Been coming here since I was a kid and Skillet was at its late location! The service is always wonderful! The french toast is so tasty and crispy aswell! Great for a quick morning breakfast or a long sit down brunch with the family! read more

Was looking for a breakfast option that didn't have a 45 minute wait on the weekend of Valentine's Day & found this gem. From the outside, you wouldn't expect to find such a great breakfast necessarily, but glad we stumbled in! We were seated immediately, and the staff was so sweet, there were several older patrons dining there so you know that the food is going to be reliable and made with love. We placed our orders and the food came out extremely fast even for it being a weekend, the portions were also really good and I think we could've easily split my omelette that I got. Nothing too fancy or trendy here, just good food made by good people. Really liked the spinach & mushroom omelette - it was LOADED & the salsa went perfectly with it. The hash browns did need some dressing up, but there was no shortage of them. Would like to try the other options, too. read more

Love this mom and pop place. It will make you feel like you're at your grandmother's table. We try to go there at least once a month. We just want to keep this place in business. It is an Arlington icon. And wonderful family. read more

Definitely seems like a place that has been around for a long while; there was a lot of wisdom in the restaurant and a definite family-waitresses-know-everyone vibe! Service was fast and friendly. Food was very good; lives up to the "homemade" sign over the front door. Could have been a bit cleaner; crumbs on floor under one table, syrup container sticky, bathroom was a little eh. BLT w/extra crispy tater tots Grilled chicken club Cheeseburger Biscuits/gravy, scrambled eggs, extra-crispy hash browns Overall, a good low-key place to eat some good food. read more

Service was excellent. Food just so so. I had the daily special of beef tips and rice. More onions than beef slivers. Decorated for Christmas, the setting was inviting. read more

Lifelong Arlington resident, local foodie, love going out to eat. Words cannot describe how bad this place is. Filthy. Smelly. Service was bad, but the food stands out as truly terrible. Worst chicken fried steak of my life, hands down. Scrambled eggs- powdered. Orange juice watered down. I legitimately had much better cold breakfasts in the field in the Army. I wouldn't return here if they paid me to. If you want breakfast, just go to JRs. read more

I had an amazing time here Saturday went to have quick lunch with friends. It's a great place. We were 12 strong or more . We all had different entrees but each one looked good . Food bought to table hot and fresh. Service was great hostess were always there bringing refills and offering kind and Xmas cheer. Ambiance spacious old Tex mex. Feel . Lots of menu options vegan as well. Enjoyed the meal and company. Happy Holidays Everyone. read more

Overall the food and service were fine. However, the restaurant smelled strongly of cleaning products or air freshener. You'd think that be ok but there was such a strong chemical smell that it was overwhelming. It's also a greasy spoon so... I'd have to really be in the mood to return. read more

Food is over the top great! You won't leave still hungry and they kept the coffee cup full ...

Had breakfast here on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Service was excellent and food was filling and very good. I had Breakfast Burrito and it was huge. It was very good and full of eggs, potato, sausage. Took half of it home. The staff was super friendly and great coffee. I will go back another day. The decor is nice, open areas with lots of space between tables and roomy booths. read more

Great diner in arlington! I usually get the same thing for breakfast every time - the chicken fried chicken and eggs and have ventured off trying the patty melt and liver and onions for lunch which both were also so good! The size of the chicken isn't as large as it used to be when it had to be on a plate by itself and it seems the batter is much lighter than it used to be. Some changes but nothing bad. Either way, I still love coming here with my family to enjoy breakfast and we haven't been disappointed. Lots of space for large parties to dine in. Fun and friendly staff, family owned. Everything is reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. There's no way you're leaving still hungry. The house hot sauce (Sarah's sauce) is one of my favorites. read more

