Blueberry Lemon Cornbread-Stop the press. Go immediately and do not yield. This just melted in our mouths.

Services was very nice. I was placed on the hold list for an hour and then proceeded to the actual restaurant on Father's Day. My Niece turned 17 and wanted to have brunch at a local spot in dallas. This was my first time having brunch at this establishment. We had 7 in our party. The waitress was able to give actual testimony to food options I love it when the waitress or waiter actually has tried the menu items. Quick service, hot food one person at the table would not recommend the grits. All of the table enjoyed their items and would definitely come back again and again. Stop by and give The Watch your time and taste buds

First watch is our go to place for a leisurely Saturday morning brunch the food is always delicious and the weight staff are wonderful. Sometimes it can be a bit noisy, but it's understandable because of the excitement of their customers.

Decided to come here for a friends birthday breakfast. Very cute atmosphere, clean, and friendly. We got there pretty early and were seated promptly. Once we left there was a line and wait, so it's probably wise to get there early. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with eggs, my husband ordered an omelette plate, and we ordered a pancake to try them out. The biscuits and gravy was exceptionally delicious, but the potatoes are very bland. My husband said the omelette was okay but also kind of bland. Neither of us were crazy about the potatoes. The pancake we ordered was very dry. We doused it in syrup but it just wasn't great and didn't finish it. Our friend ordered the million dollar potatoes, they were okay. I wouldn't pay extra for the cheese and bacon on them though. However the juice drinks are really good!! That Morning Meditation is chefs kiss!! Love a good juice drink! I think the concept is great but the food is just bland. It's just not worth it for us. Especially if I have to douse with ketchup/syrup etc to get a better taste. Love the look and environment. I'd come for the drinks! Everyone was friendly and helpful.

This was our first time dining at First Watch, and I can honestly say it won't be our last! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt fresh, clean, and inviting, perfect for a relaxing brunch. The service was friendly and made excellent suggestions. I went with the chorizo tacos, and it was absolutely delicious, flavorful, and beautifully plated. I was also impressed by how everything felt thoughtfully prepared, from the drinks to the presentation. The entire experience felt effortless and elevated. First Watch made a lasting impression. So glad I gave it a try and it is officially on my go-to list!

Easy parking and pretty big location. I decided to sit at the bar since it was just me and the wait was 20-30 minutes for a table. I've been to a few of these locations so happened to be in the area and decided to try this one. It was a little loud but they have plenty of space for seating whether you're eating or waiting. Plenty of windows for outdoor lighting so that was nice. Now on to the stars of the show... Purple haze (drink): 10/10 this drink hits every time. It's my favorite thing to get...it's cute and tastes wonderful. Try it and thank me later! Farmhouse skillet: 8/10 I was missing a good chunk of my toast - it was cut oddly. Flavors in this dish were good. Potatoes cooked right, plenty of bacon and they had strawberry jelly! Eggs were cooked to my liking and I added my own salt/pepper.

First Watch is easily one of my favorite places for breakfast. The Mansfield location was busy like most First Watch, but we were seated rather quickly. It took a little while for the wait staff to make his way to our table, but we were in no rush, so problem. My daughter ordered the Steel Cut Oatmeal & said it was probably the best tasting oatmeal ever. I ordered the Power Wrap [Turkey Wrap], which was delicious & the portion was huge, coffee was fresh & the fruit was sweet. Every drink we have had from the Fresh Juice Bar has been delicious!

I can't believe this is our first visit in the THREE years they've been open! In my defense, this location opened during COVID, and I've heard the wait can get pretty long. But on a weekday morning, in that sweet spot made for brunch (11am), we were immediately seated in a booth, with plenty of open tables around us. The interior was spacious, but still cozy, like Chip & Joanna Gaines had a hand in decorating and furnishing. Everything was above and beyond. Service was great, from hostess to waitress. The quality and quantity of food will explain the higher-than-average prices. When my Superfruit Bowl came out, I was bummed by how little pudding was under all the fresh fruits, but add in the granola, almonds, and a thick side of toast, and my kids had to help me finish. The enclosed entrance is a must in TX to maintain the indoor temperature; these also help keep the smell of sewage on the outside. If the Gaines had a say, they'd probably lose the umbrellas in favor of sturdier shade to give the tiny patio a little more space. The garage doors DO roll up in the encased room, which is very useful, but again, it's Texas; there WILL be wind. Regardless of that, I'm already planning what to eat on my next visit to First Watch!

