We sat at the bar today. Sunday around 3ish.. we got our drinks pretty quick too. The waitress was nice and attentive. We ordered a lot of food lol We had a 6 mile hike so we were hungry!! Anywho, we ordered the shrimp for our appetizers. We each got one. It was good. That's one thing I was craving. I got the smothered chicken , corn and mashed potatoes. My husband had the steak and chicken with broccoli. I enjoyed my meal but I felt the corn wasn't that sweet and the mashed potatoes weren't that creamy but I still ate them. The only thing that kinda threw us off was the waitress asked if we were ready to order and we said yes. Then walked away lol ehh not a big deal but everything was good and not many complaints. It was really busy this evening at 5pm, but we were seated quickly. Our waitress was Emily, she was very attentive, even with the amount of tables she was waiting. She took our drink order and came back immediately with them. We order an appetizer and the 19oz steak, and an order of 12 grilled shrimp with rice. Sweet potatoes all around and side salads. The salads and appetizer of fried pickles came out. The fried pickles were piping hot and with a side of house made ranch dressing! Yum! The salads were so fresh and crisp... croutons, grape tomatoes, eggs. It was a wonderful salad! I think next time I'll get a bigger one! The steak came out perfect temp and exactly Medium Rare. The grilled shrimp also came out well! Perfect temperature and color! The rice was piping hot. The sweet potatoes were also great! My friend also tried the strawberry margarita and said it was delish! I was driving, so only ice tea for me! Emily was on point bringing us refills and didn't bat an eye, when we stopped her for a water and artificial sweetener.... She brought it promptly. The table we sat at was a booth and chair combo. The company that I was with sat in the chairs, they did complain that the chairs were a little low to the table and they sat really hard.... Padding on the seats would have been preferred. I sat on the bench, which was comfortable since it was padded. The manager, Bree, made an appearance at our table and greeted us, asking about our experience. This was a really nice touch. Now let me say one thing, if you are looking for a quiet dinner, this place is not for you. This is what I consider a Family restaurant, children and loud noise from everywhere. Not my favorite kind of place to eat, but the quality of the food made up for the racket. Also, if you have a peanut allergy, get your food to go. There are bags of peanuts on every table. I DID smell peanuts while there. I have an allergy but can take the smell in small doses. It didn't last but for those with severe sensitivity, beware. Would I eat here again? Definitely! I've been to a lot of TX Roadhouse in TX and I have never had a bad experience. I ALWAYS order the steak kabob (in Medium Rare) with rice, and I switch between a loaded sweet potato or loaded mash potatoes. The kabob consist of 2 skewers with mushrooms, bell peppers, onion, and mushrooms, and it pairs perfect with the rice. Yesterday evening, I got the loaded mash potatoes with it, and I had 3 bread rolls, some fried pickles..... and definitely went slept like a baby when I got home! read more

Overall a good experience. Employees were polite, they seem to have a pretty good flow, & they stayed on top of things from the hosts to the wait staff, really everyone was excellent. Food was fine, I'm not a steak fan but for some reason I always find many Texas Roadhouse steaks to be too salty. I got a smothered porkchop this time, just a tad dry. Chili was yummy but the mac 'n cheese seemed a bit skimpy on the cheese sauce... at least towards the bottom. My parents liked their steak, ribs, fries, & potatoes while the green beans were a bit liquidy. Again, overall food was good! Mansfield is just so busy, but I do wish this location had more seating for waiting guests. Many were waiting in their cars, which some prefer, but probably not by choice. Your table was dirty, still had onions on it and the chairs were dirty. I had to ask for it to be cleaned and our waiter Stacey didnt like that. I believe she was tired or overwhelmed as here demeanor was like just hurry and order. She was kinda of rude. My son bowl with veggies in it was dirty so he didnt eat it. Stacy changed her attitude because after all of that my husband still gave her a 25 tip. Stacy a tip for you hunny, you never know what kind a tip one will leave so be more friendly and upbeat while working, because honestly your tip would have been way much bigger from us. We are heavy tippers and usually tip more than our bill. Overall the food was good but the service need so work. read more

