The Aftermath
Miles D.

In the words of the great George Bush, "Fool me once, shame on.... You. Fool me can't get fooled again.". I am sad to report that I was fooled again. I've been a semi regular at BJ's over the last year and was initially pretty excited about it - Good beer, good meaty pizzas.... But the last 3 times I've been to BJ's, the service has deteriorated exponentially to the point I can never return. Let me tell you about the last straw..... Dinner began as normal - Drinks and food were brought out timely, but I could never have known what would happen next. When I was handed my refill of slightly flat, watered down Dr. Pepper from my waitress, I couldn't help but notice the bottom of the glass was hot. No matter, the drink was sufficiently cold. I set the cup on the table, took a bite of my Epic Five Meat pizza, took the slightest moment to blink... BANG! I opened my eyes to find my glass had exploded, splitting itself perfectly in half, with my 20 ounces of slightly flat, watered down Dr. Pepper evacuating the glass as if it were the Titanic in reverse, spilling onto my pants, shoes, table and my entire side of the booth. As it turns out, the hot glass with an ice cold drink in it was indeed...... The matter. Unfortunately, as a result of the glass exploding, it was unclear, how much, if any shards of glass were left in mine and my party's food. When we attempted to wave our waitress down, she seemed to understand something had happened and reassured us, "I'll get him a new drink." A new drink was the least of my problems. I needed a towel. Thankfully a single towel was brought to us, and the waitress left it while she went to get me another drink, presumably with a bus boy on their way any minute to clean up the remnants of the exploded glass. The bus boy never came. As it appears to me, I, the patron soaked in slightly flat, watered down Dr. Pepper, dealing with the shock of being served an IED with slightly flat, watered down Dr. Pepper as the accelerant, was expected to clean the mess up. There I was, standing in the middle of the restaurant soaked with slightly flat, watered down Dr. Pepper waiting for solutions. Help was not on the way. The waitress brought me a new drink, but with myself and the booth still soaked there was nowhere to enjoy my slightly flat, watered down Dr. Pepper, so we asked to speak with the manager. When arriving on the scene of the exploding slightly flat, watered down Dr. Pepper, the manager seemed to explain what happened, "Looks like you were given a hot glass and it exploded." To which I responded, "Yes. It appears I was.". I explained to the manager that I was not comfortable eating food that possibly had some extra glass seasoning on it from my explosive slightly flat, watered down Dr. Pepper. He seemed to be confused as to what should happen next. He offered to remake the food, but with myself and the booth still soaked, there would be nowhere to enjoy them. So our bill was heavily discounted for the food that was ordered, and I left stickier and sadder than I entered. I, as a man of morals, living by the wise words of George Bush, cannot return to this establishment to, "Get fooled again." And no, human beings and glass shards cannot coexist peacefully. See attached for proof of the exploding glass. Review done.

I recently visited with friends and we all thought our waiter was great (very honest and helpful). I ordered a poke bowl, or at least what I thought would be a poke bowl. It was really just the tuna sitting on a bed of wasabi guacamole. It was ok, just not what I was expecting. I ordered a mango sparkler soda and it was so good! Overall, the food was okay, but the experience was good. I'd visit again.

New Sal's Brewhouse Chicken

I visit this location on August 22, 2026. The service was good however I wish I could say the same for the food. I ordered the New Sal's Brewhouse Chicken which was rubbery and asparagus was needle thin. The price of this specialty entrée was 24.99, I felt like I spent this kind of money to eat vegetables; potatoes and asparagus. My brother had the deep dish meat lovers pizza which he said was not hot more like warm. It's been a while since I've visited this location and now I know why.

