so glad to finally be able to visit a few times. The shop is off the beaten path in a very unassuming building, but don't let that fool you. Everything here is amazing, from the staff to the food. The owners are very friendly, check on customers often, and it is very obvious that they are highly involved in the running of their store. The redheaded young lady that works behind the register is always smiling, very friendly and professional. Also very helpful! My orders are usually complicated and she never bats an eye at them, and they always come out perfectly. The food is amazing, tastes very fresh, and the staff does a great job of getting things out in a timely manner. The tea is great too!
