Chicken Fried Steak breakfast plate with some bacon strips.

Excellent food! The chicken fried steak breakfast plate was very good. Ordered some bacon on the side and it was great too. Tiffany, my server, was very friendly and provided great service. Very casual, classic looking diner.

Don't let the outside fool ya, as this is a diamond in the rough! The sign outside has damage and the surrounding buildings are rundown. However, once you step inside, you step inside a busy, hustling thing of beauty!! We went on a Saturday morning around 9:30/10am and it was busy, but we only had to wait 10-15 mins for a table of 7. One thing to mention is that this is pure original breakfast. There are no blueberries or chocolate chips for example to add to your waffles/pancakes. However, the pancakes were VERY good without the extras. Plus, the pricing is no frills as well. My pancakes/2eggs/sausage plate was like 10.50. The food was all REALLY good. Our waitress was super sweet and took really good care of us as well. The place is clean and plenty of seating inside so this is a great choice for a down home breakfast spot!!

Since we are not familiar with the area we took a chance with Pioneer and were extremely glad with our experience! Yvonne, our waitress, was super attentive and friendly; food was freshly made and tasty. Highly recommend to support this small business!

Good breakfast spot. Warm and welcoming staff. Humble ambiance. Food was good, straight forward fare. I can't recall what they called my breakfast special, but it included everything I wanted. Reasonably priced.

This was a great experience that environment and food reminded me of a cafe/diner from when I was young. The food is high quality and large portions. The prices are very reasonable. Our server today was Lorena P and she was excellent.

Wife and I stopped here for brunch and it was very busy inside, but we were seated right away. Our waitress came right over to offer assistance and to take our drink orders. Of brunch I ordered the French toast with eggs and bacon and it was a really reasonable price. The meal arrived less then five minutes later. The French toasted tasted really good and the baked on was very crispy, but the eggs were very runny so I didn't eat them. It was definitely worth the visit.

While visiting Six Flags, we found this old school restaurant nearby. It's the kind of place where you see pies in the display case as you walk in and you can buy a box of Junior Mints when you pay your check. We had omelettes and eggs with biscuits and gravy on the side. The omelettes were three eggs and loaded with ingredients. They were slightly overdone but the flavor was great. Biscuits were scratch-made and dense with a mild sausage gravy. If you want a stick-to-your-ribs type of meal, this is the place to go. Friendly service as well. Recommended.

One of the best local diners, in the Arlington area. Me and my folks started going 2 or 3 times a month, and we've always enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. The employees are always friendly and provide excellent service. Highly recommend going there on weekends, for breakfast!

So. We decided to visit again just based off all of the other options around. Creatures of habit. The service was great. She was very attentive 100% of the time. The food was not as fresh this go round. My husbands chicken sandwich was dry. Asked for mushrooms and got maybe 4 slices. The feeling of the restaurant was HOT. The AC was not working. I saw a new fee added to our check for those who don't use cash. Bummer. If you are going to charge a fee to use a debit card, bring free fee ATM inside for your patrons to use. Here's what we had today in the pics below. We will be back. They were getting ready to close in a few hours. The service was worth the hiccups. I will bring cash.

Maybe Kroger is so dominant that it over shadows the other business. The order counter is at the front with drinks in a refrigerator and home made tea adjacent. We sat ourselves at a table and started a conversation with a couple that frequently dines here. The man stated the French fries are the best in the area. They are double fried with Lawry's seasoning. They were eating their favorite, a Philly cheesesteak and. Chicken sandwich. We ordered mushroom Swiss burger and Big Tex. French fries and sweet potato fries. When I tasted the fries, I confirmed the man's acclimation that the fries are the best around. Our burgers were equally good, very moist and cooked to perfection. The prices are reasonable. This is now one of our go-to burger restaurants.

Let's just say I was not disappointed. This place reminds me of a New Jersey diner, and I will use the word ambience so that it lights up that I said something about the ambience as well. However, the ambience is that of a New Jersey diner. I absolutely loved it. The service was great and prompt, and it did not take long to get the food. Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered the hash and it came with three eggs on top cooked perfectly to order. I do have to say that this was probably the best hash I have had in a very, very long time. It was freaking outrageously good. I also had sourdough toast, but toast is toast... AnyWho, two thumbs up five stars, I will be back. I will bring my wife who is a true jersey girl and will love this place. Shout out to Luz, who was my waitress, again, the service was fantastic.

Especially for $14 at the smaller 1/3lb size, I'm not a fan of cold items in a burger but maybe that's just a me thing, i'm guessing the jalepeno bacon jam was refrigerated and slapped on? If its not ordered much I guess that can happen esp vs in a competition environment, luckily they still have many other great burgers to try, still worth a visit!

We love going out for breakfast, sitting at the table and enjoying each other's company and catching up with meaningful conversation. We dine at different restaurants each month. We were close to JR's, it sounded good and has an awesome breakfast menu. As we were being seated, my wife saw them put out a pan of fresh baked cinnamon rolls from the oven. My wife has never met a cinnamon roll she didn't like. She immediately knew what she was going to order. I decided on the Combo #3. It consisted of two eggs, two patties of sausage, hashbrowns and a pancake. You can choose your breakfast meat of choice and have toast or a biscuit instead of a pancake. When our server greeted us we were totally surprised. We were reunited with Craig, a longtime server we knew from another local restaurant. He worked at the other restaurant for close to four decades. Craig is the consummate restaurant professional. He is one of the best servers that's ever waited on us. We got reacquainted and placed our orders. Breakfast arrived after a short wait our breakfast was delivered to our table by one of the kitchen expeditors. My eggs were cooked to perfection and everything on my platter was SO good. My wife didn't say much since she was "inhaling" her cinnamon roll. Oh, my goodness, JR, thank you for a wonderful Saturday morning breakfast.