Missing our other Cookies 'N' Cream Pizookie

Here for a quick getaway and was excited that BJs would deliver to us at Texas Live! Ordered 6 Pizookies- 3 of which were cookies and cream and then 1 kids chocolate chunk. Instead of 3 cookies and cream, we received 2 C&C and 1 chocolate chunk... then, the kids pizookie came burned ... definitely not what you want to happen after waiting 40 minutes and giving a 25% tip on top of the delivery fee

Wrong fries given

I recently dined at BJ's and had what I can honestly say was the worst dining experience of my life. This wasn't a case of one or two minor mishaps, it was a complete failure at every level, from start to finish. Upon being seated by the hostess, my table sat unattended for a full 10 minutes. Multiple servers walked past us repeatedly, ignoring the fact that we had no drinks, no menus, and no acknowledgment. Finally, one server asked if we'd been helped yet, we hadn't. Once we were finally attended to, the problems continued. I ordered the Wagyu burger, medium rare, with the premium sweet potato fries upgrade. When our food arrived, my burger came with regular fries instead. Annoying, but in isolation, not a huge issue. The problem? It took our server, Thomas A., 5 minutes after the food arrived to check on us so that I could finally point out the error. Then, the replacement sweet potato fries took another 10 minutes to come out. Now, about that $20 "premium" burger: it wasn't cooked medium rare at all. Again, on its own, not catastrophic, but for a $20 burger at a restaurant that markets itself as premium, getting both the side and the cook level wrong is unacceptable. The final straw came when Thomas disappeared for nearly 20 minutes. My drink ran dry, and out of curiosity and wonder, I timed how long it would take for a refill. 12 minutes and 11 seconds. For an empty drink with ice cubes. When Thomas finally brought the check, he asked how everything was. I gave him honest, direct feedback about how unhappy I was. His response was nothing. No apology, no manager, no attempt to make it right. At any other restaurant, a server would have escalated the issue. Here? Absolutely nothing. This experience was a failure on every front: · Host staff -- no ownership of seating guests properly · Servers -- indifferent and inattentive · Kitchen -- wrong sides, incorrect cook temps · Management -- lacking in training and oversight BJ's charges premium prices for what is supposedly a premium experience, but delivers subpar service, mediocre food, and zero accountability. I could have gone anywhere else for half the cost and received better treatment. From now on, I will, and I strongly encourage others to do the same. Save your money. Save your time. Go somewhere that actually respects you as a customer.

Shrimp Scampi Pasta

Celebrated my husband's birthday dinner. The chicken with sirloin, was dry/tough, but everything else good. Our server was pleasant and kept up with everyone's refills. It wasn't crowded due to being midweek. Good sports bars with lots of tvs.

We frequent BJ's in Arlington often, but unfortunately, this visit was by far the worst experience we've had. My potstickers were overcooked, my husband's wings were dry and rubbery, and the fries came out cold. The food just completely missed the mark this time around. On a positive note, our waiter, Xavier, was very accommodating and understanding. He adjusted our check without hesitation, and we only ended up paying for our drinks, which we appreciated. He did mention they were short-staffed that day, and sadly, it really showed in the quality of our meal. Hopefully next time--if there is a next time--things will be back to the standard we're used to.

i only go on tuesdays to get pizookies, and each time they do not disappoint. the large pizookie comes with four flavors of your choice, topped with either vanilla or chocolate ice cream. most recent time i went, it was very crowded, with a wait of about 30 minutes for a party of 7. vanilla ice cream ran out but the waitress was accommodating and offered a bowl of chocolate ice cream on the side and gave us the cups of to-go vanilla ice creams.

A fuzzy unleashed Pomeranian dog on the floor

Went out with the Wife for some food and drinks after work. Server was great and food was good. Issue was when our food was brought out the owner of the dog pulled the blanket off the floor which the dog as laying on. And then shook it in the air. The dog didn't have leash, service jacket and was in the middle of main eating area. Plus, causing a trip hazard. Ruined my night out with my Wife.

BJ'S Whiskey Barrel Stout...