We want to have a birthday brunch for 11 people - is there room outside for that many people? On A Sunday?

Yes there is. In fact they have a separate glass partition that oversee the outside patio

Should I make a reservation before go there?

You can just stop in and be seated most days during the week. I have never waited more than 15 minutes.

We headed across the lake into Mansfield and stopped at Jakes Burgers and Beer. Jakes stays open until 11 p.m. and was easy to get to off Broad St. I lived off Skillman the last time I had a Jakes Burger and my husband has never had one. Our friendly waiter reassured me they hadn't changed. The menu certainly has though! What a vast array of creative ideas for burgers, sandwiches and even breakfast and brunch! It took me awhile to decide. Salads, platters, veggies. Great choices. There were so many appealing appetizers, but we decided on the Half and Half Hand-Breaded Jalapeño Bottle Caps & Hand-Breaded Pickle Chips, served with ranch. When they came, I can honestly say the grouping looked nothing like the photo. These were much smaller. But for the two of us, the portion was okay and it was delicious. The jalapeños were spicy and the pickles tangy. A terrific combo to get your palate fired up. My spouse had ordered the Kickin' Chicken Fried Bacon Burger and it arrived in all its glory. Two beef patties with hickory sauce and melted cheese, lettuce, red onion, chipotle mayo, topped with two slices of beautiful chicken fried bacon. He let me have a bite of the bacon. It's crazy good. My burger came, the Bacon Bleu Burger with Bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a creamy bleu cheese dressing with crumbles. I had ordered extra pickles on the side and I received four but I absolutely love them so I asked for four more right away. I think it's sacrilege to just put whole intact slices of onion on anything without separating the rings, so I had to "operate" before I could eat. I also asked for a plain bun. You have a choice between poppy seed or plain. This was a truly delicious burger. One of the best bleu cheese burgers I've ever had and very filling. I took half home! Service was excellent and the restaurant and restroom was very clean. We had a good experience and would return.

We ordered, grabbed our drinks and table, had time to wash our hands then the food was being delivered as soon as we got back to the table! We enjoyed our CHEESEBURGER (I get dry) and MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER! We wanted to try different sides so we each got a 1/2 order of a side. Now that we know the burgers are 1/2lb, we will probably split burger next time. The FRIED MUSHROOMS were great! I enjoyed the light batter. Probably met my max sodium intake for the day by the time I was done. The SWEET POTATO FRIES with sea salt were also great! They offered us sea salt, cajun, or cinnamon sugar as the seasonings! Decision made, 54th Street for dinner it is. Arriving at the restaurant, we were greeted by one of the hostesses and shown to our table. Ava, our bubbly server, greeted us and took our drink orders. It always takes us a while to decide since there is SO many delectable items on 54th Street's menu. My wife decided on the Chicken Avocado Grill, with a side of fries. I opted for a half rack of baby back ribs with beans and Cole slaw. Miss Reba, our diva dog at home, will be VERY happy when her daddy brings home bones. After a short wait, Ava came by to let up know out entrees were almost ready. We told her we were in no rush at all, which we weren't. All the sudden one of the kitchen expeditors delivered our entrees. Oh yummy, everything looked wonderful. She loves 54th Street's fries. So the French fries were the first to be tasted. I saw an ugly face and wondered what was wrong. I tasted one of the fries and made the same ugly face. The was WAY TOO much salt on the fries. They were inedible. Fortunately one of the managers was close by and I summoned him to our table. My wife explained what the issue was with the fries. Since the French fries were on a separate plate, the manager asked if he could taste them. Yep, ugly face, way over seasoned. He said he'd be right back. He took the plate back to the kitchen. Shortly, he arrived back at our table with a new plate of fries and a cup of 54th Street's special seasoning on the side. Everything solved and a happy wife. My wife's chicken sandwich were delicious as well as my baby back ribs and sides. Thank you Ava, the management, and the whole staff of 54th Street for a wonderful visit. We'll see all again soon.
