We loved our experience here. My family is visiting the area and we saw Rio's and decided to try it. The staff was friendly, the food was all made from scratch, and it was all reasonably priced. My kids enjoyed the games there and we would definitely go back if we pass this way again.

Voodoo Brewing is located in Grand Prairie off the 161 and adjacent to IKEA that is in the Epic shopping plaza. I dropped by for a quick bite and a drink and was blown away from the interior design and setup of this local establishment. Inside, there are ample chairs and tables to sit at along with a bar. I was greeted with a warm welcome and smile by the staff as I found a seat at the bar. The beer menu was plentiful and labeled on a colorful chalkboard, stating the beer name and classification along with the ABV%. They had a large flat-screen TV playing hockey, and the food menus were easily accessible from your seat. The food menu had plenty of options such as burgers, appetizers, and pizza to choose from. I went ahead and ordered the Buffalo hot wings and had the fried pickles with a side of ranch. For my beverages, I chose a lacto cooler, which was a sour berliner Weisse and a West Coast IPA named good vibes. Both drinks were outstanding and complemented my Buffalo wings very well. The wings were sauced nicely and had a nice kick to them, and the celery and carrot sticks made everything better. The fried pickles were deep-fried golden brown to perfection and were crispy and tart giving them an impeccable flavor. The staff provided second to none customer service and was very attentive and eager to assist in any way to make my visit enjoyable. I'll definitely be back again to try different beer and maybe catch a trivia night they hold weekly and attend a live band they hold on weekends. There are happy hour specials throughout the week, and they also sell beer to go. I'm looking forward to coming back to this fine establishment and exploring more food items along with great beer!

Nestled in the IKEA parking lot, Voodoo Brewery is the perfect spot to grab a craft beer after assembling your latest furniture purchase! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind. Nice selection of their own beers and other local delights. The service at the bar is top-notch, especially thanks to Stephanie, who always greets you with a smile and a great beer recommendation. Her friendly and attentive service truly enhances the experience.

I visited Voodoo with some friends of mine. We love trying new places out especially if we can grab some cold beers !! We all ate some food as well but I was so excited the beer I forgot to take pictures of the food lol! It was just decent "bar food " ! I had some smoked wings and they had burgers. The Beer is definitely the star of the restaurant. 37 pieces was my favorite out of the flight !

Cool brewpub with modern, casual vibe. The beer is from PA, where the brewery is located, and pretty solid. The food is actually really good and almost a bigger draw for me than the beer. Their mussels with bacon and blue cheese are fantastic. I never had that combo, but it works really well. Briney mussels, the slightly spicy IPA broth accompanied by pieces of the pungent blue cheese and the crispy bacon make for a great combination. My wife enjoyed her salad as well. As for the beer, my wife liked the Lacto Kooler Berliner Weisse with lime and I liked the Kinda hot in these Rhinos Rye IPA best. Definitely worth a visit.

Friendly fast service. I sat at the bar and there was no wait (mid day). There's a nice western sports bar vibe. Metal, backless stools at the bar and all of the high top tables. I ordered the IPA flight and a house salad. The server asked if I wanted to leave the tab open or closed. I said close it out please. The restaurant pre authorized $100 on my card. When I asked why, I was informed that they do that for all customers and once the tab is closed the difference in the amount is refunded to your account. I informed her that that is important to tell customers prior to swiping their card. Otherwise, I would have given a 5 rating. They have a wide range of beers to try ... enough to cover most palates in barrels, bottles and on tap. I'd defiantly recommend trying this brewery, it's a fun and friendly place to be.

We are new to the area and couldn't wait to check out this brewery. I went with the cocktail flight which was really good and refreshing. We didn't try much food but what we did get, the server had out almost immediately. Their pretzel was buttery and fresh. I fell in love with the first bite. I can't wait to go back and see what else they have to eat. My boyfriend did say the beers were really good and they have a HUGE selection!

Here I am in Texas at the start of my travel year and had a chance to hit Voodoo Brewing. This is brewery #268! Voodoo is right across from IKEA, which is funny because I just ordered two bookcases from them but it's going to take two months to deliver. I could have just picked them up but American Airlines probably would say that's above my baggage allowance. Oh well, I digress... Voodoo was not busy at all when I walked in at about noon on a Friday afternoon, which surprised me a bit. Voodoo has a little patio area out front and a good size restaurant and bar area. It has two long bar height tables running down the middle that are made out of, or made to look like, repurposed pallets. I sat at the bar and was quickly helped out by McKenzie who was a pleasure. She was great at engaging with the customers but not overly so when I was trying to eat my food. She's a gem! I got the "Flagship Flight" and started with Lacto Kooler. This is a really good Berliner Weisse. If you like sours at all you should try this one, and even if you don't I think you should try this one. Next up was Oh Mama, a golden American lager. Then the Empty Calories, American light lager. Both were good but frankly unless I'm riding a lawnmower I rarely drink these styles anymore. Just too light for me. Good Vibes west coast IPA was quite tasty. I often don't love mosaic hops but this worked with the other hops, galaxy and Amarillo added. Voodoo Love Child is a fruited Belgian triple, aged on sour cherries, raspberries, and passion fruit. This had a bit too much sour cherry flavor for me. I just didn't really enjoy this one. Last up was Where Our Secrets Go, an imperial stout. While I sampled my beers I ordered a brisket grilled cheese and fries. This was really good. I actually was glad I ordered the fries because they were really tasty and the grilled cheese had nice big hunks of very tender brisket. I decided to revisit the Lacto Kooler as it was by far my favorite of the beers I tried here. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.