I have never been a huge Texas Roadhouse fan, but I was in town to visit family, and someone suggested we meet there. A family member had recently been in the hospital and this was their first outing to a restaurant, and Texas Roadhouse was one of the most convenient options. We checked in online using the app, and then checked in with the host at the door (on an ipad) upon arrival. 15min went by and we noticed others that came in after us were being seated. We checked in with the host stand only to find out we weren't even on the waiting list although we had checked in online and with the host (on an iPad). So, we waited an additional 10-15min to be seated. And the only standing room was cramped with the other 40 people waiting to be seated and in the way of the kitchen staff, waiters, and hosts. It was an uncomfortable way to wait. This place is a popular destination. It was absolutely packed when we arrived. The atmosphere was relatively lively, but it felt cramped in that there were so many people. Our server was bubbly and gracious. It's not entirely their fault, but we had an appetizer coupon and we did feel slightly rushed to make a decision. This lead us to order something without realizing what it was based, on the servers recommendation. The food itself was hit or miss. The chicken we ordered was extremely salty, and I know they're known for their steak, but we weren't feeling steak this night and there were plenty of chicken options on the menu. The baked potatoes were solid, but the French fries were incredible soggy. Now, the house salad was actually impressive for a house salad, having cherry tomatoes and egg in addition to the usual ingredients. And the rolls with cinnamon butter are always delicious. While there were some disappointments in terms of our experience, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Even a bus boy noticed a family member with a walker and said we could park our walker off to the side to get it out of our way. Also, a manager came by our table to check in with us early on which was nice. When it came time for the check we noticed that they hadn't used the coupon we had provided them, but they worked to correct this. Some tips: They are known for steak, so, I would go with a steak option. Also, the cinnamon butter rolls are delicious, and you can order multiple baskets. You can even ask for a togo order. I was craving steak so we figured we'd try it. Pleasantly surprised to find it to be extremely good. Medium rare cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. The give you a basket of warm biscuits with cinnamon butter as you're seated, so you can snack while looking over the menu. We split the loaded baked potato and green beans. House salad comes chilled with dressing on the side and has lots of toppings. Overall a delicious steak meal that was reasonably priced with fantastic service in a fun atmosphere and you can see the TVs from any table so we could watch the Olympics! read more

Every time I go to Texas roadhouse I enjoy the food that I eat. Granted, I eat the same thing every time I go to Texas roadhouse. I'm eating chicken fried steak all over the country. I've eaten chicken fried steak from greasy spoons to nice restaurants and places to claim they have world famous chicken fried steak. However, not a single one of them have chicken fried steak that is even half as good as the chicken fried steak at the Texas roadhouse. It is hands-down the best chicken fried steak I have ever eaten. What was missing? Was that greasy aftertaste that you get about halfway through Most chicken fried steaks. These were cooked to perfection. Their baked potatoes are large and when they say loaded, they are loaded I promise you will not leave this restaurant hungry. Unfortunately, on a busy day you may come close to dying of starvation before you get in, because there is always a line I was trying to decide whether I should leave a four star or five star review because of the long wait to get in, but went with five stars because if that many people are waiting to get into this one restaurant, you know it is worth the wait. read more

Today we took Hunter's Papa for ribs and steak. We arrived early and was seated right away the staff where sweet and polite. How every when is ribs came out they looked burnt and very hard. They made him a new plate and they looked better but still off,Papa did not eat them. For such a special day to take your special man to enjoy lunch they should have done better. Texas Roadhouse Mansfield treats it's customers like cr*p. It was busy and there was a 20 minute wait so I waited. After 30 minutes I saw people who just came in after me being seated before me. I asked and the hostess said they were just waiting for a table to open up. This happened several times so I talked with the manager. She said people can check in online and they are seated when they get there. but there are no reservations. However, that's what it seems to be because other people are bumped for someone who just walks in. It's not a fair policy or the right way to treat people. Just wish they had scallions or something on them. I appreciated that it came with both sour cream and ranch. For my meal I picked the herb crusted chicken, and I was pleasantly surprised! This is my favorite steak restaurant! The Prime rib is to die for. The bread and salad are awesome also.

We visit this location almost every week. We both have multiple choices we like such as smothered or herb crusted chicken, steaks, chopped steak, grilled shrimp on seasoned rice or steak kabob. Very much enjoy the seasoned rice, the broccoli that cooked just right and a house salad in a chilled bowl. So easy to go often to get a complete meal that's not a sandwich or fried. read more

I normally love the roadhouse, I've been coming here for many years... And normally it's a good day. Today, however, was a struggle, all I wanted was my sangria and a critter salad with ranch and when I was first seated, I seated by myself, and I sat there for good six minutes and then another couple was seated, and then their waitress came over and got them drinks and completely ignored me. When she came back to deliver the drinks, I waved at her, once again she completely ignored me. 10 minutes later I had to ask the bus boy if he could find my waitress. When Gina finally came over, I was almost in tears... I was ignored. I was hungry. I was thirsty. I didn't know almost all the rolls, and I was very frustrated. She did an amazing job, making me feel appreciated, listening to me, she got me my sangria and some en suite iced tea, she offered me a free appetizer but honestly, I was so full at that I couldn't eat them, my critter salad came out perfect. If Gina had gotten there just when she did, I was leaving. This is to thank Gina for being an awesome waitress and point out the perhaps if you know the waitresses are in a meeting you don't sit people in their section, and the waitresses around you don't ignore you. Because it's not their table. I talked to a regional marketer who is there, and I hope that he can help them fix things, because I love this roadhouse, and it's not always like this. But when it's like this, it really sucks. I only took one off because I have been here for years and their food is awesome.