I loved this place and their breakfast but why does the cashier get upset with me because she messed my order up. For some reason they will not season your breakfast unless you ask for this in which I did. I called in and ordered my eggs and ask for them to do salt to it while cooking it. I told them the eggs smell funny without season. So once I got there the older white lady told me she added a container of salt but I reminded her I wanted it salted while being cooked. She looked at me disgustingly, grabbed my order, waited in the back for a few minutes, added the salt and stirred my eggs around and came back. I thought I was getting freshly cooked order of eggs with salt but instead I got screwed over. I'm thinking she did my order over so I tipped her not knowing she did make my order the way I requested. Whats the problem with adding salt to my food. Anyway, I could tell she just went to the back and added the salt because while eating my eggs with a spoon I felt the granulated salt being rubbed into the styrofoam container with my spoon. With prices being so high nowadays you figured you would get served the way you request it. I hate tipping after being screwed over. They really need to do something about her. She is rude, impolite, and a scammer. read more

It's been awhile since I've been to this restaurant, but decided to go this morning for breakfast. They did not disappoint! I ordered bacon and eggs and they loaded up the bacon and the diced potatoes that came with it were excellent. Also, in my opinion, they have the best coffee going. Service was also excellent. Recommend! read more

Food is good like a home cooked meal. 5 stars because of the wait staff amazing service and talk about team work. They all work together to get you coffee/drink, food, hot sauces and checking on customers. They made our experience an amazing one!!! The Ambience is nice to can have a conversation with your party even though it's a huge place Here's a tip: portions are huge excellent for share styled meals. In town for an event and spent the morning being lazy at our hotel, wanted breakfast and found Skillet N Grill open later than anywhere else in the area. We were greeted when we walked in and told to sit anywhere we wanted. Found a booth in the middle of the main dining area and a young guy came up right away with menus and asked for our drink order - he brought it right away. Then we sat... we sat and waited almost 15 minutes, we watched a couple that came in after us get greeted by the waitress and order their food. I am not the person to make a scene and flag someone down...but I will stare to try to make eye contact...finally we connected and she came over SUPER apologetic knowing that we had been there a while and she absolutely did skip over us. She ended up being super sweet, we accepted her apology. The food was good - except the biscuits. I was truly hoping for some fresh homemade biscuits...these were stale and dry. Ultimately the 4 stars is for the rocky start to our meal and the biscuits. read more

Nice simple diner food with seat yourself tables and pay at the register service. Our whole meal was under $20 so very reasonably priced. I got the Skillet N Grill Omelet with home fries and my plate was massive! My omelet was delicious and I couldn't even finish it. My husband got the Skillet N Grill blanket which is basically biscuits & gravy with scrambled eggs on it. He had hash browns on the side. Our only issue was both of our potatoes were not good. Mine were super greasy and his were burnt and neither had any seasoning on them. I had the homemade salsa with my omelet and it was super yummy read more

Tasty food but your gonna pay for it! I was charged $17.31 today for just two sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches. No drinks, no hashbrowns nothing extra. I think for almost $20, I could have gotten a whole combo with more food! I am disappointed and will not be returning. read more

Awesome breakfast, went with a friend and def had more them enough food. Great customer service. Will def be back.

I've passed by this so many times and never thought to go in until my friend recommended it. I can't say how happy I am that this restaurant is so close to where I live. It's home style cooking at its finest, with a wide selection of breakfast favorites and lunch dishes that pack a punch. The servings are plentiful and way worth it for how much the prices are. We were all very happy with our food and will definitely be back. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good southern breakfast spot with competitive pricing. One note though, they do typically only open until 3PM like some other breakfast places I know. Plan accordingly, you won't regret it! read more

The reviews were great so we made a beeline for breakfast. Easy parking in large lot. The updated exterior doesn't match the outdated interior. I think I read they moved here from another location. They have a strong following and easy to see why--the staff seems friendly and homely. The seating is old, the tables are old, the menus are a sticky mess and there was a dead fly on our table. Our waitress just swiped it off and I just changed tables! No pics of the food because it was basic runny scrambled eggs and basic pancakes. But it must taste good enough to the masses because the parking lot remains full! read more
