This place is the real deal, every time i am in the area I try to stop by and get me some sandwiches. This is a small chain of restaurants and they have a location here in arlington, one in north richland hills and another one in garland. They use fresh bread when making their sandwiches and you can tell the difference it makes. Fresh bread has a nice crunch to it and I can tell the difference when its a day old bread. I once went to a restaurant in the area and purchase a banh mi and the bread was chewy, in a bad way. Don't get me wrong, it was good and edible but it does not compare to the crunchy crispy bread that saigon deli uses. Plus that sandwich as this restaurant was like $7 compared to the ones from saigon that is only $5. If you purchase 3 sandwiches you technically get the 4th one for free. I get this offer and eat one there, give the other one to my brother, save one for lunch for work the next day and save one for dinner that next day as well. The drinks I had from there are very tasty but i only had about 3 of them, still recommended getting some of those. They also have can soda and bottle water. Also don't sleep on the eggrolls they sell, if they have any left over. My only complaint that I have is that if you get here an hour or two before closing they will most likely be limited on the kinds of sandwiches they have. I been there an hour before closing they are out of everything except the combination. Which is fine but my favorite is the pork and the pork floss. Also those jalapenos that they put in there are spicier than you think so beware. The lady at the cash register is always nice and never had an issue with their service. The service is great and the sandwiches are made fairly quickly even with how many order they need to make since they usually receive larger amounts. I would recommend calling in advance to place your order and usually it is ready by the time you arrive. My aunt got us an order to go from here after my cousin recommended it and it was one of the best Vietnamese sandwiches I've had. The bread was soft and chewy (not hard and tough like a lot of places do it), the meat was plentiful (grilled pork), and it was large and filling. She packed all the veggies on the side (I'm guessing to avoid sogginess). I've had Saigon deli in garland, but I forgot they had one in arlington. Decided to try it and see if it was the same quality, and I would have to say the banh mi was pretty solid, and it was only 5$ which is nice compared to some other banh mi places. I got the banh mi dac biet which is the combination, and I think the ratio of everything in the banh mi was good. I loved the amount of pate that was put it in. It was a pretty solid banh mi. I also got the banh bao to try, but it wasn't my favorite, I feel like it had a weird aftertaste to it, but it might have just been me. the BEST bahn mi I've ever had in my life. unfortunately I discovered this place when I was visiting an ex who lives 4 hrs away from me. Pretty good authentic sandwich. You know it's the real deal when they put pâté spread in it which a lot of places don't. Very small menu with a few choices of sandwich, an appetizer or two and fresh fruit juices. Nothing fancy but it hits the spot and you can't beat their buy 3 get 1 free. People with dietary restrictions beware, the menu is VERY pork heavy. Only 3 the 10 or so varieties of sandwiches are non pork, and even the pâté they put on is most likely pork. Food here is never lacking. I love their extra accommodations to the sandwich (cilantro, cucumber, pickled carrots/radish, jalapeños, etc). Wow! I didn't know this place existed until I searched for banh mi the other day, I usually go to Ba Le for banh mi but their quality has been going down the drain, so I thought I'd try a new place. And with this place I struck gold! Wow the Dac biet (combination) tastes sooo good! And the Thit nuong (pork sausage)was filled with flavor! I could taste the lemon grass, garlic, spices wow better than any other banh mi place in the DFW area! First time here, and we will definitely be back! We tried the meatball and combo banh mi, as well as their Vietnamese coffee and sugarcane drinks. 5/5 stars for taste, portion size, and promptness. My husband especially liked the meatball bahn mi-- it was juicy, warm, substantial, and flavorful. We bought 3 banh mi (get 1 free). Excited to eat our grilled pork and BBQ pork bahn mi later (can ask for vegetables on the side so the bread doesn't get soggy). Also, the staff was super nice and helpful, especially it being our first time here. The shop was spotless. This was probably the cleanest Asian establishment we've ever been to (including bathroom!) This is my favorite place for Banh Mi sandwiches. There is really no seating area so you are taking the to go. There are closer places but I'll drive extra to come here. I usually get the grilled pork with all the fresh vegetables offered such as daikon, carrots, cucumber and jalapeño. A little homemade mayo, a thin layer of pate. They put some kind of thin sauce lightly on top that really sets the flavors off. I've been looking for some fire Bahn mi in the area and I found it! Theres about seven different options, one vegetarian (egg), as well as some smoothie/coconut drinks. It didn't look like you could get boba here as their menu is solely Bahn mi. We ordered three chicken sandwiches and got the fourth free (this looks like a permanent deal). Definitely everything you are looking for in a Bahn mi is here!
