I was so happy to find a place that stays open a little later than most restaurants. A bowl of bún bò Huế sounded so good, so we decided to come to Thuy Nguyen for a late dinner. We had a party of six, and it was quite busy considering it was around 10 p.m. It was also loud in the room next to the restaurant, I believe they host private parties and karaoke over there. Between the six of us, we ordered three phở, two bún bò Huế, and one bún riêu. Oh my, the excessive amount of sugar in each dish completely ruined our meal...everything was way too sweet! The service was great, though, so one extra star for that. But as for the food, no thank you.

Went at 7:30p on a Friday and it was pretty quiet inside. Lots of to go orders. Food was great and service was pretty quick. I will definitely be back!

Saw this place recommended for pho on a facebook group. We saw a few people say this was their top. So I'll start by saying that they are not welcoming. The older lady with the ponytail was definitely the most unfriendly. There was an older gentleman who greeted us and advised us to have a seat anywhere we'd like. We ordered the Spring Rolls with Shrimp and Pork for appetizers. They were okay but lacked flavor. I will say that they are pretty big in portion and had high hopes. The peanut sauce as so bland that I tried adding red chili paste to it but it did nothing. It didn't help that it had no spice whatsoever. Which leads me to the pho. I usually add the red chili paste to my pho because I like extra spicy. It did nothing. I had the 1- Phở Thủy Nguyên and my husband had the 19- Bún Thịt Nướng. The pho had potential but the broth was so bad on grease that it made the consistency a bit thick. I wasn't a fan of that. My husband wasn't a fan of the excessive peanuts but other than that he really enjoyed his plate. I don't know how they handle tipping here. When we paid the same lady checked us out, my husband tried handing over a tip and she looked at him a little crazy. So he just put it down on the counter and we left. The establishment seemed okay as far cleanliness but could use a little more work. I think it may be family owned and operated. I didn't look much into it or read about it other than the pho recommendation on Facebook. It's just very unwelcoming and for that reason we won't be back.

My sis and her partner took us to this spot bc they open late at night. We just arrived and they were already so busy with only two people running the front and two people cooking in the back. Very impressive. We ordered Vietnamese fish sauce chicken wings. These are bone in - very good and crispy. Great flavor. Ask for white rice to balance out the flavor. Kinda wish it came with some side veggies like cucumber or tomato. Overall very good. 5/5 stars Bun Bo hue- this is more on the sweeter fattier side. I like mine a bit more lemon grassy which I wasn't able to taste as much in the broth. Flavor is still good. 4/5 Service was friendly! It wasn't fast bc they were busy but efficient enough. Last note: We paid in cash so we didn't have to pay the 4% fee on credit card.

You can find flavorful authentic Vietnamese dishes here. When I crave soup in the area this is where I think of. My goto usually are bun bo hue, banh canh, mi quang, bun rieu and banh beo

Service is awesome. Bahn xeo, bahn beo, BBH, pho, udon pork soup, chicken wings... Everything I've ordered is delicious! Definitely recommend a visit or 10 lol

Wooohoo! Another great viet spot to hit in dfw. We got banh beo, banh xeo, & bun bo hue to share between 3 and it was the perfect amount. Banh beo and BBH was my fav probably. I wish the banh xeo was slightly crispier and contained more shrimp/pork as it did get soggy and break on me. However, the flavors were definitely there!

Our large group stopped by for a post wedding lunch and easily filled the whole restaurant turning the busy schedule to busier than normal, yet the owners accommodated our large party like a champ. We ordered the Pho Thuy Nguyen, Pho Thuy Duoi Bo, Mi Quang, and Bun Rieu Cua. I quite liked the variety of herbs, spices and meats across all four orders. My favorite was the Mi Quang that came with an assortment of pork meats and herbs. The bowl of egg noodles had a separate bowl of tomato soup. Quite good!

Wings

Hands down the best spot in Arlington. Very clean and spacious. The service was great and the sweet tea was perfect. I ordered the pho and it was delicious and plenty of it too. We also tried the wings (18 of them!) and they had amazing flavor. The spring rolls were fresh, and the peanut sauce was so good, definitely homemade and not store bought. Highly recommend! (Only got a photo of the wings)

First time here and loved it! Big servings! Worth it for sure! Very cozy place and i will for sure come by again with others

Spring rolls. They put fried shallots and whole peanuts in the peanut sauce so it was extra delish!

