Yay, we're going to Al's to meet a couple of friends for dinner. They live close and love the restaurant as much as we do. Al's has an incredible legacy in Arlington of seven decades, yep, sever decades. Melinda, our server looked so darn cute with the pig bowl in her hair I had to get a selfie with her. She took our drink orders and was buzzing around all over the place taking care of her customers. She made each table feel very special. My wife ordered her fav, just a regular burger with fries. I ordered a chili cheeseburger with rings. After a short wait there was Melinda delivering our burgers and fries. Oh yummy, Al's never fails us, never! She brough up dessert and had on the menu a Brown Sugar Butter cake topped with Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla. It was probably one of the most delectable desserts I've had in a long time. I love Butter Cakes. Thank you, Melinda, for the wonderful time and Al's for the incredible burgers. We'll be back again soon. read more

Great spot for a burger. Heard good things, so I've been here on several occasions over the last few months. Burgers always on-point, pricing VERY good, and a great value. Fries are outstanding! Definitely not the pale, limp, and lifeless fries you'll find elsewhere. Big winner for me is the double Patty Melt.. double meat & cheese plus grilled Jalapeños. Friendly and attentive staff, good atmosphere. I drive from Dallas, but it's worth it! read more

You know the saying, "you get what you pay for "? It's true at Al's Hamburgers. Worth every penny (or is it nickel now?). I was greeted at the door and sat at a table. Took my drink order and waiter came promptly to take my order. Ended up getting the double patty melt and it did not disappoint. Perfectly toasted bread, carmelized onion, and melted cheese with fresh tasting, hot-off-the-grill beef patties that were so tender. Not tough or chewy at all. Had the tots to round it off which were crisp, fresh, and delicious. Can't wait to try other menu items as they look to have a few winners. "You can call me Al" 's burger customer for life! read more

Food is consistently good. Daytime waitresses not good with groups or requests. Spoils the eating out experience. Will limit our occasions to meet there. read more

This is just one of these places that you will always remember. Hamburgers the way we remember, and thought we would never taste again...they are here. Frito Pie like I never thought I would find in a restaurant....it's here. The fries and rings that we used to share with our friends with an ice cold soda....they are here too. And the friendly staff...so rare to find in service industries today...are here as well. Do yourself a favor and visit this place as often as you can. It's the best burger joint around! read more

If you are looking for a good burger, made to order, with numerous toppings, sizes, variations...check out Al's Hamburgers. I've been here a couple times, each time it's been really good. I've had a cheesesteak, and it was well made too. Burger patties are fairly large, just the right amount of grease, loaded with cheese and toppings. Fries were a little dry during this visit, but not bad. It happens. Location is large, service is good. Lots of Rangers memorabilia on the walls, small bar near the front, and an open view of the grill area. read more

Just wanted to give an update on Al's Hamburgers. This new location is very nice with plenty of seating. Nice outdoor seating if you want outdoor eating during nice weather. This is a diner setting where you sit down and order. They also have more than just hamburgers. A complete menu with salads, chicken fried steak, meatloaf, just about everything. I really like the double double hamburger with onion rings cooked extra crispy. The service is the best, very nice and friendly. The price is not cheap, around 32.00 dollars for 2 double double meals plus tip. I feel it is worth it for the quality of a hot and juicy burger with great service. read more

Al's Hamburgers - Double Double with onion rings - Burgers Near Me - Arlington, Texas

I can't believe I've never been here, I've lived in this area forever & this was the first time I step foot in Al's Hamburgers. Staff was so polite, I am not sure who the girl was that greeted me as I walked in but as I made my way toward my friends she took my drink order... she wasn't even our waitress. Ms. Betty was our waitress. She arrived to take my drink order promptly as the other young lady was bringing my drink, great teamwork! Ms. Betty checked in on us just often throughout our time there & wasn't overbearing... she was superb! Apparently my friends go here often, I asked what they recommend & they said there hasn't been anything they didn't like. The only thing they said was that the fries were so-so. I ordered a cheeseburger with onions rings, it was a good choice. Wonderful service, great tasting food that comes out quickly, clean establishment with affordable prices! read more

Al's Hamburgers - Al's classic cheese burger with split order of fries and onion rings - Burgers Near Me - Arlington, Texas

