Walking into the diner takes you back to an earlier time, but the smiling faces of the servers keeps you engaged and craving every bite. I got the Chicken Fried Steak combo with a waffle, and it was great! The steak was fried to perfection with golden brown skin, and the grits provided were creamy and to consistency! My wife got the tenders and grits combo, a meal that she ate and left no crumb to be scavenged after. We split a breakfast burrito because I has one the last time we were here and it was tasty and large enough to split. Always great food. Always great service. Today our server Mariah did everything right. We had to check in and wait for a seat which isn't unusual, but it went quickly and we were seated. Lunch around 1p and got a lunch portion of meatloaf and a reg chicken fried chicken. I absolutely love the warm corn muffins and honey butter! I don't eat meatloaf just anywhere but theirs is second to my own. The chicken fried chicken was perfection! Sides were delicious. They give you so much food. No complaints again. Went in today after a day of shopping! We all ordered lunch because they give you a complimentary bowl of soup! I thought the soup was good my friend thought it was a little salty! You also get a delicious roll and a piece of cornbread with delicious honey butter! I ordered the lunch chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and fried okra! All was pretty good! Our server was the best you could get! The food came out quick! I ordered water however when I saw all the flavors of creamer I added a coffee! Great Christmas decorations! We enjoyed our lunch. It's been a few years since we've been here. We got here at 12:20 on a Friday. The place was jammed. Our wait was around 20 minutes. My wife and I shared the Chicken Fried Chicken meal. For sides, we had mashed potatoes and green beens. The chicken fried chicken was 'okay', not amazing. Our Place is still a great place to eat. On Sunday after church there was a 45-60 min wait, so they are still super popular. They still have great breakfast, country fried steak, and other traditional Southern/American dishes. It is pretty loud inside when they are busy. It was lunch time and I was looking for a place to eat and I found this place.As I pulled in the place was pretty packed and it's pretty big place.as I walked in I thought for sure there was going to be a wait but I was lucky and only had to wait a few minutes.So I was seated and asked what I wanted to drink.As she was getting my drink I looked at the menu and decided to get the Texas Big Dipper is what I think it was called?It's basically their version of the French dip with dipping sauce.So she came back around and took my order I got the sandwich but got a salad instead of the fries.So as I was sitting there she brought me some soup with a couple of rolls.She said it was complementary.It was taco soup and was actually pretty good.Next she brought me my salad.Which was good.Then the main dish comes in which I was a little disappointed with.The bread was nicely toasted and soft and the meat was tender.But it was a little dry and just had no flavor to it.It lacked seasoning.Not to mention the lack of cheese that was on it.I brought the waitress Over to the table to look at it and she was surprised what little cheese it had on it.She asked me if I wanted more cheese to put on it.I said no and just finished it up.To sum up I would come back to this place but would get something different.Their breakfast menu looked pretty good.Until next time onto the next place. read more

What a wonderful time we had at breakfast visiting with friends, great conversation and delicious food. I apologize for forgetting to get photos of what everyone else was munching on. I was TOO busy with my Eggs Benedict. Upon arrival, our friends were already there and had secured us a table in the patio area. Since it was a bit warm, the garage doors were all closed down. Anywhere I go, I also get Eggs Benedict for breakfast. It's my go-to breakfast choice. Our Place's Eggs Benedict was prepared with precision. The poached eggs were just right where the goodness of the yoke, when pierced, released all the deliciousness. YUMMY. We found this little jewel via YELP. It's a very popular local spot...delivering terrific, down-home cooking! (Expect a brief wait; but it's worth it.) We all three had the chicken fried steak. It is big, hand-breaded, tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside...just about perfect. The gravy is very good. The best sides were the mashed potatoes and mac-n-cheese. Wish we had tried the fried okra. Before you get your food, they bring out small cups of soup with cornbread and rolls. I don't know if they serve the same soup every day...the tortilla soup was excellent. The only thing that challenges the CFS is the coconut cream pie!! Wow! Wow!! We came back for more! Got the two eggs any style and my boyfriend got the breakfast burrito with sausage, his favorite. I ordered my eggs over easy, crispy bacon, hash browns, and biscuits with gravy. I would have to say that the biscuits were one of the best biscuits I've ever had. They were airy and not dry at all like other biscuits out there. This by far is one of my favorite biscuits and gravy, and I've tried it from so many places. I just wish the hash browns weren't overcooked. We also had the buttermilk pie, which wasn't really that big of a slice for the price, but the flavor was really good. Attentive, often checked in with us & had a wonderful attitude. I had the Southern Scrambler Bowl, this was a huge portion. The biscuits were so fluffy! Hearty & a bit heavy for sure, not a complaint, but more for reference if you are in need of something lighter maybe get a more simpler plate with the basics. They have a large selection on their menu so there is something for everyone. No omelette for me today but I would definitely recommend those as well. They also gave us some complimentary treats... donut holes? Not too sweet, just right. I'm a coffee drinker, happy to see they have other creamer flavors than just vanilla. Irish Cream for the win! Paying is easy, you can pay either with the staff or scan the QR code on the receipt. Really relaxed vibe through the whole restaurant, we sat in the patio/garage area today. Two things, it's still wonderfully air conditioned & the fact that it's technically a garage makes it great for natural light. Our Place is located off Debbie near the FM 157 in Mansfield, serving great breakfast and brunch in a lovely environment with plentiful food choices for the whole family. We visited this fine establishment on a Sunday right after the brunch rush and had to wait a couple of minutes in the waiting area to be seated. The interior is well decorated, and there is an abundance of tables and chairs to sit at for families and large groups. We were seated, and our drink orders were placed along with menus that were provided to our table. We went ahead and ordered a black coffee to start the day off right along with the chicken fried chicken that came with vegetable soup and a choice of 2 sides. We also ordered pancakes, bacon, and 2 over medium eggs. We ordered a kids' plate of macaroni and cheese and fries. Our server came and brought a basket of freshly baked bread with muffins. The chicken fried chicken was perfectly battered and deep-fried golden to perfection. It was smothered in a creamy gravy, and the chicken was well-seasoned and moist. The vegetable soup was flavorful and complemented the dish very well. The bacon was crispy while the pancakes were fluffy and soft. The eggs were cooked just right with the perfect amount of ooze coming from the yolks. The macaroni and cheese was definitely cheesy, and my daughter enjoyed the dish quite well. The star of the show was the baked bread and muffins. They were nice and warm and airey, and I found myself devouring every piece of bread along with the churned butter. Our Place was a terrific place to eat for a Sunday brunch, and our family enjoyed it very much. The customer service provided was top-notch, while the staff worked effortlessly to get guests in and seated. The food quality and service were outstanding, and the prices were fair and affordable. Would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered an omelet Al la carte. Asked for chicken, bacon and avocado. The omelet was 9 dollar, but the chicken added was 6 dollars. If I knew that I'd just get the other omelet that's 8 bucks cheaper and comes with chicken already. Astonishingly overpriced. Just like everything here is. I asked for assistance and they couldn't fix my issue. So I'm leaving this review. Just make food at home. I paid OVER 20 bucks for a single, small omelette with 3 ingredients.