Got hungry after Round one and noticed most places close by 9pm. This place was open and my hubby loves Vietnamese food so we dropped by. He didn't like this pho dac biet much but my bun rieu was ok. The spring rolls were hearty. I give them props for putting fried shallots and whole fried peanuts in the peanut sauce so it was very flavorful. I think we saw 3 workers in total and the place was half packed so they did pretty good for a staff of 3.

Ahhh finally some pho I like in Arlington! Not too bland like the ones that cater for white people. Thick slices of meat, chili oil that's spicier than the usual. Most importantly broth was pretty grrrreeat!!!! Initially was scared because it smelled too herbal but once I tried it, it was perfect. Not until the bottom of the soup (last 1-2 gulps) that's a bit herbal and sweet but that's just from all the stuff sinking to the bottom. It's my new go to spot.

Service ... so kind and willing to help you thru the menu making suggestions and informing us on portion sizes. Great home cooked slow simmering flavors!!! It's a clean space, be on the look out you might miss it. But great for small or large groups. I will be back. Be mindful it's not the cheapest option in the city. But worth a visit every now and again.

The oxtail hot pot was delicious. Service was fairly slow, but the food made up for it.

If you want to dive face first into a tasty, comforting bowl of phở, look no further. I admit I haven't managed to eat all the way through this menu, but their beef phở (whether it's the rare steak, flank, tendon, fatty brisket, meatballs, or all the above) is so incredibly delicious, I just can't seem to move on--especially when it's cooler weather or my allergies are acting up or... Just whenever, okay? Seriously, the broth is fragrant and delicious and the side of jalapeños, Thai basil, bean sprouts, and onions are always fresh. I particularly enjoy it with a pot of jasmine tea. The waitstaff is always friendly and attentive no matter how busy it gets. I think it's much easier to walk around in the current location versus their previous one (that had lots of family style seating). It's hard for me to drive past Phở Pasteur without stopping for a bite. I definitely recommend it.

I make reviews after tasting their pho. I know what pho is good and what is fake!*** Do not miss this GEM! My Star System: 1=Dumpster fire. Don't waste your money 2=Disappointed. One of the best known viet pho & banh mi place in Arlington…read more Their beef rib pho is the most well known, as it comes with sliced meat & a super soft and tender beef rib. I also love their fried egg roll, flavor is extremely authentic and they fry them fresh to order. Patience is sometimes needed when it comes to service, as they are a small ESL business, but they do their best to seat & serve you as quick as possible. There's plenty of seating but since they close at 7 PM everyday, they do get a rush of customers right around 6 PM. I really liked how clean their tables are and how they provide sanitizer wipes at each table, very comfy vibes.

Years later, I am back to working in Arlington and recently finally made it to Ba Le. I know they are known for their sandwichies, and I dint know you could order them off the deli counter instead of ordering them from the sit-down restaurant. The first time i went, I ordered a sandwich and a noodle dish. The sandwich was the first thing that came out; it was hot, like right off the oven, hot! The sandwich had lots of pate, and the meat was well-seasoned but not as good at the one from Saigon Deli (that's my ride or die for Vietnamese sandwiches). Next time I go, I will try a different sandwich. During this visit, I had a noodle dish,h and it was good, nothing amazing (i think it was the lemon grass beef). Really good. I went and only had to wait maybe 5 minutes to be seated. They have an iPad to check in, and that's how they know the order to seat people. The service was fast since they are really busy every day. The restaurant was clean, and so were the bathrooms when I went. On my second visit, is when I tried the Pho, and I am hooked. I tried the combination pho and it was everything like the pictures show! When I tried the brooth I could tell they really go big on the spices that make up the broth, star anise, cloves, cardamom and everything else. I really enjoyed the broth, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I can see what all the hype is about, but for my pho i usually go to Pho 95. I did try the Vietnamese coffee, and even tho i asked for it to be extra sweet, it was not sweet enough. Since then, I been on a Vietnamese coffee kick and I can't stop haha. I need to start making my way to this restaurant more often.