Been going to Al's since I was a kid in the 80's we used to go to the original location. Then we went to the "new" location on Green Oaks and 157. The "newest" location is very nice! Not as cool as the original, but I like it better than the 2nd. The fries are the same as they have always been. The burgers were good. In my opinion they need to be smashed a little more. Service was great. The crowd on a Wednesday night was on the older side Not many burger places like this left. Pretty awesome that the newest location is next to a Mama's Pizza! IYKYK We will go back for sure! read more

Of course an update to my previous review They have the best burgers in the area. I would recommend the Big Al The staff always have been friendly and helpful. The location is easy to find and there is always plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors Yes I will be returning read more

It's a Diner. It's good. The service was fine and we were seated very quickly. The food is typical southern comfort diner quality, but tastes good. If you're wanting a culinary adventure this isn't your place. For a diner though, you won't be disappointed. The restaurant is fairly large. You won't feel like you're stacked on the next guests. The noise level is quiter than most restaurants. Overall, it's a fine neighborhood favorite diner. You'll like it. read more

Cheeseburgers, fries, onions rings were all very good. Drinks were great as was service, friendliness, cleanliness.

Oh, Al's. You make a great cheeseburger. An affordable cheeseburger. A classic diner-style cheeseburger with thin patties and lots of gooey American cheese, dressed "Texas Style" with bright red tomatoes, plenty of crisp lettuce, onions, and mustard. Jon and I each had the "famous double double" with fries for $10.79, mine was bun-less and I upgraded to sweet potato fries. Delicious. The fries were super hot and crispy and the burgers had great seasoning. I'm not used to those thin hamburger patties but they were so good and filling. I ate them both and couldn't finish my fries. Al's has been around in Arlington for a long time but it's still pretty new to it's current location in Fielder Plaza. I think it's a great addition to the shopping center, a classic American diner with a bar. The menu isn't just burgers, they have lots of great comfort food like chili, chicken fried steak, stuffed hamburger steak, pot roast and mashed potatoes, meatloaf and green beans, quesadillas, grilled cheese, sausage dip, soup. Certainly something for everyone. This is a very casual, bright, open, family-friendly atmosphere with a small bar. It's a large, spread out space. Clean and comfortable with really friendly service. It can get pretty busy during lunch rush and breakfast, but food comes out quickly. Hot and delicious! read more

We have been going here for years with no issues. Baseball game break with our dog. We sat on the far end of the patio and there was only one other couple on the other far end of the patio and they told us only service dogs are allowed. Wake up management and use discretion. read more

Went into the store looking to do a to go order and they were very quick with their service! The waitresses were nice and attentive. I got the double double and it was more than enough food. The burger was tasty and very filling. I would definitely recommend Al's! read more

The food is always hot and fresh. Fries are amazing fresh cut fries. Cooked to order. Had the Swiss-mushroom burger. Cheese is well melted for it has a great pull on it. Did I mention the fresh cut fries to order. Only cooked when you order them so not sitting in a lamp all day. read more

Al's Hamburgers - Burgers Near Me - Arlington, Texas

Ordered Monday evening, before 6pm Order was ready in ten minutes, like they stated over the phone. $11 for burger and fry. (Al's Big burger) 1/3 pound. Big is a misnomer. If this was the size of their "big" burger, I could never order a regular-sized one. Customer service was EXCELLENT. The lady behind the counter who took my card was very sweet. They smiled and were friendly (smile is in the eyes, nowadays). I'm a burger snob. I try to preface with this.......I won't be back for another hamburger. It wasn't very good to me- nothing spectacular. Lettuce, tomato, cheese. No onion. Not as seasoned as I would've liked. Not as "big." I'm not sure if on the menu they warn that the burger isn't well done, but there was pink throughout. Not a big issue for me, though- Fries were homemade, some burnt tasting. I smelled them as I drove home. If given the chance, I wouldn't reorder them simply because I don't like those kinds of fries- hand cut. For someone who does, it wouldn't be a problem- so order away! I may give it another try one weekend. A different menu item- only because the customer service. That's all. read more

I got a triple burger. We also had the chili burger w onions. Our 9 year old loved it. The flavor was perfect. Our 10 year old got a regular cheese burger. She loved it! I could taste butter in my bites!! The only thing that was not good were the regular fries. No salt and no flavor. But the onion rings and sweet potatoes fries were very good. Nice crunch to the both of them. Oh and the jalapeño bacon is insane! Very good. The waitress was super friendly. And it was pretty clean inside and outside. We sat outside. It was nice. read more