The beer is really good . So many choices. There are hard liquor drinks also. The service is amazing. Greeted at the door. The decorations are unique with the pallets for the table tops to the wine barrel tables. The mural is beautiful. The food is good Lacie was the bar tender and Ava was amazing.

Very fun with good "oldies" music. My husband had mussels with bacon and blue cheese. He said they were really good and liked the bacon and blue cheese combo. I had a house salad. I got the blue cheese dressing. I found it a nice light touch to the salad. Reg salad but the dressing g is really good. Too bad I didn't have room for a pretzel to dip it in the remaining blue cheese dressing! You can order right at your table through toast. So if you're an introvert, perfect place! No need to really interact with anyone but who you brought with you! OR you can be like me with your spouse and sit on your phone

Heard about this place and wanted to check it out. Cute fresh place, long high tables great for groups, and share space. We sat at the bar, service was ok, there was barley 2 other couple sitting, 7 people in the kitchen (yes you can see them) and they were slow, they recommended beer flight and handed us a menu. PS: The beers listed on the black boards is not what they give you as their menu, so feel free to walk around and read! We ordered their Beer Flight, it was interesting I liked only 2, the dark one, and the orange looking one in the picture - couldn't remember their names. There was also a green looking one they gave us a sample of that was pretty good. So they are famous for wings, it came a little dry. We thought it was smoked grilled wings (thigh, drum and wing), but it's a tiny smoked and then fried, we wanted it plain and sauce on side, the hot sauce is awsome, the blue cheese and the ranch tasted funny, we also tried the lemon garlic to oily and barley any lemon flavor so no. We also ordered the Buffalo Mac and cheese, it was decent not baked, flavors didn't sink in the pasta and the chicken was still dry decent flavors though, but definatly needs more cheese and love! Please note this is not a negative review, this is just an FYI so there are rooms for improvement!

The beers, the service, and the ambiance were all amazing. If you like sweet yet still sour beers, try the Lacto-Kooler. That was definitely my favorite and it's green. Who doesn't love a green beer? For a more classic IPA that isn't too hoppy, grab a Good Vibes. I created a classic flight, but they also have their flagship beer flight and IPA flight. The service was so friendly and attentive, very kind. They took great care of us while also striking up a conversation. I highly recommend coming to check this place out if you're looking for a local brewery. I mean, just look at the cute armadillo logo!

I've had so many disappointing Italian meals since I've been here over the past 10 years that I was pleasantly surprise to find this local gem. I'm vegetarian and my husband is B&R Texan. The pizza's are made with fresh mozzarella not grated parmensian cheese. The vegetables are fresh and crispy, the sauce is perfectly seasoned with herbs and spices and yes, fresh tomatoes are in there. The dough is New York style, not too thin or thick and to taste homemade. My husband loves the meat eaters pizza and often times he adds extra topping. We have been eating there regularly in the last six months and the food has been consistently Great! Yesterday I tried the sea bass and pasta dish. I ordered it to go. When I got home and open the container, the Chef had taken extra care to put the lemon, butter garlic sauce in a separate container (pippin hot). I poured it over the food when I got home. Nothing wasted. It was absolutely delicious. If you are in the mood to have an italian meal, go on over to Main Street in Grand Prairie and try Roma Italian Bistro at it s best. Pamela W.

When we called for an update, the employee was rude and said they would arrive when they could. The pizza arrived barely warm. Although they included a piece of cake, a sincere apology, phone call, or refund would have been more appropriate. If delivery times cannot be honored, customers should be informed in advance.

A Happy Hour Hidden Gem in Dallas!…read more We took a day trip to Dallas to see the circus and decided to pop into a nearby bar for drinks and small bites. Parking was a challenge, but we opted for valet and, at only $10, it was totally worth it! We originally planned to check out Bar Eden for happy hour but accidentally walked into Paradiso, which is connected. Bar Eden is a little smaller and has more of an intimate, speakeasy vibe, while Paradiso has a gorgeous, lively atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the happy hour specials were perfect for afternoon drinks--cocktails under $10! The margarita was delicious, and the other cocktails were just as pretty as they were tasty. One thing to know: it seems there's only one restroom, so the wait can be lengthy. BUT once you get inside, you'll understand why...because it's basically a girl's dream photo booth! Definitely plan a little extra time for the bathroom selfies. We didn't try the food this time, but the ambiance and music were on point. The outdoor seating is beautiful and elegant, although it was way too hot for daytime lounging during our visit. Overall, I'd absolutely come back--especially for happy hour! Great drinks, beautiful atmosphere, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.