Okay, if you haven't been into her BJ's before then, I encourage you to do so. You have to go at least once. What I like about BJ's is that you can have a sampling of all their craft beers, and of course all the appetizers that they provide. Went there on a Friday night with a bunch of people. After a big event, we all sat around in with multiple tables, and the staff was wonderful, they did a great job helping all of us, I think there was about 30 of us there. All we have were appetizers but the other times I've been at this establishment if we've had the ribs and they were good. But the main reason to going there is trying out their craft beers. Almost every time I've gone to BJ's the staff has been amazing. Easy to find. Worth going. Lots of parking plenish seating. Would I recommen this place, absolutely

Service was slow. My pizza only had toppings on 1/2 of it. The water tasted moldy. Disappointed. Probably won't come back.

Then as things were nearing completion, I remember seeing a couple of employees somewhere and asking about it, and they said that it would be in "phase two". Then sometime later, I remember a construction guy telling me, "there ain't no phase two, what you see with Texas Live is what you got, there isn't going to be any expansion". I could never find anything out. Then about six months or so, someone who works there told me it was being built in the corner, and would be open soon. I figured I'd believe it when I saw it, and now it's here. It's a nice space, with a separate entrance. Really went upscale more than you would see in most taprooms. I think only the Choctaw Lounge is nicer, and you can't hardly get into that place. The bar top is almost as long as the room, lots of stools. A good amount of pub type tables, and a larger community table, along with some low height chairs and tables. All pretty nice furniture. Couple of roll up doors open into the patio during nicer weather. My couple visits, I've seen several beers that I've never seen on tap anywhere else. Revolver is supposed to be doing several beers for this location only. Lot's of different beers, and this is probably the only place you'll see with this many of their beers on tap at any given time. I've done the brewery events in Granbury and they usually have maybe 6-8 beers on tap. I'm seeing 10-15 different beers on tap here. You can also get food in here, most of it items from Lockhart BBQ. But there are a couple things unique to the taproom, including the chili. The chili is pretty good, but the jalapeno cornbread is fantastic. Anyway, really nice, great place to hang out. Plenty of TV's and usually some decent music in the background. Prices are higher, which is expected because of the location, but I've paid about $7-$10 for different beers. Looking forward to more special beers. Too bad all the beer snobs hate Revolver, some good new stuff in here.

Brewery #425 Martin…read moreHouse makes beers the way a brewery should; fun, inventive, delicious, and crazy. They probably had 25 (complete guess off of memory) beers on tap with a few of them being seltzers. They have really good IPA's, PHENOMENAL dessert stouts, and fun beers of other styles. Martin House was so good, I went back for a second flight plus bought a bunch of canned beers to take home. They had a Smores Stout (delicious), Texas Sheet Cake Stout (equally delicious), a Pumpkin Cheesecake Stout (not for me but interesting), and a King of the Mountain Porter (chocolately). I have never had 4 porters/stouts in the same sitting, but MH makes such good ones that I had to. Their IPA's were solid with the Invaders being my favorite. The Wicked Wolf blonde Ale made with peanut butter, and I think marshmallow fluff was probably my favorite beer amongst the 8 I tried. Phenomenally good. The craziest beer I tried was the Best Maid Mustard Relish. It's exactly what you think it would be but not as bad. They should make it in shot form though because anything more is too much. The only thing lacking was food. I assume they have food trucks from time to time but not while I was there. No matter their beer makes up for it so just eat before you come.

We accidentally dropped in just in time for live Jeopardy and obliged despite being the clear newbies in a crowd full of customized t-shirted teams. Was no difference to us, and we did win a free beer out of it! The atmosphere was the exact kind of laid back you hope for to unwind after a day at work, and the staff were so friendly and approachable. Dog friendly, and they have several different types of seating arrangements so you can best fit your party whatever the size/vibe. If there is any down side I can think of, it is that the bathrooms are in a really wacky spot where you feel like you're kind of walking in front of everyone announcing "Hey everybody! I gotta pee!" so for any of my friends out there who may struggle with social anxiety...keep that one in mind! Beyond that, MH was a great time and I can see why I know so many people who make it a frequent on their list!
